About the myth where ditto can/can't predict the raid boss's CP: I understand how ditto works well, after using it often as a joke during raids and gym battles. The way ditto works in Pokemon Go is that when it tranforms, it keeps it's LEVEL and HP STAT. So, a level 20 ditto would transform into a level 20 Ho-oh, if you were to fight it, for example. Because of this feature, if you go into a raid with a level 20 ditto (or level 25, if the boss is weather-boosted) then you CAN actually get an accurate representation of one of the potential cps... However, from what I understand, the ditto would have to be a hundo to get the hundo CP after transformation occurs; and this doesn't mean it corrolates with the Bosses catch CP, since the boss is not necessarily the hundo. Hope this helps anyone who reads this!
Ok, my question is, if you use a hundo ditto in raids, will its CP always be the same (except for weather boost) or will it change at all based on the raid boss's IVs? If it changes, then you could still tell if a raid boss has good or bad IVs before the encounter, and a chart could be created to map the ditto's CP to the boss's CP. That's a lot of work just to predict something you'll see when the raid ends, BUT if it does work, you could in theory join a raid and then leave if your Ditto's CP is very low, then try again.
Normally I would say that the boss's IVs aren't set until the catch screen, but I know that at the end of the raid you can watch the boss's CP tick down to the actual catch CP. That means at some point before the encounter, the IVs are already set. Is that at the beginning of the raid, or only after beating the boss?
I didn't tested it, but I guess, that it's correct. You just get the Ditto transforming into the faced Pokémon (here a Raid boss), but with the ditto level and IVs. Meaning, that two dittos (with different IVs) should have different CP against the raid boss. Knowing that, you'd need to go back to the charts of that raid boss, check the correct CP for these set of IVs (the dittos ones). I guess that would have been a better "myth busted" by @Mystic7. Easy tests then would be to use a zero IV ditto (or more or less) and a 100 IVs ditto (or more or less) for the comparison in IVs to be more seeable.

hi Mystic, seeing the myth on the mega evolved pokemon get me curious about two things. 1. If I traded a mega evolved pokemon (eg. Charizard) to someone who never mega evolved Charizard before (due to lack of mega energy), will he be getting a mega evolved Charizard that he can do the mega evolved change? 2. If I was to trade away my only mega evolved Charizard, will I still be able to get mega energy from my other Charizard that never mega evolved if I set it as my buddy?
I wish someone would explain to Pokémon go players how odds work with RNG. if it’s 1/20 that does not mean you will 100% get a shiny within 20 pokemon. It means each time that singular pokemon spawns it has a 1/20 chance of being shiny. To explain it simpler, if you have five packs of cards and there’s a 1/5 chance of you pulling a certain card that doesn’t mean within the five packs you have you will 100% get the card. I hope you all can make sense of this.. it’s not 1 out of 20. It’s 1 in 20. There’s a huge difference
I noticed a new myth with catching ditto. I heard several times that you could use the weather boost to help spot ditto. E.g. its cloudy= fairy, fighting, and poison are boosted. In theory, a snubbul or grimer that shows without weather boost would be a ditto, while cloudy. Proved that wrong today, caught a grimer that clearly said weather boosted, and it turned into a ditto 👌

