I agree that most people who use these will probably have a different mixer for their vinyl, I have always preferred the sound of ranes to pioneer going back to the ttm-56.
Thx for all the in depth videos Soo. I haven't seen any review mentioning and showing the external power strip. Can you show us a in a video or on a few pictures here or on the serato forums. I would like to know what it looks like. For touring DJs, I wanna know if all I will need to travel to EU/USA is - 1 - a "kettle like" cable with a EU/US prong that will plug into the power strip. OR - 2 - a whole different power strip altogether each time I travel.
@@djsoo I saw it thx. is the power cord detachable? we dont really see that end of the strip. I would like to know if all I need is another IEC cable :)
Talking about vinyl and pioneer on the same video is an insult… (nothing personal but in a general context) your video is very helpful to offer and insight (and a slap to some vinyl fan to wake the F up) Thanks for sharing
I mean they made some improvements with their latest gear. It’s not like that generation of gear where the preamps were completely abysmal like on the 250mk2, interface 2, and s9. Granted the grand majority of their controllers still have those terrible preamps.
You say "pre amp phono" I thought that phono was just an input can you explain me better why is considered a pre amp? I speak spanish , no body use that term so I would like to understand better that , thanks
The connection/plug is called RCA. Phono is specifically for vinyl and includes a layer of amplification and EQ to make records sound like they were meant to sound. Not all phono preamps sound the same
Son plus clair sur la rane et médiums plus présents, mais plus punchy au niveau des basses sur la rev7. Sonne globalement plus naturel et équilibré sur la rane.

@@djresqvideomix it’s detachable but it’s using the 2 prong iecs you find on their cdjs I think
i like the sound of rane scratching better, however, in this comparison, to me the pioneer sounds more airy, with better tonality
Could you compare the sound from the microphone?

Both are beyond s***
Rane is smoother and cleaner
Rane One is better I think
