I retired in Pattaya, Thailand. My condo is a five-minute drive to the beach, and the rent is $207 + electric and water $105 = $312/month. (I have a video of the Condo.)
Don't buy into any of these prices for one minute! I've lived in DaNang and currently live in Thailand. I live on Social Security, my budget is very modest! I don't drink or blow my money on anything extravagant. What's more realistic is 800 to 1000 unless you want to exist in poverty and barely eat right. I really hate these AI generated videos. They're not well thought out at all, the voice over barely pronounces names correctly, and to rely on inputed information over investigating for yourself just encourages a deceptive message overall. Good for making money by being lazy and letting AI do the volume posts for you, but you easily lose credibility through incorrect information and deception. Just a joke!
Some of these places they would target you in ten minutes , dangerous and no Police back up as they pay them off ...your right son ...What is Thailand like to live ? Hi from the UK by the way ...
I lived in Pattaya for 2 years recently. I would agree with you and say $800 to $1,000 in Thailand if you lived in the sticks and never ate out and only ate local food that was purchased by a Thai. More like $1,200 to $1,600 living in a city and eating out a bit and eating more western foods available at the big supermarkets.
I fully agree. $150 rent will get you a studio apartment in a township two hours from ChiangRei. I'm hoping these costs are all off by similar %s. I'd like to visit Marrakesh..
Greetings: GreenGlobe --- Take this will a grain of salt... My experience = I live between Panama ( Central America ) and Colorado, USA. Yes, developing countries may appear to have low costs for their average citizen ; however , Americans will not want to live at this drastically lower standard .
A friend retired to the Philippines (Cebu Island, Talisay city) with his Filipina wife. They had a home built for a total of $25,000 US around the year 2001. It's an American style home with cement walls and a steel roof. They live very well on his SSI which he took at age 62 for $1,045 US a month. They have Sat TV and Internet. Visited them twice. Watched the SuperBowl live on a Monday morning. I plan to retire there at age 70 to maximize my SSI
Apart from Thailand, all of those places also happen to be some of the most dangerous countries in the world so there is not much point in traveling to those countries anyhow!!!!!!!!!!
Some of these places are not where you want to visit, let alone live ! Egypt In Morocco I can't see myself living there Not even visiting there The others sound good And of course they have their good points A few bad but not many.
I have friends in Morocco who will disagree with you. Some things, like fresh fruit, is available for pennies on the dollar, fish and lamb are plentiful and cheap. Beef is expensive, and pork is hard to find at any price.
I have been spending 3 months each winter in South Morocco for past 10 years. James J Walsh in Limerick city Ireland 🇮🇪 PS I have a property in Bulgaria and planning to move permanently 2025.
My wife is Indonesian, I lived in Taiwan, the Philippines, Thailand and Sri lanka. I can assure you that in none of these countries, even if they where not all mentioned here you can currently live with less than 1000 to 1500 € per month. My wife's family lives in a small village near the Southern coast of East Java. And even there unless you live in a shed and eat only white rice with some vegetables you need more than 800€ per month. And then you go nowhere, buy no clothes, etc...Thailand was relatively cheap when I lived and worked there (Changmai and Bangkok) in the late 80's and early 90's but even then 800 -1000€ would not cut it to survive even if you lived very frugal. When I was back there with my family, now 10 years ago, I could hardly believe how expensive everything had gotten. More than double what it used to be. The Philippines I found very unsafe and expensive the one time I was there for work in the early 2000's. As for Colombia I have plenty friends from that country and their only wish is to get out of there as it is so unsafe. One friend from Pereirra, had 3 members of her family killed, her aunt one of those, was attacked by an escaped convict, brutally tortured, raped and murdered. Her husband was killed a few monts later because he was making too much waves because his wife's case did not get solved. A week after he was kid in his home in front of his 9 year old daughter the police found the killer of his wife. Another friend from Cali lost both her brother and husband because the got caught in a cross fire between police and gangsters. And Colombian as well is expensive to live. 1200 - 2000€ is the bare minimum, depending on where want to live. Oh and do not forget most of these countries do not make it easy to stay there.
BS video but it is very inexpensive compared to the USA. I live in both Bangkok and Makati and it costs about 1/4 what it did in America. The two biggest savings are rent and the top medical insurance. Medical in Bangkok is top notch.

BS !! Living in Portugal with 400 to 600 USD a month you will sleep on the streets and you wont even have a hot shower
Can you do a video like this for South America and the Caribbean? I need ideas to travel.
It’s amazing how far your dollar can go in some countries. Great tips for budget travelers

Serbia ? OMG they had a war and killed millions not long ago !
Eating a meal for $3 is good , if you eat twice a day that amounts $6 a day which is $180 a month. So how can you be living on $200 a month...?

Dangerous Islamic countrys , your right there dangerous to visit never mind move to !

This list sounds fascinating! In your opinion, are there any countries that should be added? I'd love to hear more
Expenses are greatly underestimated. Sorry, guys. You’ll need at least 4 times more in any of the presented countries.😊
You don’t talk about visa restrictions
Robot voice can't pronounce Medellin.
india famous for his parfume and cuisine 🙂
Interesting

Just watch out for the locals who will try to scam you including the police.
Yes there all dangerous , Serbia I had to laugh at that one omg
HOW ABOUT LISTING THEM UP FRONT?? OR USE THE VIDEO LINE TO SHOW THEM WHEN I HIT THE RIGHT ARROW??
This cheapest countries must not allow citizens of rich countries come to explore their societies....
Such an interesting video! Wishing everyone a productive day at work!
The quoted prices are a joke. $1200 is a baseline for most of them and if you want any extras the cost goes up fast.
BS about Philippines. It's more expensive than you think. Even local people there can not live by $300 a month..

YES THIS VIDEO IS CLICK BAIT
You sound like an AI generated response to keep people in the USA so they can feed the big Pharma system, you are so wrong on so many levels
False,Romania now is very expensive!

It's amazing to see how far $50 can go in these countries. Perfect guide for budget travelers!
What's with the thumbnail of Jurassic women?
Clickbait
These prices are impossible and this doesn't really mention anything of value. Also most of these countries are super dangerous
200$ a month is overdriven
lies. consider everything this movie says at least 3 times more expensive.
Yeah but living in those countries has low income
Sorry your prices are not realistic !!!
Never India...
Lol... You lose all credibility when you 'cherry pick' your pictures & scenary. You should have made it more realistic 👎
