He was on a mission that had nothing to do with you. Beautiful but grizzly creatures
Such an amazing experience, bears generally want nothing to do with us, calmness usually ends in positive experiences like this, love it
Yea full tummy bears 😂
Wow, he knew where he was going. I would have been terrified.
Yea I probably should have been more terrified, but I had 10 folks behind me making noise (“Hey Bear”) and getting their bear spray ready. What’s scary is if he charged, there really isn’t anywhere to go since we were at the peak. It would just be pick a side and cross fingers.
as long as you don't act like prey and run away, or get caught with your back to it, they tend to not want the problems that come with people lol.
This is definitely true. They are actually very curious about humans, and that's usually why they run into people.
Tend is the key word. Don't anyone let bear spray give them false comfort, it's not enough
Oh wow! Scary, yet amazing encounter!!!
They were in his house and were between him and his destination. Bear was just heading to the bath house.
Big bear. Beautiful view.
Beer: _Gee guys, calm down! I'm just heading back to my cave after robbing the grocery store up there_
I guess “hey bear” doesn’t work on bears accustomed to meeting humans anymore.
Yea he could care less about “Hey Bear”.
For a few minutes you were no longer at the top of the food chain. How’d feel?
I’ve been there too (coastal Alaska). An encounter with a large bear is both terrifying and exciting at the same time.
Great way to explain it. Momentarily terrifying, but exhilarating to make it out alive with a story (and some footage)
He made a bee lone for the pool. I cant say I blame him !
Aww, he just wanted someone to pet him, that bear meant no harm 🤗
Bears are scary and super cool.
During our most recent trip in July, a grizzly emerged from the woods, following two hikers. The animal was only concerned about eating. He spent a fair amount of time eating grass by the roadside. That attracted a lot of vehicles and caused a bit of a bear jam:-)
Beautiful landscape
What an amazing experience!!
Obvious the bear had no intentions of encountering you, just following a trail along the ridge.
😅
He just wanted a spa day can you imagine how good that clean water feels on his tough skin and fur
Nice natural glacier water. Can’t blame him.
Smart and just beautiful ❤️
Thank God he went for the water and not the humans.🐻
He can have all the water he wants! Just wanted to cool off in a Glacier
such an amazing creature!!! King of the hill.
Scary moment for sure!
Good thing he wasn't hungry lol God-bless you you are protected
He wanted to go for a swim
That's a Clear Case, of Co Exsisting if You ask Me? Apparently the Grizzly was "Yes" Trailing them in a Wind position too know where they were.
Also it was Minding too it's Own Agenda & Sharing the Trail, they were On. Like it's been Said? so often before? They are Truly a very Intelligent, Smart, and Amazing Animal. Thanks for Sharing.
Great video. Y'all did good heeey 🐻 I love me some GNP🫶
Pretty steady camera
shooting...
Thanks! DJI and a little image stabilization in post.
Summer is so nice. Quickly forgotten when I need snowshoes too go anywhere
Yup, "didn't bother us", YOU should be so blessed to be in the bear's home, habitat and his wild, not yours. You're the bother in that area, no matter how sweet a person you are.
That’s a very narrow way of looking at things. God made creation for man to enjoy.
@@worldupsidedown1 Touché 🤲 Sweetness
Cool you guys, glad came out good , but what an awesome experience.
dunno when this video is from, but i saw a grizzly in that exact same place on 9/7. That part is so steep and the bear is just making cake of it
Shocking that people are so cavalier about a Grissly. Obviously, they know very little about them. If this guy was hungry or hurt he could have gone right for them and nothing would have stopped him. Someone quoted a figure of deaths by bears. U can count on all of them not being counted, the deaths.
Did you get the impression that we sought out an encounter with a grizzly? We happened to be at the summit filming a short vlog about the hike and he showed up. We then had a very peaceful experience, and had a handful of folks ready with bear spray if need be. Your internet indignation is wild. Grizzly bear encounters in Montana happen, and I doubt Grizzly (Big Grizzly?) is suppressing bear attack numbers.
I must be a chicken and not a human, because you couldn't pay me enough to hike in any grizzly country!!!🐥🐤🐥
He was washing up before dinner.
whoa 😮😳🤣...I'd guess you definitely would want to walk with a group of people
Def not a hike to do alone 😂
He a big boi!
My back yard glacier national park
My back yard is a garage and driveway. You win this round 😉
Hotspot for disappearances and Sasquatch as well.
