I think everyone is wrong and both sides are fucking up and hence neither one is about to lose, because they are both in a critical condition in Volchansk.
Yet it is better to screw up with 10k soldiers you can replace rather easily (albeit still painful since we are talking about human beings) than with 30k which you cannot replace with similar quality troops if you can replace at all...
I can only assume the amounts of deaths and injured must be insane on both sides.

I have been away fr both this channel and Military summery. I think the main takeaway is that the russians continue to push with small advances. Any 'breakthrough' has to be seen in that context. So, no MAJOR advances. For the West this means NO COLLAPSE and the ukrainians ARE holding out w support of their weapons. Now, one might argue that is a strategical/ tactical approach by the russians but that is somewhat after the fact reasoning. Some, including McGregor and the Duran were talking about the COLLAPSE of the ukrainian army. If that was the case we would see the front moving much faster i would think.
This has turned me somewhat sceptical towards any future prospects. Wake me up when the russians are actually east of Kharkov instead of an endless stream of small fields taken by...
Attacking fast means to stretch your support lines and leave secure positions. Why should the Russians do that? In Vorchanks the Ukranians has to go across the river, not the russians. So the Russians control the path the Ukranians can go. The russians are the one, who are limited from support. So why do they have to go further, when many brigades were send to Charkiv?

The objective of the Russian forces in Vovchansk is to deplete the enemy's troops, not to be depleted themselves. If they can't hold the position, they should retreat as much as possible, creating space for bombardment. This strategy aims to force Ukraine to expend a significant amount of troops in Vovchansk, thereby weakening Ukraine's combat power on the eastern front.

Situations described in Vovchansk, totally different from reality, in videos from Russian sources, which I consider much more reliable, given that they are literally annihilating the enemy, the conquered territory is unchanged, and the territory in Ukrainian hands, much reduced, is literally hit with FAB 3000. This is the weapon that terrorizes the Ukrainian troops, who find themselves powerless to such destruction.

The battle for volkansk can go on as long as the russians need it to keep there a large number of ukrainian troops. The russians have good defensive positions a river to protect them and bombs and artillery in very large quantities. The lesson of august 2023 has not been learnt by the ukrainians....

Using tanks and IFVs
then the Ukrainians only discovered the vehicles after they deployed the infantry.
Then the Ukrainians begun to strike them with FPV drones what they also uploaded but it doesn't show they destroyed any of the participants not the tanks or the IFVs
They only damaged them.
So my question Is HOW THE RUSSIANS BROUGHT
2 TANKS AND 3 IFV that close to the aggrigate plant?
I was wondering the same but it was about two UA tanks in Avdiivka who came few hundred meters from Spetsnaz infantry, fired a shot and safely backed away.

vovchansk is bakhmut2.0. the war seems to continue to the last ukrainian. 750 000 KIA ukrainians and 150 000 KIA russians so far. is that halfway? the war ends when 1 500 000 KIA ukrainians and 300 000 KIA russians?

I think you need to take a new look at the map if you haven't identifised any differences from 3 months ago.. Sure, if you expected Kiev to be under Russian control the changes might seem small, but noone predicted that. When you look at how many strongholds are being taken now the map has for sure changed.

I say whatever google maps says except for Kiev, why Kiev specifically? Because they switched the spelling of the city BECAUSE of the war, I don't take sides and therefore I believe the impartial thing is to go for the pre-war naming.

The West will take time but it will inflict greater and greater casualties or provoke Russia enough for it to attack Poland or Romania. Then the West will declare Russia a pariah and mobilise.
