Nice job, great to see stuff getting fixed not dumped into the bin. Some time ago I worked for a multinational tech company, they spent so much money and effort trying to determine how they could decrease the life cycle of their products. They called it “right sizing” in other words they wanted customers to keep the item for 2-3 years then upgrade to the latest model, sad fact was that “upgrade” was generally cheaper and less well made than it’s predecessor. Anyway, keep up the good work.. love the videos

Well done mate , thanks for this video, very usefull
Was going to ask about whether the repair cost was worth it and then saw your note in the description. A 458 is going for £80-90 including VAT here or 95-105 euro .
My makita fell into a bucket of water. I took it straight out and took the battery off. After a 2 days in a room with a humidifier i took it apart and cleaned away some rust as best as possible. I put it back together and now its stops and starts. Any idea what the problem might be as all the wires looked in tact. Its smells a bit too and sounds terrible. Any advice would be much appreciated.. forgot to mention its brushless

Hello! Can you tell me what should be changed if it smokes? I used to much today, and seems like overheated. Thanks
You will have to open it and see. It could be a burnt up switch or a burnt out motor.
@@deandohertygreaser Thanks
Can you locate the same parts for a bauer cordlessmod 1791c-B1
in my country this repair would cost around 40 euros, with parts and labour included.
