Giveaways are so tricky. Because you do want to try to find new people, but you're so right. It feels awful to give someone something really cool that you had never heard of before and never will again after when that could have gone to someone that is a regular supporter. Now I just give away stuff to people that are channel members or hang out in my streams.
Exactly. And, that's a great idea to figure out how to do giveaways that reward channel members/regulars. I wouldn't mind doing something like that at all.
Hi, Wahoo. Great analysis and I loved the way you embodied the trolls. There's sometimes a fine line between critique and trollishness. I genuinely appreciate critique or when someone brings up a topic for debate. These comments usually makes me a better RUclipsr or think about a topic more clearly. There of course are some legitimate critiques that have trollishness vibes. Then there are just some fools who make unjustified, cruel comments.
Thanks man! Yeah, although my first reaction to a legitimate critique troll is to get defensive, if I can check my ego, then their comments actually help me to grow as a RUclipsr.
Ackchyually! 🤣! Oh damn that had me rolling lol. That was very interesting and entertaining. You always come up with something unique! I find it fun sometimes to respond to the angry comments with a “👍👍” or “thanks for the support” since they’re looking for an angry, triggered response lol. Critiques are fine as long as you’re cordial. I haven’t seen simp comments yet in the community but I see them all the time in videos of celebrities and the really huge YT channels lol. They can be funny 😂. Anyways thanks so very much for the awesome shout-out 🙏. Have a great week. Be well. 🤙 18:53
Oh, man, the thumbs up or thanks for the support is a great way to respond to trolls. I need to start doing that, haha. And, you're welcome...I really do appreciate your supportive comments very much.
I feel like you created this video specifically as an attack on me. Sure, I am envious of The Wahoo, and my belly does continue to grow as time goes on, but I don't appreciate you calling me out in this way. I will plan on posting a reaction to your how-to-react-to-comments video, and will privately react to comments on that video. I have also escalated this to your manager.
How about the algorithm comment(like the grifter). Goes like this “another great one” no specifics to the content of the video and sometimes left sooner than the commenter would have had time to even watch the whole video. Sonetimes they’re fishing for new subs to their channel only to drop you after you’ve taken the bait. Or they want to simply acknowledge your channel but don’t or can’t take the time to watch. Which at the very least is ok as it may help your algorithm. Great breakdown of the human Psyche! Yes, Dave - JYAG is amazing. He’ll even note your vid length and comment full watch. Text book commenter, indeed! Thanks Wahoo for another crappy video 👍❤️
Oh, man, the fishing for new subs to only drop you after you've taken the bait is the worst. Talk about feeling used, haha. It's definitely similar to the grifter. And, yep, we could all learn some lessons from Dave...though, I must admit...the commentingcollector has certainly earned his name with his great supportive comments as well!
Oh! You CAN pronounce my channel correctly G0D@MN LOL!! ...Yes, tell me how to deal lol! H0ly fuk, if there was a shout-out not to have, yet still appreciate the endearment, I think that was it, yet I speakah tha troof! There is no hope! ;^D F'seriously tho, thanks for the appreciation(?) ! LOL!! Peace
LOL! Reading through your comments as you progressed through the video was the highlight of my night haha. You're welcome and I do appreciate your support of the channel (and for helping to balance out my naivete lol!)

I have come to believe that online life is entirely trollish.
You're not wrong, haha

Missing: the non commenting troll? I think I was one of the first 50 subscribers, and a regular viewer, but rarely comment.
Ooohhh...that's a good category to add. Maybe I'll do a video one day on the "lurker" haha. Thanks for supporting my channel since the early days!
