Ideas for more ways to get mega energy: catch a Pokémon that can mega (any evolution), research, research boxes, buying them with poke coins, placing a Pokémon that can mega (any evolution) in a gym (like how you would get pokecoins), walking with them, transferring them, increase friendship level with them, add more elemental lures and every time you spin them you have a chance to get energy If you have more ideas place them in the reply section

Some task by which we should be able to mega evolve are : 1. Using certain amount of candy (25) 2. Getting some quest done with the Pokémon 3. Making one type of mega energy which can be used on every single Pokémon 4. Mega energy from every type of raid 5. Making mega evolution possible after certain buddy level(2) 6. Overall make it easier to obtain
I’m okay with the 4-hour limit. But having to win extremely hard multiple raids, that require teammates, in order to earn energy points so as to mega evolve at least one Pokémon? I hate this implementation.
Honestly I only have one complaint about mega energy, it is very challenging for people that don’t have the best Pokémon, like me,or don’t have many friends that play the game or just in the general area (these mega raids are five star I can’t do that 😞). Overall, I think it’s just too hard to get mega energy for your desired Pokémon.
I would like it if instead of having to defeat Mega Raid Bosses to get energy, you would have to bond with your Pokémon and get a Mega Stone, like in the real anime.

i would've loved it if the buddy system was implemented with the mega system like once the buddy becomes ultra buddy he could bring the mega stone and you can only use that stone with the one pokemon which brought the stone to you the mega enery feature just feels paid to win and its not cool that niantic is doing this to the most anticipated feature to come to the game
I had a pretty alright idea that Niantic should use. So hear me out, considering that mega pokemon are supposed to be all about building a bond between a pokemon and it's trainer I think it should be more intertwined with the buddy system. So for every action that you perform with you're buddy you get 1 heart and maybe if you are performing that buddy action with a pokemon that is part of a mega evolution family then you should get 5 mega energy of that specific family for every heart earned(action performed). In doing so this would allow people to earn 50 candies per buddy per day and you can still swap 20 times! With this feature in game it would allow people to earn 50-55 mega energy per buddy if you perform all tasks including the bonus. I feel that this much is a fair amount because getting all 10 hearts with you're buddy in one day does require quite a bit of dedication and I feel that the mega energy would be a huge incentive for people to want to utilize the buddy system more. I feel that this implementation would really encourage players to utilize the buddy system on a daily basis and want to take the most advantage of it (especially if you are a free to play player who doesn't want to spend money). In doing this it would make the whole mega evolution system so much more player/lore friendly. Just one other thing I wanted to add to take the system a step further is maybe depending on the level of friendship you have with you're buddy you will get different levels of reduction in mega evolution costs kind of like how stardust cost reductions are implented in trading with higher level friends. @@MrNelly316 In the files the cost was supposed to go down if you had a higher buddy level i believe, but i think they will add a passive way of getting mega energy, since beedrill can't earn anymore energy than you get from the quest there must be a way to get beedrill energy in the future, and I believe due to ehat people have been saying Niantic will need to add a way to get mega energy outside of raids.
Things i like about mega pokemon: - they add a new fuction to the game - they are a step in gen 6 which I'm happy about. I hope they ad mega stones to replace mega energy or at least give a massive reduction and make it so if it’s ur buddy u get a slight boost as mega evolution has to do with the trainers bond with the Pokémon. I started playing this game on saturday well came back to the game with a new account and everything and i got a shiny charizard already since it was community day.
You can earn Mega Energy by defeating a Mega-Evolved Pokémon in a Raid Battle or completing specific research tasks. You can also occasionally earn Mega Energy by walking with your Buddy Pokémon if you have previously Mega Evolved a Pokémon in your Buddy Pokémon's Evolutionary line.
Problem: Mega evolution is cool but they being temporary is the sad side. I see most of the people are not happy because the mega evolution is temporary (4 hours), and mega energy can only be earned doing raids. Solution (In my Opinion): If game takes any of the solution points , it can make a difference 1) Decrease the cost of remote raids, or even provide some free remote raid pass every week , or something like that, 2) Decrease the mega energy required for mega evolution, 3) Enable ways to earn mega energy other than raids,( Just an idea : If a buddy Pokémon could mine its mega energy with some rate per day , it would be great)
I believe there should be more (free) ways to accumulate mega energy. -BEST BUDDY interactions and battles make so much sense and niantic missed this big time. -Mega Energy daily quests or pokestop quests -Make mega energy universal, not Pokémon specific or create a “Rare mega energy” -Decrease the cost even further after initial mega evolve or make it free with perhaps a cooldown.. -Increase duration for mega, or make permanent while equipped as your best buddy. Idk, it’s just so easy to think of so many ways to improve how the mega system functions in the game.. just some quick constructive criticism from my end.

Mega pokemon should stay megas when mega evolved Mega energy should be optainable without doing raids And the limit of the energy should be infinite like stardust or candies so not capped at 999 And maybe be able to have more than 1 mega at a time but its seems reasonable just a personal preference

