I wouldnt condsider the touch-ups mistakes; I like when I see you do them because for me I'm like wow! Just gives ideas and inspiration on how to master my artwork.
Every time! No matter your mistakes (if I would even call them that ) you Olga are a Master!
Perfection is overrated! I love all the little details that come from correcting things. Or from adding swirls, splatters, scrapes and touch-ups.

Just wanted to tell you that I'm having the three prints from my donation professionally printed to frame for my twelve year old niece's birthday. She's one of the most generous kids I've ever met (her wish last year for her birthday was donations to the animal shelter) so I will be encouraging her love of beauty and her kindness. I couldn't think of a better place to hang the prints than her bedroom.

Wow Olga it’s gorgeous. I love these paintings you’re doing at the moment (the earth series). I really want to try this technique but I’m still scared to give it a go. I need to just bite the bullet I think and go for it. I’m always so hard on myself though and that usually stops me from giving things a go. 🤷🏼♀️
I'm also hard on myself. The trick is to use it as a stimulus for growth, but not as a stopping factor. Also, the most beautiful and exiting things happened to me when I went for what I was scared of💖😊
Katy this was a big artistic block for me as well. I was finally really able to enjoy pouring when I began to look at it as a discovery - I.e. “I wonder what will happen?” - instead of going in with too many set expectations. I found that changing my mindset meant much less pressure on me to get a certain outcome, allowing me to just have fun, and almost treat the paint as a partner in the creative process.

Wow thanks Olga and snowpuppies for your comment/advice. It’s weird. When I first started on this pouring adventure I was a lot more curious and brave and just went for it. But now it’s like I’ve been doing it for a few years now so I have these expectations I put on myself and therefore am so much more critical. 🤦♀️🤷🏼♀️
@@katysimcock2299 we are our own worst critics 😐 I did a moon pour after watching Olga’s videos and I love it! I think it’s almost my favourite painting I’ve done so far! Just go for it, it’s only paint, if you don’t like it you can scrape it.. but you might also love it 😁

Great minds! I couldn't get giant cookie cutters, so looked through my art stuff! Idea embroidery hoop! I wanted to use mine again so I painted it with 2 layers of pva glue. It actually kept it a little tacky to stay in place & I was able to let the acrylic dry & peel off! Bit fiddly but worked. Lol! Love this!

I only wanted to do a ring type painting this once ( wasn't a moon) but, was inspired by olga on how to get a perfect circle & wanted to re-use my hoop for my embroidery. Guess for something more permanent you could always varnish it as its wood? ( I thought of that afterwards😁) Happy creating!
@@mumo9413 You can take a light cardboard, (or polyphane that makes up the lampshades) form a circle with it and staple it to close the circle... I do this for some lids and round boxes...
To give cookies to my loved ones :)
The height of the cardboard is about 8 cm (~3.5") on which I give a layer of acrylic to stiffen the edge...
To obtain a well rounded circle, it is important to pre-bend the two ends and not hesitating to make a long overlap of the latter... And to stiffen the circle, you can add a wooden cross with Japanese chopsticks :)

I’m finally attempting this pour, so I’ve come back and watched this one at least 5 times! I love everything about it, and most especially when you dropped the ring and had to fix it! It relieves so much stress to see someone mess up and how easy it is to fix (usually). Loving this series, 2 months later!

Off of that, when you hit a tipping point, with the accidental movement of the new rings, I liked so much that you took it I stride, stayed "yourself" and showed us how to cope with it all.