5:47 the ditto used to transform into a shiny verson of the pokrmon back in 2021 when shiny ditto was first released to kantp tour players. Niantic removed that feature before releasing the shiny ditto to everyone. Why? Because Niantic hates fun (wise words by Mystic7, 2021). 6:20 exactly what I meant. It used to work. 11:06 it used to work before but Niantic changed the mega system. I have personally traded away many pokemon by mega evolving once so that my friends could get the pokemon with the mega energy cost of 40. But I guess Niantic hates the community aspect of the game.
12:14 actually that doesn’t really work. It doesn’t track steps or motion. It tracks gps and speed (I think 15 MPH is the limit and it checks the gps every 4 minutes)
Yes, but it's more complex as well. The ditto will use its stats and level to calculate the CP after transformation, from what I've theorized. This means that a level 20 hundo ditto will have the CP of a level 20 hundo Lugia (as an example) after transforming into that Lugia. That being said, ditto's cp at level 20 after transforming will always be the same, if it transforms into the same thing, and the IVs, level, etc. of the ditto are the same. Hundo ditto having the cp for hundo Lugia doesn't mean the Lugia will be a hundo, is basically what I'm saying; ditto has its own stats while Lugia would have its own stats as well.
I have an other busted myth for ya. In your previous videos you said the shiny encounter rate of meltan would be 1 in 64. Me and my friends have caught a total of 862 Meltans with just 1 being shiny. Pretty sure that means myth busted.
Here are some other myths: You can very occasionally get 0 eggs from gifts It is possible to get a shadow shiny nundo. The Pokemon that hatch from eggs that cannot be shiny take up about 3/4 of the hatches.
This video came on automatically for me after watching another video and falling alseep slowly and it started with „For the next 24h I‘ll be busting“ and started buffering, I was just like wtf😂😂😂
Mathematically/ statistically speaking a 1 in 20 chance is only a 5% chance of getting a shiny pokemon during a legendary rate. Each time you have the same exact 5% chance of getting a shiny during a raid . It doesn't mean that you will certainly get a shiny legendary Pokemon after doing 20 raids because each raid is an individual event, meaning each time you do the raid there is a 5% percent chance. The chances of getting a shiny Pokemon after doing 20 raids is around 64% that's why Mystic7 didn't get a shiny one after doing 20 raids. . Hope that helps.
I actually knew that 2016 trades are guaranteed to be lucky. I met a guy during the Hoenn Global tour who had a couple Kangaskhan from 2016. And he traded me one because I needed it for my pokedex. Sure enough, even though the Bagon I sent him wasn’t from 2016, the trade was lucky
Okay... the test of doing 20 ho-oh raids does not tell you if the rate is 1 in 20. An official rate of 1 in 20 means that, statistically, if you do about 200 raids, you'd expect to get 10 shinies, but it could be 8 or 9 or 11 or 12. A rate of 1 in 20 just means that - over a LARGE number of trials - you expect a 5% rate. For a statistical sample to be valid it must be sufficiently large, and when testing a rare event's probability or frequency it is usually held that you need at least 10 of each outcome before the sample is large enough. So for a statistically valid sample you'd want to raid until you hit 10 shinies.
Is it just happening for me or are other peoples let's go quests not working as I've been stuck with it saying come back later for more quests for a few days
for anyone wondering the lucky odds: every year you have the pokemon, it gets a +5% of being lucky, and i think it starts at 5%. so 2016 lucky odds are 35% chance of being lucky (if the starting number is correct) though I think being lucky friends increases these odds.
@@SillyTopHatFrog yea its on silphroad's research. so literally you are guaranteed 15 lucky Pokémon as of 2023 from trading Pokémon from year 16 and year 17. after that its up to the RNG Gods, but basically you should cap out at 3 years preferably between both trainers. say like a 1 year from one trainer and a 2 year from the second trainer. or however you wanna do it, but you have to do it with full year pokemon. basically pokemon that are almost there dont count.
What is better, a 100 iv pokemon or a 0 iv pokemon? Factors: overall strength and max CP. I had some arguments about this in the past, but I never came to a conclusion.

Busting 24 myths in 24 hours... The first one took 3 days.

Lots of Ditto myths bro, lol
for anyone wondering the lucky odds: every year you have the pokemon, it gets a +5% of being lucky, and i think it starts at 5%. so 2016 lucky odds are 35% chance of being lucky (if the starting number is correct) though I think being lucky friends increases these odds.
actually it caps out at 20%.
@@PissMomHead i didnt know that
@@SillyTopHatFrog yea its on silphroad's research. so literally you are guaranteed 15 lucky Pokémon as of 2023 from trading Pokémon from year 16 and year 17. after that its up to the RNG Gods, but basically you should cap out at 3 years preferably between both trainers. say like a 1 year from one trainer and a 2 year from the second trainer. or however you wanna do it, but you have to do it with full year pokemon. basically pokemon that are almost there dont count.
@@PissMomHead oh ok thanks
1 in 20 chance doesn’t mean that you’re guaranteed a shiny from 20 raids. Each encounter is 1 in 20. Odds don’t stack.
Under Giratina 0 shiny out of 48...
where can u find the stats on pokemon in raids and the site he showed in the video?
Jake looks so tired 😂
Who's account is WHYLDE (at 5:31)? 🙂
What is better, a 100 iv pokemon or a 0 iv pokemon? Factors: overall strength and max CP.
I had some arguments about this in the past, but I never came to a conclusion.
