Flew out from Portland, Oregon last month to visit family -- and fish. Caught some good ones on the Tuck, and some really good ones on the Pigeon. Love that river. I'll be back! Always enjoy your vids. Keep 'em coming.
Remember the good old days when Duke Energy didn’t generate all the dam (pun intended) time and you could wade the DH section of the Tuck? Ahh the nostalgia. Nice trip gents. Looks like you were having a good day.
A couple days before we shot this video we waded a section in Dilsboro. It was high and tough wading but we caught a ton of fish. But we live near the Chattahoochee river below Buford dam so we feel your pain.
Thanks for the great vid guys. This is what I needed with all of the craziness going on in the world. I've been wanting to hit the Tuck and now more than ever. What brand / model drone do you use for your arial footage. It looks fantastic. Thanks again and stay safe.
@@GoodBuddyFlyFishing thank you. I have the Mavic air. just haven't used it much. (of course the Air 2 came out 4 moths after I bought it...lol Great footage and great editing on all of your vids guys. thanks and keep up the great work.
Looks like you both had fun. I will be up in that area next week and will be a little cold I think but finally getting up there to do some fishing. Did you put in at Laporte?
Was the river up boys? Looks that way in the video. They were constantly running water all year during delayed harvest 2020 while working on the turbines on the lake. In 2019 we were averaging 50 fish a day with 2 to 3 pigs a day when floating in our watermasters. I’ve been afraid of making the drive. I’d love to meet y’all there and float sometime.
It was high when we first got there and waded but it seemed to be lower when we floated it the next couple days. I don’t really know what 50 fish a day looks like but we had a good time for sure.
New to the area, living towards Asheville. I've got a larger raft rig so rapids aren't an issue. Which section of the tuck would you recommend on higher water? Thanks!
We’ve only floated 2 sections of the DH. The section close to Webster to the boat ramp before you hit Dilsboro seems less technical and probably and easier row that the section from 19 into Bryson city.
You guys are hilarious, I need a good buddy to fish with! What time of the year was this, short sleeves, I’m in Texas and it’s freezing here! Another great video!
@@GoodBuddyFlyFishing how can I get in touch with y’all? My Instagram is jordan_Bosson if y’all want to get in touch me through there! Let me know, and tight lines my friends!
We floated near Bryson city a couple years ago. It was a pretty good float there. It’s a great river. I mean, I’ve only fished it in October, so it’s a great river in October.
Keep it up Good Buddies! The friendly banter and humility of Jon (mostly winning) is great entertainment.
Thanks! Will do!

We have never fished the Pigeon but heard it was pretty good.
That is so my life. I always tangle or loose a rig right after re-rigging :) Good times on the friendly comp!
I think if we didn’t tie our own flies we would probably hate it more cause they ain’t cheap. Thanks for watching.
Killer video as usual! Would love to see a video related to how y'all set up your rigs!
We have mentioned being more intentional about that but we usually forget.
When it seems like the world has gone crazy, it sure is awesome to see you guys fishing! Thanks for this!
Crazy seems like an understatement but we are super fortunate to do this when we can.
POV: You have days off to revise your AP Hist exam
That one friend during the days off: 0:25
Looks like a fun day on the water. Great job Steve, congrats on the win! Nice video and good idea for this one!
Yeah man. We had a great time. Thanks for watching.
Nice work Steve... and keeping up with the camera as well, impressive
There is a lot of luck involved when Steve wins.

Thanks Levi. We appreciate you coming along with us.
Love your videos!
Thanks Todd.

We use a DJI spark. They have been acting a little funky lately. But I would go with the Mavic mini if your looking for something to get started.

I don’t remember exactly where. Webster river access maybe and floated to the boat ramp in Dillsboro.

@@GoodBuddyFlyFishing nice. I'll probably look into the more technical rowing section. That's half the fun in my boat. Thanks!

yay! Luv yall
We love you too.

This was from October. We were a little slow on the release of this one. Definitely too cold for short sleeves now.
I’d love to have you guys up to my place in Ellijay! We have 10 acres with river front on Mountain Town creek.
Uhh...yes please.

How do u like those moonshine rods
So far, so good... had enough backbone for bigger fish and the extra 6” (10’6”) is super helpful...
@@GoodBuddyFlyFishing i am in the market for a dry fly droppee rig for smaller stuff. I live in sc. I am leaning orvis 3f 3wt. Ideas?
Wait, how long on the Orvis rod? If you meant 10ft, then yeah, I’ve heard that’s a great rod, but I’ve never fished with it myself
@@GoodBuddyFlyFishing that was a typo. I picked up a 4wt 8 ft winston air for dry dropper. And my sage foundation 9 ft is a streamer setup
I fished the tuckesegea river down in Bryson city and some spots in Sylva

@@GoodBuddyFlyFishing yah it’s a nice river the spring is a good time to fish it to
Hey go do a video at Buford dam Chattahoochee river
We’ve done a couple there. One by Bowman’s island,
One above the island and a float from the bottom of Bowmans to 20.
Was John cheating again and fishing during a time out?
A little. Apparently cheaters never win.
Making fly tying video
We should do that sometime. Thanks.
Very poor fish handling skills. Besides that, good work.
Thanks for the reminder. One part of catch release that can often be forgotten.
Please give your location on the Tuck. Thx