I think that you should be able to earn mega stones as a rare drop from raids to give a pokemon a mega evolution, then every time you use it you are going to get a 24 hour cooldown before you could mega evolve it again. (It would be free to evolve when you have used a mega stone on your pokemon)
1:30 the change that I would make to mega Pokémon is if you mega evolve it 5 times then you keep if forever For example First evolution: 200 energy 2: 100 3: 75 4: 50 5: you keep it forever but for 100
The way I would’ve made Mega Evolution better is by gaining Mega Energy through our buddy Pokemon as the point too even Mega Evolve your Pokemon within the lore of Pokemon is too have a deep bond with your Pokemon so too get that aspect I can see gaining Mega Energy from our buddy similar too how we get our buddy too best buddies, this would also allow us too give a reason too swap back too Pokemon we already have best buddies more often as I say too unlock the capability too gain Mega Energy is by first making your Pokemon reach best buddies and once that has been reached a new separate page or the current page would turn into Mega Energy gaining page will be available. I personally would still keep Mega Raids but I would’ve added the buddy feature one I just explained at the same time so it gives something too the free too play players a chance to do more affectively. I would’ve seen Mega Raids the more plentiful way too gain energy but too access more often yes you need too pay for passes while the buddy one as the more harder and grinding way too get energy but it’s accessible too all players without spending
I agree on getting more ways to get the mega energy. Like when walking certain distance with your buddy , it should get mega energy. Or when u spin some pokestops ( I mean some not all) we should get a little for the buddy we have right now. Some ways like that
They should give energy for every battle won with that Pokémon or just scrap the mega energy thing, then during the battle the mega gauge will fill then we can mega evolve during the battle itself. That's better
I think there should be ways to earn mega energy other than the raids. Maybe you walk to get some. Also I think that you should have mega pokemon forever, and have an unlimited number of mega pokemon too. Maybe even a way to turn it back into its non mega variant if that happens.
I would make a thing where for the first mega evolution, then you could trad win like 100 candies, or 50 just so you don’t have to do 5 mega raids to get the candy.

I would love if you collected a certain amount of mega energy that when u evolve them they’d stay like that instead of there being a timer, I love how some of the designs look so it makes me sad when it disappears :( But i do LOVE the fact that you can collect up to 999 of the mega stones and make your Pokémon stronger. It can prove to be useful in raids if you need that extra combat power really quick or gym battles as well.

Problem: Mega evolution is cool but they being temporary is the sad side. I see most of the people are not happy because the mega evolution is temporary (4 hours), and mega energy can only be earned doing raids.
Solution (In my Opinion): If game takes any of the solution points , it can make a difference
1) Decrease the cost of remote raids, or even provide some free remote raid pass every week , or something like that,
2) Decrease the mega energy required for mega evolution,
3) Enable ways to earn mega energy other than raids,( Just an idea : If a buddy Pokémon could mine its mega energy with some rate per day , it would be great)
I definitely think that your Pokemon that can mega evolve should be able to receive mega energy from walking as your buddy

I believe there should be more (free) ways to accumulate mega energy.
-BEST BUDDY interactions and battles make so much sense and niantic missed this big time.
-Mega Energy daily quests or pokestop quests
-Make mega energy universal, not Pokémon specific or create a “Rare mega energy”
-Decrease the cost even further after initial mega evolve or make it free with perhaps a cooldown..
-Increase duration for mega, or make permanent while equipped as your best buddy.
Idk, it’s just so easy to think of so many ways to improve how the mega system functions in the game.. just some quick constructive criticism from my end.

Mega pokemon should stay megas when mega evolved
Mega energy should be optainable without doing raids
And the limit of the energy should be infinite like stardust or candies so not capped at 999
And maybe be able to have more than 1 mega at a time but its seems reasonable just a personal preference
I agree with everthing but the megas should stay mega.megas in pokemon go last longer than they should,it's ment to last 1 battle and the only exception is rayquaza who last slightly longer as he mega evolves using a giant mega stone.

I think that you should be able to earn mega stones as a rare drop from raids to give a pokemon a mega evolution, then every time you use it you are going to get a 24 hour cooldown before you could mega evolve it again. (It would be free to evolve when you have used a mega stone on your pokemon)

The way I would’ve made Mega Evolution better is by gaining Mega Energy through our buddy Pokemon as the point too even Mega Evolve your Pokemon within the lore of Pokemon is too have a deep bond with your Pokemon so too get that aspect I can see gaining Mega Energy from our buddy similar too how we get our buddy too best buddies, this would also allow us too give a reason too swap back too Pokemon we already have best buddies more often as I say too unlock the capability too gain Mega Energy is by first making your Pokemon reach best buddies and once that has been reached a new separate page or the current page would turn into Mega Energy gaining page will be available. I personally would still keep Mega Raids but I would’ve added the buddy feature one I just explained at the same time so it gives something too the free too play players a chance to do more affectively. I would’ve seen Mega Raids the more plentiful way too gain energy but too access more often yes you need too pay for passes while the buddy one as the more harder and grinding way too get energy but it’s accessible too all players without spending

They should give energy for every battle won with that Pokémon or just scrap the mega energy thing, then during the battle the mega gauge will fill then we can mega evolve during the battle itself. That's better
I think there should be ways to earn mega energy other than the raids. Maybe you walk to get some. Also I think that you should have mega pokemon forever, and have an unlimited number of mega pokemon too. Maybe even a way to turn it back into its non mega variant if that happens.

I would make a thing where for the first mega evolution, then you could trad win like 100 candies, or 50 just so you don’t have to do 5 mega raids to get the candy.

I would love if you collected a certain amount of mega energy that when u evolve them they’d stay like that instead of there being a timer, I love how some of the designs look so it makes me sad when it disappears :(
But i do LOVE the fact that you can collect up to 999 of the mega stones and make your Pokémon stronger. It can prove to be useful in raids if you need that extra combat power really quick or gym battles as well.

I think another way to get mega energy should be if your buddy can be mega evolved once they become best buddies you can get 5 energy for say 5 km like candys
I would change the mega evaluations by when you mega evolve it can stay like that forever until you decide to or if it faints.
Maybe through mega stones that you get by spinning pokestops and raiding? Like 0.5% chance?
