Just watched your moth tutorial and you have made the moth come alive. I love your tips and how you use scraps of material and turn them into beautiful pictures. Thank you for your time and sharing your endless talents.
Just discovered you and I love your video! How fascinating to take little bits and pieces of fabric and transform them so beautifully with the tiniest of stitches! Bravo and thank you for sharing ❣️
Another wonderful video Marion. This is my second watching of this video. It’s Saturday night and I thought “what will I watch”? Of course, I’ll watch Marion. You never disappoint 🎉
Ohhh, that Brimstone moth is beautiful, Marion! I love that you not only show us wonderful stitchery, but also introduce us to so many wonderful creatures and plants😍💫
I do sew but have not tried embroidery yet. I just love watching your delightful videos. You are so kind and generous sharing your talents and you have a calm, natural way of explaining things. Thank you so much for all your charming vlogs I enjoy them all.
GOOD evening Marion, thank you for showing how beautiful a month can be , always for sharing with us all , so claming watching you work. Have a pleasant evening, hugs Teresa xx
It’s so fascinating watching you make that moth come into being! You are very talented & I am thankful for all your teachings of your incredible craftings. 😊❤
I adore moths. I don’t see fancy ones here, but the grey ones we get in summer have lovely, varied wings. Attracted to the light, they rest against the window glass at night. They attract little frogs who suction themselves to the glass, waiting to catch a little moth or a tasty bug. Bzzt - the tongue darts out. Nature delights me! Your moth is glorious, and the construction of it is genius. I love watching the genesis of the work, the filling in, the color. I am delighted. Thank you! 💜💜💜
@@marionsworld24 They cling with their toes and their entire torso. We can see how they’re kinda suctioned onto the glass. You have to watch for a long time to see that tongue dart out. Gulp! I blink and I miss it. 🐸
You're right Alison... there's a Brimstone butterfly as well. It's also this lovely acid yellow but it doesn't have the rusty markings or the grey green crescents on it. I'm pleased you enjoyed seeing it being stitched...
Hello, Marion! I’m a quilter. I quite enjoy your tutorials and your calm, easy manner. I purchased some Inktense pencils to use in my camping journal and for making quilt labels. I’d also like to experiment with using them to add details to my FPP creature creations. I appreciate your tips and explanations. I’m going to be able to apply this to my work. Thank you, and stay well! Muskoka ON 🇨🇦
I don’t usually watch things like this because I’m only really into crochet but my mum introduced me to your videos when she came to stay and now I’m sitting here watching you on my own. I love the amazing things you do. I can’t do those sorts of things myself because they hurt my hands too much but I love seeing what you come up with. That moth looked real! ❤
Hello Marion, Your moth is quite delightful. A real treat to watch you bring it to life using simple - and accessible - items from your stash. The sort of things most of us will have, or at least appropriate alternatives. Even though this is the first, I think your final book will be exceptional.
I am going to love doing the moths with you. I seem to do more watching than doing, have simply got to get with it and start doing. LOL I love all the birds you did also. Thanks so much for sharing.
Watching you create such beauty with your stitching is truly fascinating. Thank you for sharing your talent and inspiring so many of us. From southeastern USA.
I really enjoyed your creation of the brimstone moth so pretty Marion. I have finished my week one running stitch project, looking forward to what’s coming up on Wednesday, thank you so much Marion you are so inspiring.❤️
I had to find a you tuber to show me how to make a comment 🤪 I want to thank you for this video. It makes me think, I could do that! I’ve watched others and I really like your approach and well the accent 💖 Thank you Marion
I love this sweet little moth, looking forward to the rest of the series. I would love to see a brooch. I made a bumble bee one out of bumble bee jasper cabachon with beading. I know what you make will be gorgeous :) Thank you.
Thank you for your lovely videos! I watch them while doing my own hand stitching. I am watching from Oklahoma in the United States. Best wishes…Barbara
Thank you Marion for the video as always. Well what can I say, a beautiful colourful moth and native to this country. I feel that I am going to learn to appreciate moths a lot more in these videos. I never knew they could be so pretty. A lovely relaxing visit today and it is so nice to see your subscriber count rising, so well deserved. Right I am off to paint see you next week.
