    It's mounted, thank you very much. And not only for the center stands, but also for the drop frames, side racks, plate and handles. Just perfect work, guys. Thanks again! Thanks to you, my machine is just the way as I need it.

    Nice design and a bit different from my sw motech. Wish you had had this out when I needed it.

    A good general overview but it needs an update. The hardware currently supplied isn't exactly the same as in the video which causes some confusion due to lengths and colors being different. The tall spacers for the left hand bracket fit 10mm, but the bolts they fit on are 8mm. They work but they're sloppy. The stand I received was about 3mm too wide at the pivot points to fit between the brackets, so the instruction to tighten both brackets prior to installation wasn't a good idea. I had to loosen the right bracket mounting bolts to fit the stand, then I retightened them. The outward facing spring hooks are a definite pant leg catcher, so I added a short length of rubber hose to cover the spring and hooks.
    The stated weight on the website is 6 pounds. The stand I received, including all hardware, is 7.5 lbs.
    On a positive note, the stand is well built and it works great.

    As previous comments supplied with incorrect bolts for fixing brackets and stand. Had to go and source . Video on install is good but shows different bolts being used. OEM bolts are not suitable for re use on r\h bracket at footbrake side

    Will it still work without having to apply too much force when the bike is lowered by 2 cm?

      Thanks for asking. Unfortunately we don't have any experience using our centre stand with lowered a Tenere 700.

    I just bought this on your site, do you need a paddock stand to install this?

      Not a requirement, but definitely helpful.

      I ended up using a car jack to keep it up right for a second to remove and install the left side bracket! Worked just fine! Thanks!

    The M-10 bolts I received with my center stand are not all-thread bolts as seen at 4:14 in the video. As a result, they will not go through the OEM bolt holes as shown in the video. Did I receive the incorrect bolts or has there been an update to the installation video/procedure that I am unaware?
    As an update, Outback Mototech West did replace the bolts with the proper bolts. Thank you!

    Looks to me like when you put the bike on your centre stand, the foot bar touches the ground, this is not a good thing as on rough surfaces it will date the underside powder coat and when you want to raise the front wheel by pushing down on the rear, the foot bar will prevent this and further damage the underside. Is this correct, or is there a a gap.

    • @Outbackmotortek
      @Outbackmotortek  2 года назад

      It’s correct. All centre stands show sign of wear eventually due to the purpose of the item.

      @@Outbackmotortek I’m talking about the underside of the piece you stand on to get the bike on the stand. It looks like its touching the ground. Look at the OEM Yamaha centre stand, that part never touches the ground, even when you tilt the bike back to lift the front wheel oof the ground.

    At 8.34 you indicate to te-use the bolts. But the originals are too short to use with the bracket. Suggestions? Also one of the washers on the center stand did not fit, had to use a file extensively to fit it.

    • @Outbackmotortek
      @Outbackmotortek  2 года назад

      Obviously they're not short because we show at 9:03 that they poke through the hole with some thread left exposed.

      Interesting, I’m having the same issues with the R) lower bolt and the one in the video is not the same design as my stock one. One of the spacer inserts also does not fit.
