  • Trying to get a little more in depth for you guys out there looking to build your own Hot Rod or custom chassis. I decided to bring this roller along to USTE with me so I needed to fab some front suspension. It works well enough for now but its more about the process building it.

I've always thought it would be cool to do a suicide frontend with one of those drop axles and a leaf spring. Fun to watch you brainstorm.

Rat science!! Maybe some 90 degree bends to stiffen that front bracket. Great looking project, as usual!!

Looks pretty good, but I think it would look better if the upper shock mounts were beside the grill instead of in the center. Maybe use some steel welded to the frame? Just my humble opinion.
I love how the "highboy" turned out! Best of show in street class!💯
Thanks for letting everyone take pictures of their rigs in your scale garage, I wish I had brought a couple more trucks over for that!

What about something like the radiator braces on semi trucks? Use some brass rod that you could thread each end with a die after putting any bends in it to clear engine or servos. Wouldn't take much to stiffen it up.
