Thank you for reacting! I enjoyed listening to the discussion about the chord progression and how best to utilize her voice. To me, the best way to use her voice is following what catches her fancy. She was deeply involved in the composing, writing, visual designing, and obviously performing for this mini-album, and she and her collaborators really found playful and engaging ways to use her voice. It feels so fresh, yet so fitting for Solar's multi-faceted personality. To me, these have a different but equal impact as her powerful vocals.

About Solar sitting on top of her face statue, she is like a Rapunzel in Queenbee-verse, where those who want to approach her are not princes who are going to save a victimized female charactor anymore but worker-bee-like follewers who beg for attention from the queen by working hard to collect honey to appeal the queen, as sweet and attractive as a typical female darling a.k.a honey but actually a dominant here who spells honey voice and makes them melt like honey.
2:03 and 7:43 Every time Solar shows up on screen, Efra be like : "She is so good looking !" It's just so funny to me, also don't worry we all agree with you, this woman is goddamn beautiful !!!
when the pre-chorus builds up and then drops into an almost empty-sounding chorus (with only drums + bass + vocals), it's an anti-drop. and after the anti-drop you either get a second verse or another section that has a fuller sound.

To partly answer your question about the creative process, Solar's bee-stung lips are all over this one. She co-wrote the lyrics and music with RBW's co-CEO Kim Dohoon and another RBW producer. One of the teasers showed her in meetings where she seemed to be discussing concepts for the MV but RBW sucks at providing subtitles so I don't know what they were saying and I'm sure they didn't reveal any spoilers anyway. The drop you liked so much starts off like Another One Bites the Dust but after the first three beats it goes off in a totally different direction that's cool af. There seemed to be a couple of nods to the members - there are bits 'o Honey that remind me of Moonbyul's Lunatic and I think the bit with the bee was partly a pun on Hwasa's I'm a B. I dunno about your comment that she wasn't rapping - sure as hell sounded like a full rap verse to me and I thought she killed it. As for the scene where she's sitting on the large sculpture of her face there's no way it's just for looks. Anytime you think something seems random, odd, out of place, or "just for looks" in a Mamamoo MV it's a big clue that there's more to it than meets the eye there's always hidden or symbolic meaning to the image. I haven't tried to analyze the song & MV yet so I can't give you a theory. I'm having too much fun listening to it. I love the song and the whole album. It's short but the songs are so diverse it's like you got a five course meal with diet portions - it feels like a lot while leaving you wanting more.
