@@blvckghost8406 I think they were referring to RoS. “Somehow, palpatine returned”
@@bennettbt8864 The idea that Palpatine had learned how to transfer his conscience between bodies and he had clones of himself ready in case ever got killed had already been explored many years earlier in the expanded universe though, Disney didn't make that up. As was the fact the wasn't even the first Sith to do it, he learned it from Vitiate.
Palpatine was a historian of the Sith and he became so powerful because learned everything he could about his predecessors. Unlike other Sith like, say, Darth Maul, who were idiots who just wanted to hack and slash and usually ended up dying young.
@@BigUriel yea, but absolutely none of it was established in disney canon until four months after RoS. It was such a tack on idea with no nuance. Definitely wasnt what JJ planned during TFA.
“Too angry to die?” Was DoomSlayer a Sith?
They’d be awesome! Horrifying, but AWESOME!
There is a beta version of glory kills from doom 2016, one of which the slayer uses the force, literally, to crush an imp. And it. Is. AWESOME!
Was thinking Kratos as a Sith myself but Doomslayer is a great fit too
Goblin Slayer(the character) is probably one as well then.

Normies: There's no way Darth Maul could've survived being cut in half. It's physically impossible for someone to survive that kind of injury.
Sion: Cut in half? I didn't release I'd come during amateur hour.
Jedi Outcast had a Dark Jedi who was cut in half and just learned to fly to make up for the lack of legs.
Not to mention if a human like Anakin can survive severe burns for an extended period of time through channelling the dark side fuelled by hatred with it having already been spelt out by Palpatine that "the dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some can consider to be unnatural" I really don't get why so many have a gripe with a Zabrak with significantly different biology like Maul managing to survive being bisected long enough to find a life-saving prosthetic (especially when there's already been rare cases of humans having survived similar injuries for an extended period of time in real life through sheer will).

Wahaha. The comment we needed so bad. Yeah that's the point. Though I wasn't a fan of bringing back Maul but people have no idea about other Sith Lords who did much more serious shit.

Heres a hug for you big guy sorry it’s thousands of years to late
He got it from Mittra Suurik and then he died
I think he could use a teddy to go along with that hug and friends.
This is the saddest thing and most accurate

Darth Sion:*too angry to die*
Doomslayer: Finally, a worthy opponent. Our battle will be LEGENDARY!
The Doom Slayer wins, since he's still alive (I think) even after the events of Doom Eternal+The Ancient Gods.
The doomslayer is more powerful than anything in the star wars universe abaloth doesn't count because he is from outside the Galaxy and the force can't see him
@@michaelandreipalon359 But it doesn't mean Doomslayer can kill Dart Sion.
No one can kill him.
@@theorcamafia Except Doomslayer isnt that powerful, just a really strong soldier. Also, "Abeloth" isn't from outside of the Star Wars galaxy, SHE is very much from within the galaxy, and is very much a part of the Force, and can be sensed through the Force. She even uses it.
Doom slayer isn't just a normal soldier, he is blessed by the divinity machine and basically as powerful as god.
The symbol he wears isn't his, it is the mark of the beast and the sign of a primevil. A primevil is essentially a god and are so powerful that a universe can only contain one, so they are spread across multiple.
They are able to become more powerful by killing and never have to rest, eat or drink. The ultimate primevil also known as Devaad or the dark lord is the most powerful and was only bested by his son known as the father.
This is the basic run down of some of what they could do.
The doom Slayer is one of them due to the divinity machine, it has very specific requirements in a person, but it can grant the rank of primevil.
The doom slayer is exceptionally powerful due to him constantly killing demons for eons (remember he gets more powerful the more he kills).
He became so powerful that he could crush the life sphere of the father with minimal effort and kill devaad who is the creator of all life (basically god).
The only reason he can die to a zombie and his punches don't do anything is because of gameplay mechanics. If he was as strong in the game as he is in lore, the game would last 5 minutes so they have to nerf him in gameplay.
If you think about it he is what all Sith want to be. They accept anger, hate and pain, they dont mind physical deformities and damage and they seek physical immortality. Not a perfect Sith, but damn close
Reminds me of a Sideous quote.
"There is a price for power but it is a price no true sith would hesitate to pay"
I couldn't find where I heard it so the quote might be a bit inaccurate.

My mind: "not a perfect sith but a good man"
Wait no that doesn't work.
And the damage they take only further fuels their rage which keeps them going. Thats where vader and sions source of strength come from.
Obi-Wan: If there's one thing we've learned from the Sith is that they are persistent, they will not die.
Sadly true. The only way to end all this is when the Star Wars' galaxy, if not the entire universe, finally decays into nothingness.
Even lopping off their heads isn't a 100% guarantee
"My young Padawan, Sith deal in absolutes. And the tale of Sion is the tale of an absolutely pissed Sith."
That's just weak writing like bringing back an x man from death because we're too lazy to make new characters.
That's an absolute Obi-wan. Only Sith deal in absolutes. Is Obi-wan a Sith now?
Both Darth Sion and Darth Nhihilus are really awesome in their own right. Darth Nhihilus can literally devours planets and has a cool mask while Darth Sion is literally to angry to die and looks really scary.
So badass he didnt even need cybernetics like 99% of all other Sith who live long enough
They are also both deconstructions of Darth Vader.

