Very informative thank you. My mechanic told me I will need to change my carb, but I think now I will order a rebuild kit from Aliexpress first and try to rebuild like you have shown. Will save so much money and pain in the ***. Thanks.

Hello, rebuild kit from Aliexpress is not good, poor quality, don't fit to the carb. You can buy original parts at a Suzuki dealer, or a good quality aftermarket kit, for example Tourmax. Have a good luck, and thank you for watching!

@@latzkoworks So this is what's wrong with my carb. After I had some seal work done in the cylinder head, suddenly the bike has weak acceleration in the low revs of first gear. Rest of the gears are fine. But I have to give it extra oomph now in first. And after riding for 10 minutes, it starts backfiring. Mechanic cleaned the carbs and checked everything, but says the carbs are shot. It's a 1997 GS500e. The thing is, the bike was working perfectly fine before he changed the cylinder head gasket.
Mechanic tells me I have to change the carbs. But you've given me hope; I'll try and rebuilding it myself and see if that fixes it.

Hi i have the same engine, the carburettor fuel feed... is it both pipes? Or do you run 1 pipe into the top part of the carb? & the bottom hose is a over flow pipe? Then the little small hose think that goes onto the fuel switch?

    • @latzkoworks

Szia! Előre is köszönöm! 🙏

Szia, általában 2 dolog szokott lenni: 1. kevés szelephézag 2. kevés benzin alacsony gázállásnál / részterhelésen. Én ezt a két dolgot nézném meg első körben.

@latzkoworks I've disassembled the carbs fully, cleaning the carb base with a wire brush, and same for all of the needle pins, and jets, after soaking them thoroughly. referring to the service manual I found what would appear to show it leading to the last line on the petcock as a vacuum/return line, but not anywhere else. When I close off/ or leave that line unattached fuel doesn't seem to enter the float bowls. I've accidently closed that line entirely once and the carbs didn't fill at all, and even after a well clean I have yet to get that line to not leak or cause issues. Also if it doesn't connect to the petcock, at the rear most port, what does connect there?
