They did this girl SO dirty. Her label knew her voice was not polished, she hasn’t learned proper vocal technique possibly due to not having a vocal coach who would not only help her with her voice, but with her aural ability. The poor girl is singing this song in an entirely different key than the original key on the track (so she’s clearly tone deaf), and at this age she just needed to polish up her vocals. Even in the studio version she struggles to remain on key, and it’s not her I blame it’s her label and family. This song did well in my early teens due to Busta Rhymes being on it, but she needed a bit more time to cook.
The label originally signed her off this and it's the demo, that explains why it sounds the way it does. It's shocking they didn't let her re-record before it's official release but I prefer other songs from her because she sounds better.

But if you watch closely at 1:47 to 1:48 she almost lost her balance and tripped but caught her step.

Her clothes didn’t fit well, and the backup dancers were trying to be the center of attention; plus her voice is basically singing in church, music drowns out the voice. The prerecorded backup vocals are not great either, sadly just a bad performance all the way around sadly.
