BNSF completed PTC installation on all sections of our rail network that were government-mandated to have PTC installed, and has continued to implement PTC on additional subdivisions beyond that.
Interesting to see how PTC works. I remember on a recent trip, on a UP line in Odgen, they were replacing the old signals with PTC. I found it sad to see, mainly because the old signals are diminishing, fast too. Also, I don't know if you guys at BNSF can answer this, but why were the horn levers replaced with buttons and the levers seen on the GEVO's? I'm an old head, I prefer the levers on the F40's and whatnot.
Good idea all major railroads agreed to use the same equipment and transmission frequencies.
BNSF is the first Class 1 Railroad to have PTC completely ENTIRELY installed on its system. WTG BNSF!!! WE LOVE YOU!
It doesn’t. I’m on a subdivision that doesn’t have ptc. It’s a line that BN owns too