Love it ❤ and I love the idea of a moth brooch. My daughter gave me a beautiful moth card last year and I made a moth hanging decoration loosely based on that, this Christmas she gave me a moth pin which is yellow 😊 the only moths that I dont like are the ones attacking my box bushes 😢 which were beautiful big specimins and would cost a fortune new, I've grown them from small plants. 8.08k followers! Well done ❤
Beautiful Marion, I love moths and yours is so life-like as if he could just flutter up off the cloth ❤ re overhead filming, I have a bracket with a ring light that clamps to my desk. Wasn't too spendy, if you want more details just ask 😊
Thanks so much Kathryn. I just can't seem to set my camera up like that. I have a tripod and I use the magnifying light that's attached to my embroidery stand that I clamp the hoop on. I was lucky that I already had that when I started to film things. I could find you on Instagram to send a message? I'm still getting used to that too...
Hello Marion - loved watching you stitch the brimstone month - the way you describe what you are thinking as you make decisions, say of thread colour, or the placing of a scrunched up fabric to represent depth etc makes me feel as if I’m sitting right next to you ! You are so calming to watch- very inspiring too. I’m going to try and get going on a project of my own now ! I’ll keep watching you too though so thank you for letting people see into a little window of your stitching world it’s just very comforting - looking forward to next week Jenny -(from Norwich Norfolk Uk) . PS. I made your ice cream and the piccalilli just before Christmas - all very very delicious - everyone in the family particularly liked the pickle so will make it every year from now on ! thank you !
Thanks for the lovely message Jennifer. I'm so happy that Great Grandma's piccalilli recipe is winging it's way outward! I've yet to find someone who didn't like it...
Oh WOW Marion, you brought that moth to life!! Brilliant 😊You keep on amazing me (us)🤗I love watching you work with the Inktense paints ..... I bought that box of paints at a 2nd hand shop YEARS ago for $5 !!!!!!!!! It's still as new, but I think I will dig it out & have a go at ..... something ????🤣🤣 I am such a procrastinator,I wish I could work like you .... I don't think my moth would resemble a moth by the time I finished with it !!!!! Looking forward to all your vids xx take care 🤗🇦🇺😎😍
So realistic Marion although I had to make my mind think you were stitching a butterfly as I have a real phobia about moths. Thank you for sharing Marion
Hi Marion, as a new viewer, your moth is beautiful. I have embroidered in the past but never in an art form like yours. I have to give this a go. Have a good week. Here in Southern Ontario Canada, we might have our first snow storm. I plan to be cosy at home and quilting my Dear Jane, almost finished as I am working on the border now. 😊❤
Welcome to my channel Susie. I'm happy you found me. We are forecast snow here by the end of the week. You've reminded me that I started a Dear Jane quite a few years ago and never got it finished. It might well appear in one of my end of the month 'getting on with ufo's' type of video. Happy quilting to you with your one.
Very awesome! Wonderful detail. Studying moths must be great. I took entomology in college (100 years ago), but I don’t think we did much of anything with moths. I remember quite a but about spiders, but that’s all. I’d love to see the portraits of your children, I’ll bet others would, too!
I quite like spiders too! They quite often have amazing patterns on their backs... The embroidery of Luke and Naomi is already on the end of one of my videos...I just can't remember which one at the moment!
Marion that is absolutely beautiful. I am a person who is scared of moths, due to a childhood trauma, but this is just gorgeous. I think I could actually come around to embroidering one or two
You work so quickly Marion. I find I daren't attempt beginning a project when I'll need to leave it for hours or more - especially at this time of year. However, it doesn't stop me doing something I can easily pick up and enjoy stitching with what time I do set aside.
You really are one of my most favourite RUclipsrs. Always joyful to watch.❤
What a lovely message to read. Thank you very much Diane!

They're very interesting and beautiful creatures.

I can't imagine seeing little frogs coming for the moths!!! I bet you have some real beautiful ones where you are Mara.

Your moth turned out beautifully! I’ve thought moths, especially the large night moths, are beautiful after reading The Girl of the Limberlost.
I'll have to look that up. It's not something I've heard of..
Beautiful and delicate!!!
Beautiful Moth, what a fun quick project.
Quick for you... not so quick for me! :) It's all in the edit or else it would be too long to watch.
So realistic Marion although I had to make my mind think you were stitching a butterfly as I have a real phobia about moths. Thank you for sharing Marion

I usually stitch in one session, but the stitchings do take some time. The moth took around 4 hours altogether.
Such a beautiful work. Greetings from Germany
