- It's Christmas time and we happen to live in a town worthy of a Hallmark Christmas movie! Every year they put on a 3 day Christmas festival called "Christmas in Davidson" and this year we signed up to be a part of the celebration!

I’m a tour guide for a historic theater in town. I’m always giving mini tours and encourage them to come for our monthly public tour because we can go for nearly two hours. My house manager gave us tour guides a 6 hour version. It is so much fun!
Love the big bow arch on your house. So cute! Also love that Lex & friends came to play. They sounded great! You guys always impress me with the things that you take on. I told my son if he had a ghost walk in town & had to leave, it sure wouldn’t be me & my husband that filled in for him 😂. I feel nervous just thinking about it. You are both wonderful parents!
Loved the singing, they were so good. The boys playing were a wonderful touch to your tours; it fit right in with your theme. Next year, they need hats like Mike's 😊.

We have an event in our little TN town called "Host of Christmas Past" It has the same feel as Christmas in Davidson. So much fun! Your booth looked wonderful and I know the tours were great. Keep up the great work.

glad you didn’t waste your time and energy building a lamp post. it would have been cute. but that arch was perfect! you really have made Andrew’s business into a booming one! such supportive parents. i’m actually surprised Elijah doesn’t want to get hired and be part of the tours. i think he’d be great at it too! thanks for the update! i was hoping for a video today!!

I read a bunch of comments below some mentioning shingles on their face. I did have shingles on my face, but before the rash appeared, I had a slight fever, and body aches three days before.

Definitely looks Herpetic. If it hurt before it appeared it is possibly Coldsores but it could be shingles. Can you get a pack of valciclovir from your doctor if it happens again (or is recent) Also taking lysine (1000mg) a day can help. Or just eat a pile of nuts!
I would agree...I get the same thing with stress.
L-lysine works wonders. However, it is most effective if you start to take it at the first sign of tingling. I would also recommend 2000-3000mg/3-4 times a day.
Still worth taking even after the eruption. Hope you heal quickly ❤.
Internet doctors. So many things can be confused for shingles: atopic dermatitis, cellulitis, folliculitis, impetigo, oral thrush, on and on. Shingles follows the nerve patterns and usually wraps and doesn’t have a circular pattern.
@cjdflkj agree but still herpetic lesions can occur in many forms so worth thinking about. Cannot track the dermatone until it spreads a little more. Looks like what I had in the past. Though I accept we didn't see it In great detail. It's not am official diagnosis. It's probably out of date information now regardless .... from a happy viewer and p.s. an actual doctor.

That doesn't look like a cold sore to me. Regardless, I hope she consults a medical provider and doesn't use the internet to find a diagnosis, or treatment.

My son and his family went to Dickens Downtown 12-5-23 in Alabama. They got to get an hour tour in the Old Shirley House. Everyone was in period dress and had beautiful stories to tell. I’m suggesting this to y’all in case you are ever in Alabama during December. Thumbs up!

Use Cortaid for your fever blister. Works best when you first feel it coming. Hope this helps.
L-lysine! 4000 mg in the am and 4000 mg in the evening for 3-5 days. If you can take it right when you feel the tingle, it won't even grow!

Hope it's o.k. to suggest maybe try tea tree oil on your cold sore. It has always helped me.
And thanks again for your charming, genuine, interesting and respectful videos.
That’s what I use on mine too! Love it! After I put the tea tree oil on it, I put peppermint oil on it to drive the tea tree oil in, takes care of it in a couple days!
Yikes that’s asking for atopic dermatitis for a good majority of the population.
Stress gives me cold sores too, especially this time of year.

Megan, Your family did a beautiful job with the festival. Off topic, but I wanted to share with you that Agatha Christie was "unschooled". She taught herself to read and write by age 5, and is of course the most famous mystery writer. Her unschooling, like your family's allowed her creativity to flourish. Love your family!!!
Her husband was a professional archaeologist in the Middle East and she was with him during some major discoveries.

Get the amino acid L-Lysine & take on an empty stomach...gone in a few days...they also make lysine ointment for topical use...feel better
I know this will sound crazy but it works. As soon as I feel the first tingle of a fever blister I spray Lysol on a Q-tip and touch it to the fever blister. It stops it so it doesn't get any bigger, and makes it go away faster. I do that every time I think about it, touching the Lysol Q-tip on the fever blister several times during the day. Hope this helps you.

Hi honey I can relate always used to get cold sores when stressed. I use l lysine at the first feeling of a cold sore it helps cut the cycle down !!
