  • During a visit to Córdoba in Spain, I happen to find a small 0-4-0 locomotive tucked away in a park. It made me curious to find out why, and I uncovered an interesting industrial history of this locomotive and of Córdoba. Learn about the interesting life of this French built, "Locomotora Anjubault (1864)" of Córdoba.

Here’s hoping she gets fixed up again.
All around my region (Moselle, France) you have the remnants of the old mine railways. Nearly each town asked for one after mines closed and at first the retired miners maintained the wee diesel electrics.
But so many of them have passed in or become infirm.
There’s one in the grounds at a nursing home in Carling and I have my eye on it to at least repaint.

Thats interesting! This is the first one like this I saw in France, but I’ve seen loads of old steam locos on plinths in Poland and the Baltic States.
