In Spain this game is titled "Don Pepe y los globos" (Mr. Pepe and the balloons), I never understood why it was named like that, now I know why 😂
Because they was translated from the english Eric and the floaters for the ZX Spectrum, not from the Japanese Bomberman for MSX.
And the name was "Pepe y los globos" not Don Pepe.
Bomberman series was my childhood!

By the way original Japanese version of Bomberman 64 (1997) is not called Bomberman 64.
The official name(JPN) of Bomberman 64(1997) is Baku爆 Explosion ボンバーマン Bomberman.

I rmb when I was kid, there’s a bomberman game in pc with 9 stages of bosses, got caterpillar (we need to bomb the tail) mummy, bees and we have fire extinguishers… we can play it multiplayers too but i couldn’t find it here

You seem to have the wrong game in for what's labeled as Bomberman GB. I understand that that was the Japanese title for what became Wario Blast worldwide, with GB 2 dropping the 2 for its own localization, and the former game only had you fighting other bombermen (or Warios, depending on which version you played and who you selected).
I wonder if they're making a Collection soon.

what is the story of bomber man?
I prefer the adventure games and wish they would make more like Jetters, anything 2007 and onward been a snooze fest (for me at least). Also please explain to me how does some of the 20yr old games look better than the newer Bomberman games? What happened?