"If you're about to die, just say no. Death can't legally take you without your consent." -Sion, probably
While Sion had nothing to live for in the end and was in constant pain, at least he retained some sense of self compared to being a hungry force of nature like Nihilus.
That's why Scion is the more interesting character of the 2. Nihilus, while shit tons more powerful in terms of sheer order of magnitude, has practically been rendered a mindless beast who gave completely into a raw, vastly amplified animalistic instinct. Scion, on the other hand, managed to cling to reason & thus still has a personality, instead of just being a raw seven sins made flesh.

Me: *furiously opening and closing the video till I get no adds* No
Has anyone ever tried to sever his head from his body? Or would his body still act on his desires like his head was never separated from it?
That would probably do it...
I mean if he can fuse his bones back together on command I’d imagine he can just fuse his head back on.
Deadpool with Hulk’s anger problems
Do you think a severed head can stop me? Try throwing me into a sun, that would be new... and interesting.
That would probably do a lot to make sure that he stays dead... longer than he usually would. He still needs his body in (mostly) one piece to consider himself alive after all, & losing his head would mean losing the senses he has on his head, inconveniencing him long enough to make sure that he either gets completely destroyed or securely contained. The jedi, however, for most part, would never consider severing heads in combat as an option, partially due to they considering the act unnecessary, & partially because the inherent savagery & brutality of the act would lead them closer to the dark side.
Before I played the game I thought I was going to prefer Nihilus, but Sion got a proper personality, he is more than just a Sith, more than just a mass murderer, more than his eternal pain. He realizes that Traya had manipulated him, he resents it and when ordered to bring the Exile, he does everything in his power to keep her away from suffering a similar fate. Forget Vader, Sion had a redemptive sacrifice worth a damn.
Im just imagining him fighting Durge, two unkillable jedi killers fighting each other for eternity
Darth Sion: finally a worthy opponent our battle will be legendary
reminds me of the attack of the dead men, the russians were literally too angry to die
A man of culture I see
@@KumaoftheForest indeed
@@KumaoftheForest get a room
Unlikely. The primary reason that made that charge at all possible was that chemical weapons had still been a very new method of warfare at that point, to the point of being unknown to the russians exposed to those first attacks. As such, they didn't know they were dying. With most of the pain receptors in their bodies already destroyed, they perceived their slow demise through a confused haze more than anything. Their charge wasn't so much anger-driven as it was mostly just them being addled by a gradual shortage of oxygen due to their lungs being well on the way to dissolving. They probably felt drunk more than anything, barely able to understand much of anything as they slowly succumbed. If they had known they were dying, who knows what they would have done. But since they didn't know, they obediently followed orders before proceeding to die quietly.
@@morrythemorr3800 -🤓
The odd thing about,is that Sion quite possible found peace and by let himself to die, he went to the light side, after all he wasn't trying to kill Meetra, he just didn't want her to face Kreia.
Yeah bc he loved her
He committed die because he loved meetra
When I bought kotor 2 in '06 with my buddy, he LOVED how Nihilous looked on the cover. I thought he looked like an evil Mickey Mouse, so to pester my buddy, I kept calling Nihilous Darth Mickey.
Little did we know
As for Sion and Nihilus - both were original characters - but in the end Nihilus was way more dangerous than Sion - in terms of possible devastation Nihilus was more capable by mere his presence.
Sion is a better Sith he has reasoning and still has a sense of self Nihlus however has neither of those and is therefor a weaker Sith
@@wintertrooper7918 Well i was judging their destructive potential not how well they fitted into sith ideology per say - in the end Kreia said both of them were failures both as sith and her own puppils. And on top of that what it meant to be "Sith" was also not set in stone - their own view on that also changed over time - that is for eg why they stopped making sith artifacts later on - as as for first Sith's - Those were signs of their power - and later on Sith belived the power should come only from themselves - thus they stopped making artifacts.

Yes, but what material would they use for the third game? They kinda used up the best ideas in the duology and, in some ways, The Old Republic.
@@michaelandreipalon359 Well, they still have Meetra Surik's handful of jedi apprentices & the whole wound in the Force thingy to expand upon. Exploring a Force anomaly through the eyes of those taught by the one most affected by said anomaly & the only one to have successfully risen above it, would be an interesting breakaway from the usual light vs dark, Jedi vs Sith dichotomy.

