"Nobody has Shudder!"
Yeah, the truth hurts sometimes...
I don't know why they don't put this out on DVD for $20 and make millions.
or VHS even.
I've never seen this movie, but I did catch the trailer and immediately fell in love with the music. You listen to this soundtrack with your windows down, your sunglasses on, and the volume cranked up while speeding down the highway, there's just no way you *can't* feel cool.
Also the filmmaker is actually two filmmakers under the name of one entity
That's fucking awesome
They are basically s fusion
@@amalgama-dette1430 basically
This type of imagery is ABSOLUTELY inspirational to me. It’s as if an H.R. Giger piece was imbued with both techno machinery, and old school robotics ((the robots are very reminiscent of Metropolis))
We NEED more films like THIS. MASSIVE in scale but not filled with overly obvious CG. IMO if someone gave me a budget to make a sci-fi flick, I’d stay away from full cg and recreating the vibrant drawn effects of the 80’s and 90’s while using miniatures and green screens and using CG in tangent to not only make the miniature much more real, but adding more of an ominous feeling, something you should get when you see a massive cold ship drifting through space.
Normally at the end of the movie there is a 50min video explaining the making of the movie
Yep this sci fi movie is definitely a visual masterpiece. I love retro synth and the 80s and 90s.
Shudder?? Man, ain't nobody got time for dat!
Good to have you back!
I agree this film was awesome.
I still trying to see this movie but I don't have shudder and it's not available in my zone
amazing visual eye candy
im debating doing the 7 day free trial of shudder because you cant rent it
I know you love synth music but WHAT IS THE SAXIPHONE MUSIC YOU USE FOR YOUR OPENING THEME? And the title for the end theme music in this one video as well? Because trying to find their correct names online has been a real pain.
The opening theme is One Night in Neo Kobe City from Snatcher, and the ending song is 85 Again VHS Glitch Remix by Robert Parker :)
@@CorruptNostalgia THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!! :)
For me it a mix of warhammer 40k, 80s aesthetics, giger and hotline miami :V
Considering how awsome the soundtrack and visuals in this I guess "extended short film since its too short to be called a movie" are, I'm surprised that you haven't reviewed "Mandy" yet.
I cannot even join shudder because of my country lol, vpn doesn't work as well
The same happens to you, happens to me. I love the film, sthetics, and bso. I dont know Carpenter Brut and the entire bso is f***ng amazing. AWESOME !!!
Please review the Evangelion or shin godzilla
With the runtime and the Carpenter Brut inspiration and wild sci fi elements, it sounds a lot like how Interstella 5555 took a Daft Punk album and built an hour long raygun space opera film.
Though while the effects and model work look gorgeous. There's something I cannot put my finger on that makes all the shots with humans look super cheap and low budget. It's weird.
I just need to find somewhere to watch the darned thing so I can judge it by its own merits on a fair way instead of random shots from trailers and reviews. Because, humans aside. It looks and sounds like something I'd shell out real money for a bluray on. But Shudder is not even available in my country so no matter how much cash I toss at them they won't let me watch it.
@jmalmsten
I'm sending you a PM with a link to download thru Mega.nz, it Is Not Spam. EDIT: Forgot RUclips has no PM system-- you'll receive an email with a " gmail.com" address. Hope you like it !!
Please samurai cop
It's on the to-do list
Is it gory
Not really, there's just a ton of nudity
@@CorruptNostalgia so like crybaby.....kinda misleading and a miss opportunity
@@NerdXZ-pn4nt I don't think the film is meant to be "gory" in the first place. The trailers didn't even pass it off as some gorefest film, and I've watched it so I can say when it gets real, it gets real lol.
Visually amazing and subversive but executed poorly on some fronts. This product is a great example of why a skilled producer/director is needed to make sure a great concept is molded into a great film. The Seth Ickerman team are amazing at doing BIG things with little resources, telling an original story and taking risks, but there is a blatant lack of refinement from a quality producer. Someone needed to step in and show them what does and doesn't work from a story/exhibition/dialogue stand point. They score an A+ with the concept and visuals but end up making a B movie that smells of student film. I prefer a movie to not spoon feed me and let me do my own thinking but their story needs to still TELL a story. It can be a hard line to stand on and all the more reason to have a great head of production step back and force some choices.
Just watched it, what a waste of time
The finished product is disappointing.
