This is absolutely brilliant. I just have one question being that I have a problem with time. Is there a way to increase my proficiency so i am ready for my GCSE Geography exam in a couple of months.
Two months is enough to turn your grades around for sure. Just need to spend plenty of time learning your case studies and content (infographics like these help, but also Seneca or Revision guides) then spend time recapping on the sections you are less secure on. You can do it!
Command words are worth getting into, you can google AQA GCSE Geography command words to find out what they mean: www.aqa.org.uk/resources/geography/gcse/geography/teach/command-words
if it’s a discuss question and you don’t show both for and against but you include a case study and figures can you still get full marks on the question
Great video 👍 Just wanted to ask how you would answer the 4mk example question and whether you can just use 1 paragraph for 4 & 6 markers (still including multiple points) as that is what I have been doing for a while without any issues? Thank you :)
Yes you can do it that way. Ultimately the examiner will look to credit your answer wherever possible and not be too concerned about how it looks. That said you need to use the Point-evidence-explain format however which way you do it. Try not to 'list' multiple points - if you say something - tell them why!
Yes I will add that one in for you. Essentially 2 marks is 1 point + development and 3 marks are rare actually but if you do come across one it is 2 points + 1 development
Hello! I've got my Geography paper 1 tomorrow, and for mocks, my teacher had taken away marks for not writing a conclusion/introduction for my 6-markers and 9-markers... just to clarify, are these necessary in the real exam?
Evaluate and Assess are very very similar. Evaluate means to 'weigh up' the pro's / con's for example... Assess - is often used to say 'How much' you agree or disagree...
YES! You even need to do it for a two marker if its an explain question - you need to say WHY... so this means that.. or this is because.. is 100% good for a 4 marker.
thankyou so much my teacher never taught me this he just gives us the question and expects us to just answer
Happy to help - this will absolutely have a massive impact if you follow my method :)
the handwriting is insanely good so easy to understand thanks a ton!
Cheers! I am so glad it helps :)
Ty this is by far my biggest problem in geography. You may have just saved my grade 🙏
Its everyones tricky bit - once you crack it you are sorted! Hope it went well :)
I think you've saved me for my exam tomorrow!! Thank you 😭😭
Happy to help!
Thank you!! In the future do you think you could maybe do a walkthrough of an example 9 mark question as that would be really helpful.
That is a great idea, I will add it to my list for you.
Thank you very much this is extremely helpful and definitely makes me feel more confident on writing these 👍
Wicked!

aaaahhhhhh its in like 15 days
helped me alot, I have my IGCSE Geo paper 1 and 2 within this week :))
Best of luck! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I understand the structure, but what I don't understand is the command words and what I really need to be putting in there for my answers.

Thank you very much!
You're welcome!
hii!! i have a question! so is evidence and case study the same thing?
and also are you supposed to use evidence in all 4, 6 and 9 mark questions?
Evidence and case study are very similar. Evidence is found in the figures for a 4 marker and then case study is normally used in 9mark Q's.
if it’s a discuss question and you don’t show both for and against but you include a case study and figures can you still get full marks on the question
No.. you need to show both sides if its a discuss or evaluate question :)
@@GeographyCaseStudies oh no 😭 I feel like there was barely anything to argue against in the exam tho
Great video 👍

It is very similar yes.
Thanks this helped
So glad 🙂
superb
Thanks 🤗
Great video will be using next year!
Have fun! 🤣
can you do 2 and 3 marker structures too?
Yes I will add that one in for you. Essentially 2 marks is 1 point + development and 3 marks are rare actually but if you do come across one it is 2 points + 1 development
@@GeographyCaseStudies okay thank you

You don't need a conclusion on 6 markers. You do on 9 markers. Introductions only need to be very short - its not English :)
Can i use this for ocr a geography
Yes you can as it also applies.
Is this for AQA?
Tysm this is so good
No worries 😉
great, thanks! super useful
So glad its useful :)
What is the difference between “Assess” and “Evaluate” command words in 8 markers?
Evaluate and Assess are very very similar.
Evaluate means to 'weigh up' the pro's / con's for example...
Assess - is often used to say 'How much' you agree or disagree...
thank u so much😃😃😃😃
No problem 😊
so helpful !
Glad you think so!
I thought was only an 8 mark question?
9 Marks is the most on AQA
thank you but there is still one thing that i don't know what to do which is describe the location of a physical land mark
I can do that... I will add it to my list
For 4 markers isn't it just X2 P.E paragraphs?
Yes exactly that.
She sound like imogen from heartstopper
Do I? Interesting my son loves that show I will have to listen for her voice now :)
Does this work for Paper 4 too?
There are only three questions for us in Geography at GCSE. :)
@@GeographyCaseStudies I do IGCSE so I was just curious
life saver
🫶🏼
For a describe 4 mark question, do i still need to use TIB and TMT please?
YES! You even need to do it for a two marker if its an explain question - you need to say WHY... so this means that.. or this is because.. is 100% good for a 4 marker.