Awesome video! The dark side always seems to have the more interesting lore. Also, you would think after thousands of years, the republic would have super advanced technology, but it seems like everything you see during the prequel’s is the same as it was in the old republic
I think the dark side tends to be more interesting because you really have to justify why someone would go to such extremes for a cause that is presumably and unjustifiably evil and sometimes you have to justify it.
I mean, the Galaxy basically fell apart during the New Sith Wars. All the tech we see in the Prequels is probably the result of a Renaissance in the Republic.
Those games need a remaster. Or for a single player kotor 3...as much as I enjoyed swtor I would have preferred to not have to have an internet connection for it.
Dude, you have no idea how many times I got mad at being booted off the Flashpoint because of an internet disconnect. And right when I was about done.

He hated the idea of treya breaking meetra so with all his fear and anger he tried to stop meetra but he was destined to finally rest by her hands
Why do a get Kratos vibes from this guy? He deserves his own game.
Well Vader did want to learn how to live forever well just have to get really pissed off and just refuse to die tell death that he can just go suck it
There was an amusing 'easter egg'/nod to the gallery from Bioware in Mass Effect. A rather ineffective Turian spectre begins Sheppard's induction into the group but is killed by the primary antagonist almost at once. He is called 'Nihlus'... His face paint is also rather similar to Darth Nihilus' mask.
To some extent the Spectres are the Jedi of Mass Effect, although they do not have magic powers beyond the inherent psionic ability of the individual recruit, nor do they have sword fights with their enemies. They are far more likely to nuke the site from orbit and get on with their day.
Sion: *exists*

We seriously need a Nihilus and Sion movie or Tv show.
Yeah we do, the old sith lords were so interesting, I'd love to hear more about Darth Traya myself.
It seems to me that the old sith Lords were more powerful than the new one's are. I mean Nihilus could force drain entire planets and Sion was unable to be killed. Treya seems pretty awesome too.

Star wars theory idea, Jedi are just as bad for the universe as the sith. Their views push those who can go astray to further stray to the dark side, those who have already fallen, to believe there is no redemption. And to acknowledge that one has fallen is basically a sentence to exile, as there is essentially no hope. Take anakin going to Yoda about the glimpses of the future, Yoda answering about fear leading to the dark side. Had the grand Master consoled the believed chosen one, he would have found a deeper roots, roots that sidious preyed on. The lack of effort, through dedication only to a code, made the jedi not only blind but blissfully unaware of threats of evil, and in so were an oxymoron to their own cause. As peacekeepers, you cannot keep peace without knowledge of evil, therefore the jedi may be more evil then the sith, their enclaves/temples were on republic planets, trusted by governments to aid them. But by withdrawing due to code, or finding exclusion in a duty others outside the order felt responsible for, they themselves were actively denying said peace they tried to keep. The jedi code was taken so literally, so absolute, that it bordered on obsession. Which in and of itself is a passion, to exile due to failings of the code, that is essentially a punishment. And punishments are driven through emotion, the idea of a sith lord, one that came to power through silence and stealth, creates chaos, as they actively began their search, and due to the failings of the jedi teachings, most jedi could not face their own evils, meaning in death, they could only become one with the force, and nothing more. To quote anakin "From my point of view the jedi are evil".
This man was a slave with no father, taken from his mother, only to years later have her die in his arms, then to be told that the future is what it is, emotion isn't ok, and what he's feeling isn't acceptable. He starts seeing his wife dying, fearing the loss of the love of his life following the loss of his only family member, he goes to his trusted friend, the chancellor, who turns his fears into dust by telling him of the power to save life. Now, being told, no you must accept it because that's the way it is, or you do not have to face that type of pain. Which one seems evil to you. The only true force user who could be considered good, would be the one who could sacrifice their teachings for the better of those they serve. Meaning the jedis extreme and the sith extreme both lead to evil, while those who follow a more balanced philosophy like the grey jedi code, would be the only beings capable of true peacekeeping.
Sorry for the long, probably incoherent comment. But this has been on my mind for months. Hoped this community would be the best to recieve it. Geetslys please. If you have any time to do it, it'd be interesting to see if you see this correlation or not.

Sion was stronger, Nihilus let his greed completely overcome him and ultimately leading to his death by the Exile's hand. Sion, on the other hand, at the end of his life realized his mistake in trying to like for nothing but hate, and even that is stretching it. He, with the help of the Exile, managed to finally let go and allow himself to move on where he would have no more pain nor life to be upset with.
How much more interesting is this stuff than the garbage Disney puts out? The idea that you need dumbed down junk to sell is nonsense as well-- Kotor games were high sellers with demand for sequels. LOTR series broke records.
I always preferred Darth Sion over Darth Nihilus personally, and his story is an interesting one. It's a shame that the version of KOTOR II that I have/have had for many years now (the un-modded X-Box version) doesn't have all of the scenes with him, but I always liked him regardless.
