    Oh this makes me miss my father so much. We took our first trip to WDW in 91 when I was just 15. We must’ve watched this a thousand times while we were staying at the Caribbean Beach.

    I woke up to this loop when we were staying onsite in 1991. Like it was yesterday. My parents would wake us up to this loop. Love it.

      I remember this as well. That's why I put all of these online. Great memories for everyone who visited during these times!

    My wife and I spent our honeymoon at the Grand Floridian and Caribbean Beach Resorts in June of 1991. This brings back such wonderful memories for me. I can't thank you enough for posting it here!

    I remember waking up to this vid loop in the disney resorts when I was a kid... the music is so nostalgic. I remember every bit of this 1991 loop. Thank you 😊

      +Joseph Smith You are very welcome, and you’re right, it is very nostalgic.

    I never thought I'd find it, but... here is the complete music listing for the WDW Today Channel circa 1991:
    "Weather Station II" by Richard Bono and Doug Wood
    "Robots" by Howard Fredrics (You gotta love how the second time we hear it, the title "Welcome to the Walt Disney World Resort" comes up RIGHT on that first orch-hit!)
    "Information Age II" by Brian Morris
    and "Island Industry" by Brian Morris
    All these cuts are part of Omnimusic's 1988 release "Living in the Future." You might remember some of their music being played in Wonders of Life (only that was "Biomass," "Hide and Seek" and "Leapfrog") and some of their music also was played on many Disney World promotional videos of the 80s. It shocked me that I just found the ones listed above today, I'll tell you that.

      +ResortTV1 wonder what they're gonna do with Walt's plane.

    • @ResortTV1
      @ResortTV1  8 лет назад

      It will probably go to a museum somewhere, or they will find another place for it at WDW.

    • @JeevesReturns
      @JeevesReturns 8 лет назад

      +ResortTV1 that's the thing... I'm pretty sure that it won't be given the respect that it deserves. It seemed to have been almost "dumped" in the backlot attraction as was, and I doubt that it'll be given a place of honor elsewhere. Sad as it's such an amazing connection to Walt himself. I'd rather have a chance to see that than air force one!

    I am at Disney today shooting more video, but I'll be sure to add some Disney Cruise Line Stuff when I get home tonight. I have lots of Cruise Line stuff. :-)

      jnnelson79 Would you happen to have the DVC channel from a year later, with the tagline "Just imagine"?

    • @ResortTV1
      @ResortTV1  9 лет назад

      I will look. Do you know exactly what year that would have been? Are you talking about the year after this video, 1992?

    • @JoshFreilich
      @JoshFreilich 9 лет назад

      Yep, 1992 it is. The one with a more upbeat and loud editing style than all the other DVC ones (the others are nice and laidback). The one that starts "we've made a mouse into a movie star, we've turned orange groves into the world's favorite playground, now Just Imagine what Disney has done with vacation ownership!"

    • @ResortTV1
      @ResortTV1  9 лет назад

      Wow! That sounds like a great one. Unfortunately, I've never seen that one before, and I don't have it. These 1991-2001 Resort TV Loops were given to me by a friend who recorded them on VHS when he visited WDW. I didn't start recording Resort TV until the 2000's. If I find it, I'll definitely post it!

    I absolutely love the Disney Parks and I go at least once a year and there is no other parks I would spend my theme park dollars at!

    Ah, Pleasure Island. I never went there, but I remember all the promos for it back in the day. I think they ought to turn that whole area into a Guardians of The Galaxy themed land, re-theme the bars, and keep the adult feel Pleasure Island seemed to have had.

    • @ResortTV1
      @ResortTV1  8 лет назад +1

      +Douglas Booth That would have been amazing! But, Disney Springs is shaping up very nicely overall. It has a very upscale feel to it now, and I think it definitely helps Disney distinguish itself from Universal.

    Disney Village when it was still called Disney Village.
    I miss those days lol

      Fury283 Me too. It's fun to watch old footage of Disney Village especially. It was such a classy place.

    • @Fury283
      @Fury283 9 лет назад

      Yep, even though it was really small.
      Now it's almost a park in itself.

    • @ResortTV1
      @ResortTV1  9 лет назад +1

      Fury283 It will definitely be as large as a park when they finish transforming it into Disney Springs. Check out my newest video for a construction update.

    Hey... any idea where the video with the early information channel is? (with the black background and 80's-90's music, it was filmed in 1991 because it mentioned Beauty and the Beast, and WDW's 20th Anniversary)

  • @EDP2000

    Does Walt Disney World still have an info channel, or did they get rid of it?

    • @ResortTV1

      They still have it. I have the most current version on my channel. It's called Must Do Disney.

      jnnelson79 thanks for letting me know, so I've subscribed to your channel! You seem to have a lot of rare videos of this type. I've added a lot of them to my favourites. I'd be particularly interested to see more from Disney Cruise Line if you have any. Also I wonder how your "direct capture" works!
