I've heard this is a common issue and that it is likely that you can easily solve this issue in about a minute by doing two things.... First, put a CO2 cartridge into the pistol and pierce it. The Crosman Vigilante Hands down best out of the 3 and the cheapest. Has the better capacity in the clips/mags for 10 pellets, rifled barrel, and more power, if it was metal like the test even better, but still beats them all, overall.
The cheap Vigilante one is both the most powerful and the only one withca rifeled barrel, so is most accurate too. The shells you load are also silly and way more trouble than the 10 round plastic mags.
I like the black one, the CR357. I know it's a cheaper model, but a friend of mine has had one for many years, and it's VERY accurate, and it also has quite a bit of punch to it. Yeah, it's cheaper, but man does it perform well. Really nice gun. I have an old 1985 Crosman 38T revolver, sort of modeled after a 357 I guess. I bought it new and man it's a great pistol, I love that thing. It's all metal except the grips, kind of heavy, and a six shot pellet revolver. I had to reseal it a couple of times, no big deal. It shoots really well, plenty of punch and great accuracy.
@trevorjameson3213 Hi! New reply to an old post in an old video here: I have a Crosman CR357 in my airgun arsenal, and it has been one of my favorites. I've had it for about three years now, and it still shoots and performs absolutely spot on great. Granted, I don't shoot with it every single day, but I'm still impressed at its performance and age. Excellent, excellent C02 pistol for the price. Not sure how much they are now, (I hope they still make and sell the pistol) but I think I paid about $45-$50 for mine at Walmart. It came with two mags, one 10 shot for pellets, one 6 shot for BBs. I also bought another C02 pistol, at the same time, a long with LOTS of various pellets, one box of Crosman Copperhead BBs, and four extra mags for the other pistol I bought that day, which is a Daisy POWERLINE 408. It came with two 8 shot mags. I'll also give this one pretty high praise, for the value and performance. It's advertised at 485 fps, has good basic sights you can adjust to your liking, feels good in the hand when shooting. I've personally never shot one through a chrono, I just like to shoot, don't hunt much at all anymore, I'll possibly kill a doe every now and then, using my Remington 870 shooting rifled slug, and the other animal I sometimes kill and eat, is the common rabbit. Those, I use my airguns to take. I've killed probably 6 or 7, with the Crosman CR357 pistol, using the Crosman Destroyer 7.4 grain hollow point pellets. Very effective on rabbits with good clean headshot at 15-30 yards or so. As for the Daisy POWERLINE 408, one thing about it should be monitored closely as the gun gets used, is the barrel's break pivot point. It's got a pressed in roll pin, and it can and does wear over time, which obviously affects consistency. Keeping it oiled, is about the best thing you can do for it. Expect to replace the pin a couple or more, during the life of the pistol, depending on how much you shoot it. My Crosman CR357 has a much, much more resilient and better build/design on the barrel break pivot point, and I can tell while shooting. Each gun is fun to shoot, but the CR357 is hands down lights out, the better gun of the two. It's rated at 465 fps BBs, and 435 fps pellets. Obviously the ratings are pretty much close estimates at best, but I can guarantee the Crosman CR357 hits harder and shoots better than the Daisy POWERLINE 408. And wow...I just looked on eBay, and saw a brand new in the unopened box, and saw a CR357 at $144! Makes my old one a really super value now! Have fun shooting everyone!

The snub nose is obviously less accurate because it has a smaller barrel. The longer the barrel, the more accurate. Just something you might have wanted to mention. I'm sure you already knew that though you seem pretty aware. Great vid!
The big one isn't marketed for pellets because it's powerful enough with that long barrel to put a pellet a few inches into someone skin or face, could be a weapon basically so they only sell it with the BB shells (although even the snr could put a pellet into someone face honestly)

there are cleaning kits available for airguns..but they can be hard to find and cleaning rods in stores are invariably no smaller diameter than for .22 caliber. An option is to cut a length out of the straight portion of a cheap wire clothing hangar and make sure the ends are perfectly straight no burrs: I have found that to work well as cleaning rods for .177 caliber air guns. Several airgun manufacturers also sell .177 or .22 cal. felt 'cleaning pellets' (they look about like erasers on pencils except white): after making sure the airgun is clear and safe: run a cleaning pellet through the bore with a rod; follow it up with another lightly oiled cleaning pellet; and the bore is cleaned and oiled for storage.

