- Formed in 1991 in Manchester, England, Oasis became one of the biggest bands to come out of the 1990s. Thanks to their style of alternative rock and Britpop music, the group found much success in the UK and then went on to conquer the United States. Tensions between the band members, especially between brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, persisted throughout Oasis' existence however and this eventually led to the band's demise. I'm in. Love Oasis. The Beatles better? Um, yes. Especially considering The Beatles influenced generations of rock artists for decades and much of their methods are still copied today. I know the comment about being bigger than the Beatles was made in excitement and when they were younger and more cocky (as a young rock band SHOULD be), but I know Noel has at least backed off of that statement and belief quite a bit.
To me, Oasis was great and they brought back a lot of what was missing in Rock. And their style and swagger were great. Loved it. It is NOT taking anything at all away from Oasis to say the Beatles were "better." In fact, just the comparison alone makes them legendary.
Two GREAT bands, both of which cracking a stodgy U.S. market despite odds. The U.S. market can be incredibly frustrating and hypocritical.

Woodzo I don't think Stop the Clocks should be included as it is a compilation album but FTM is technically a proper album.

Appearently you can make a 'history of oasis' and not talk about Knebworth or the Stone Roses.
This was literally a listing of their albums (not even all of them) stretched into a 6 minute video and that's it. Oh yeah and and they let us know Noel and Liam didn't get along.

If you dont know what it is, its a martini glass full of champagne, (Margerita inspired) however, instead of salt around the rim of the glass... Cocaine :') classic noel

That's what a champagne supernova is it was sort of popular in clubs in the 90s. The actual song is about fuck all. It's a nice song, but it's not got some beautiful meaning about amturity, like people think, and Noel even said "nah we just said 'where were you while we were getting high' to our mates if they weren't around".
Noel said the song was about a Vauxhall Nova they used to drink champagne and get baked in all the time. However most of the lyrics don't have a meaning according to NG

One of my all time favourite albums Be Here Now! Don't go away, stand by me, I hope I think I know, all around the world, my big mouth, for me it's just great song after great song, it got slated cuz of the length of the songs and the over production but I loved it! Suppose it just comes down to personal opinion - and it is the fastest selling album in British history cuz it sold more in 7 days then adele's album (if you research it up on goggle) X ;)

Went to Liam’s and Noel’s gig Noel’s yesterday and Liam’s last year now guarantee Noel be back in Ireland next year Liam was in malahide last year and he said he’d be back playing in Ireland and he’s playing in Cork next week