Just gotta give a squatch some beef jerky and they’ll go on their way.
Bears use paths, too, ya know?
They certainly do!
Thats why I carry a G20.
Did you know that in 2021 21000 Americans were killed by gun homicides and only 4 were killed by brown bears?
That is 4 too many.
Allow for open carry in the national park system!
Also in 2021 26000 Americans died by suicide with firearms but I couldn’t find any data on bear related suicide so it doesn’t feel fair to compare.
When we have to deal with an armed bear uprising, hiking is going to be a lot different. I’ll need a lot more than trail mix and a couple gallons of water.
Idiot humans should not go where the bears live! Yeah common solution isn't it let's just shoot anything that might hurt our precious little human ass life
❤️😍❤️😍❤️😍❤️
Fortunate that he already had an agenda that he wasn't going to be deterred from, no matter how hard they tried to catch his attention...lol
I read that Grizzlies don't want human meat I guess if they have nothing else to eat then you will do
I am very confused by people yelling at the bear. At the Glacier National Park ranger program, the ranger said that you should be quiet and do not act aggressive if you encounter a grizzly.???
If they are hungry, bear spray isn’t going to work.
That’s when we’ll switch to negotiating heavily and placing sanctions on bears.
The bears wants only to swim in the stream.
Not just a stream, a Glacier! Lucky for us!
They just wanted to feed him..
They were going to be his meal
Nice of them
You are lucky
Did the bear go down at the overlook to the glacier. I don't know of a way down from that spot
Yea, he went a route I wouldn’t really recommend a human take lol
👍
The bear looked 😠
For gosh sake. Don’t taunt them.
? Who’s taunting them?
Wow
"Bear spray"?! You put your trust in some spray?. As much as I love animals and nature, I'd go to bear territory armed with a gun, not some spray and eye drops, or whatever.
above.nasa.gov/safety/documents/Bear/bearspray_vs_bullets.pdf
Bear spray works better
That's HIS home.
YOU'RE trespassing.
Good grief, humans are part of nature too you know.
@@midwestmatthew9752
He was there first.
@@thisismagacountry1318 Actually the people were there first, the bear was the one who approached them.
Omg!
He wasn't stalking you. He can run 40 mph. He can be on top of you.within 4 seconds. He let y'all live. Don't kid yourself.
I don’t know, he left behind a bear nap sack with a journal full of our addresses and pictures of us eating lunch that appear to be taken from a tree. That’s a stalker if I’ve ever seen one
@@AlexynPhotoVideo cool beans brother. That seems to be a game trail he's following. Just saying. O to 40 in 3.5 seconds. Hope one of you young men need to have a large handgun. At the least. Bear spray first if possible.
Nope just the Garden Wall Trail in Gpacier national park. Can’t actually use a gun in a national park
@@AlexynPhotoVideo yes sir. You and yours be situationally aware and blessed at all times. I'm in TN. So if course we have no brown bears. Pretty often predator black bears. So how beautiful is Creation.
Peace.
DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT GO AROUND DANGEROUS ANIMALS WITH OUT WEAPONS TO BRING THEM DOWN. IF YOU HAVE BEAR SPRAY AND THE WIND IS BLOWING THEN WHAT
You don’t know how Bear spray works I take it? wildlife.org/jwm-in-freezing-cold-or-wind-bear-spray-still-works/
@@AlexynPhotoVideo I will check Info you posted I sure hope so. Hate to see humans killed by wild animals.
And all the armed people would have blasted the bear + either killed it for nothing or escalated the situation
Just using the same path 😁
😬😬😬😬😬
Yeah I carry my back packers 12gage chambered in 3inch ,with 3inch slugs and 000.buck shot for a reason wheb I'm hiking Everywhere, never know. I don't take a chance with shitty spray and noises.
Thats why you always take a gun. Bear spray is a joke
It’s true, we all died
@@AlexynPhotoVideo . Be a smart ass idk, I had a buddy almost died from a grizz attack where bear spray failed luckily he had a gun

Stop hiking in bear country.
So like any national park?
Why!? He's fine!! How's about you worry about you
Grizzly country with no gun.... no thanks!
Show some people being eaten by bears.
You want me to get eaten by a bear for a 30 second RUclips video? Might wanna step away from the internet a moment
Reason #1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and 10 why I carry a 45 acp with me when backpacking
City folk around wildlife. Never a full moment
nice bear..
Just passing by folks ! GV ! ⛰🐻⛰ 🧗🏻♂️
This is so beautiful to see .