Can you attach the daisy reddot to the snr357?
The barrel is steel on the cr.... not sure on the other 2 but I assume they are as well

Had the 357 revolver in mid 80s awesome gun.now I'm not sure if there any better they were made in u.s.a.
You know they were better by a long shot, Chinese mfgr is pathetic at best, and that applies to Gretch Boxcar Guitars too.

1:30 "this is a nice pistol"
Said it at 0:34 too, but alright
They're all nice revolvers (which are pistols).
solid review
Can they be used without a co2 cartridge?
no, co2 is required. thanks for watching
Which one is good for self defense?
none of them are good for self defense. these are really just for target and plinking. thanks for watching man
Wow guns went up in price! 130 for sr357 and 80 for snr version
What revolvers are these based on, if any?
Are these smooth bore or rifled?
Hey, I want to buy the small one...Can you ship it here in the Philippines? Im willing to pay for sll your costs..Thanks!
is the cr357 better than the snr357??
that 4 inch barrel ishard to hit with, and same applies to the real thing, they call the snub nose a belly buster, close up or not at all.
how much is it?
Umm the snr has a 2 inch barrel... it’s not gonna be accurate
Why don't
Anyone show the tip of the barrel. People want to know if it looks real or fake. I don't want me or mom having one that looks fake. And I don't want a real one because of rhe dangers.
The snr 357 shoots way more then 250 300 fps get a crono before you claim fps . Just saying becaus i have one and its way more then 3oo , and you can do a mod to get even more if you know what to do . Love my snr accurate and duel amo what more do you want
hey man thanks for watching, sorry ya i must have mis spoke. i did a full review on snr357 and i think its around 350 fps
Yeah the crossman snr357 claims 495fps with the proper pellet in the gun. Im sure it can hit the 500's i have the snr by crossman. Damn thing lays pellets into trees like nothing.
Just leathal.
how many shots do you get per co2 cartridge?
21 is best but by 30 you should change it
Haiiiiii yo yo Vigilante to big,SR too big,SNR just right and there’s a gun that people for some reason don’t like Crosman/Colt Fortify fits 20 BBs,accurate to my liking, you can go smaller,PFM16,Night Stalker,Glock19 NBB
So this guys brave enough to shoot something not marketed in an 80 dollar pistol
Prize please,in India from where I got this
link in description
how much
sr357
i got the vigilante ,i honed both ends of barrel then push the barrel tighter to the rotor ,then you pull on the barrel clip to keep the barrel in place ,all the co2 pushes the pellet now and by crowning the muzzle i improved the accuracy ! awesome gun now ,more power than my sig p320 air pistol ! .when you are hunting ,keep on your side to quick kill the critttttter if you need too ,it really goes well with my break barrel , plan on hoggggg hunting with my gamo this year !
nice man!
you betcha lol !!!
I have two CR357 can you post a video on the mods you made to increase the velocity? What velocities were you getting after the mods? What Gamo rifle are you or have you hunt hogs? Sorry for all the questions.
my great rattle snake gun on walks-- there are more rattlers in Nebraska than people-- we call then crawling land mines-- bb accurate enough to hit the head at 15 feet--
I want to buy in India where I can get
What pistol (be it in this video or just in general) would be best for pest control/hunting small animals? I’ve been looking all over, each website gives me different answers and the reviews all say they will not kill. Please help!
If it would be easier, maybe what’s best for self defense? What would hurt the most, is essentially the question.
Out of all pistols, not just these three please.
pest control? check out my video on the crosman 1322:
ruclips.net/video/rKv5TycZFho/видео.html
ppdangler Thanks for such a swift reply! Anything that looks realistic-ish though? Just for preference purposes haha, I’d just feel all-around cooler lmao
ppdangler More hunting than pest control, I suppose. But still maintain the realistic aspect?
Will this actually hurt enough to incapacitate or make a burglar run away?
no, but thanks for watching!!
