As you can probably tell, Im at home this morning watching all of your videos, watched the original one I commented on first, then started at the beginning and have watched on through, I love this one. Again, it is so nice to see you using photoshop and illustrator. I have a background in photoshop, so illustrator is new to me this year. I have had a few times is has not worked for me when i saved it as a svg, so i will try to make sure next time nothing is checked, because i have left all the default stuff checked. SO thanks again for you help and dumbing down the illustrator program and making the tutorials for laser users. I don't need to know all the other stuff it can do for right now, just getting started, just the basics for my application which is design for laser use. So thanks again, This signature of your daughter looks great on her door. I could see both of my girls wanting the same when they were younger. They are both in their mid 20's now and have flown from the coop. I am glad to see this technology is working to make for some fun projects while your kids are still at home. Thanks again my friend. I hope you and your family are all doing well and staying healthy in our current pandemic. I hope the best for you all, keep up the great videos and have a blessed week. Dale
Dale, thank you for taking the time to watch the videos and to comment on each. It was the highlight in my morning. I'm glad you found them useful. If you ever have a question you think I might be able to answer, let me know. Best to you!
Just wanted to say I really appreciate your videos. I just purchased my first Glowforge this morning and should have it next week. I am going to try and copy some of your ideas since you do a good job walking people through them.
Frickin' Laser Designs and Tutorials Thank you for the reply. Do you ever do tutorials on free programs like Inkscape? Or have a free program you recommend? I’ve been struggling with figuring out Inkscape but not sure I can afford illustrator.
I currently don't simply because I don't know the program and it would be too time-consuming for me to learn it alongside other things. I encourage you to stick with Inkscape and work through the written tutorials here: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17Wd6UZ8_WGDupc5WfMc_aiSxE-NoEuDfEByOFHLVxcc/edit#gid=0 Hopefully once a few building blocks are in place the learning will come much quicker and easier. I hope this helps some.
