It's absolutely amazing to see many others affected by '02 as I was! Those were simpler days. Winning the cup with the kings will always have a place in my memory! Oh and the color commentary! EDIT: forgot about this gem: Jim: ''Oops! I poured coffee on my legs...'' Don: ''Those are my legs.''
same here...opened for the Foo Fighters. I was really only there to see these guys. "discovered" them on a fishing trip in Canada when we stayed in a motel room playing saturday AM videos. I was hooked immediately
It's another instance of a good Canadian group who weren't able to cross over in the States. Most of these groups would've had decent success in the American market if they were promoted better
I miss the commentary team from this game. "What does he have to do walk on water?" "In a sense he was" "Hey you're right" "Don't trust the smiling penguin"
Funny I hear this song and immediately am brought back to playing NHL 2002 as a kid. Anything from 1997 to 2003 puts me right back to a time where life wasn’t that serious and everything was fun and free.
I remember playing NHL 2002, and since then (6 years lol) I've been looking for the songs in the game. Others include Fat Lip by Sum 41, I Hear You Calling by GOB, and It's Only Me by BNL.
NHL 2002!!! But seriously, how did this band get no recognition or attention? They’re not even in my college radio station rotation. They are a severely underrated band
22 years and still loving this song every year I celebrate living this long. While others songs certainly dominate in the short run, this song I listened to THE most and will continue to late next year as well.
Awesome this song immediately makes me think of NHL 2002 and how much fun I was having being out of highschool and just working. The future seemed much brighter then lol Of course I liked this band too.
@Phil Skepsis Still going somehow but damn I wrote that comment 13 years ago hah and I sounded so defeated back then; when I really wasn't. I certainly was feeling wistful though.
So I just spent a night going through all the licensed soundtracks from all those great sports and racing games of my past. Tony Hawks, Need for Speed, other NHL games, you name it. This is still the best song from any of em.
I loved drafting those 85+ potential guys onto my team who never really panned out in the league like Oleg Saprykin, but other veterans like Eric Daze and of course picking those guys with the heavy shot. Such a great era of life.
my goodness i've been looking for this video all over the net and who would've thunk it was on youtube...thanx much...haven't heard this since middle school...
I'll have to go back and try that game again...was really getting into it had played it a couple of times before, and had a friend over to play it with last time I picked it up off my pile of games. Liked everything else about it though. Thanks, you inspired me not to give up on NHL 2003!
for sure dude,.i use to skate out front of my house with my childhood bros with the treble charger cd cranked to pump me up..90's and even early 2000 was sick to grow up to
I love NHL 2002, I just got done playing it on original X-box, I'm in about the 3rd year, and I'm 12-0-1 as the Caps. Still got Jagr. I love this song, and this is the first time I've ever seen the vid. 5 stars!!
Offsides - Off Icings- Off Game Speed - Max Shot power - Max Shot Accuracy - Max Hitting - Max Injuries - Max Fighting - Max Penalties - Max Beating the computer 50 to nothing whilst trying to get as many penalties and injuries as possible.
Saw these guys in Kelowna, BC many years ago. Awesome show! I've sunk to a brand new low many of times over the years. This tune still rocks after all these years and makes me think there will be highs soon..... 🤣
Am I the only one here who knew this song from the album because I was a treble charger fan 😂 I love that it got so much exposure on NHL games though! Nostalgia overload.
My dad bought me a PS2 and NHL 2003 for X-Mas in 2002, and it was him that introduced me to this song. I was 10 when I got the PS2 and i'm 18 now, fuck I feel old
Pretty funny that so many people agree. I hold a special place in my heart for the NHL 2002 soundtrack. Reminds me of having big dreams when I was young in summer...
oh my god!!! ive been trying to find this song for years! i kept hearing it on a nhl demo years back!!!!!!!! reunited at last. thanks 4 da upload dude!!!!!
Don't really know why your comment showed up in my inbox, but I agree on both counts. I still play nhl 2002 on original x-box, and I'm not really aware of Treble Chargers music, except for this song. If the rest of their music is as good as this song however, yes, they are definitely underrated.
... And I want to know Have I gone too far Have I sunk to a brand new low And I want to know If I've gone too far Cause I've lost all my self control ... Love this song

Loved that 2002 soundtrack
The year is 2002 and Mike Comrie has led the Oilers to their ninth consecutive Cup. Comrie finished the year with 95 goals and 186 pts.

NHL 02 !!! It's crazy how much video game soundtracks shaped our music tastes :)
So I just spent a night going through all the licensed soundtracks from all those great sports and racing games of my past. Tony Hawks, Need for Speed, other NHL games, you name it. This is still the best song from any of em.
