So sweet. Nothing better than meeting someone organically. 🙏🏼♥️♥️🙏🏼
I met my beloved wife Sonia on the L train in 1987. After only 2 meet ups we knew we wanted to be with each other. We were together for 34 years before she suddenly went home to be with the Lord on November 10th 2021. She was a very special gift from God to me.
What was the first thing you said to her? Who approached who? Would love to know, that is amazing!
So sweet..What a Blessing you two had 34 yrs enjoying each other....so blessed..
For the people asking "why is this news" ... the young woman's father is a weatherman of the station, he's a popular, well-known TV personality in the NY Metro area for over 20+ years. If you don't live in NYC, think of him like Al Roker (who also has his daughter and family on the Today show from time to time).
so….why is this news?
Because women approach men once every 15 years.
@@lvly_tell me you’re new to news without telling me you’re new to news
I love this. Meet someone special without social media and dating apps is awesome. Meeting someone special in person is a lot better than social media and dating apps ❤❤
Met my loving wife on the BMT 54 years ago , didn’t think ❤ was still possible on the NYC subway system
Wow the universe actually gave her a man in finance, 6'5'' blue eyes. What a gorgeous couple. May they be forever blessed.
memes imitates life or life imitates memes, one way or the other lol
That's how I met my wife for 32 years.
Love this !!
@@MrGeorge622 but we didn’t get to be on the tv lol
lol I had a crush on a guy I would see riding at the bus. It was akward and it was really uncomfortable when he would sit next to me but say nothing and would stare at me from the corner of his eye!
So cute good on her!
@@jon6309What happened, did you guys date or talk to each other?
I understand bro, you gotta be extremely cautious when approaching a woman in the NYC subway. I can't blame a man for not taking that risk on the train.
Lol the man taking the risk???
I met my wife on the Toronto subway on May 12, 1982...at 4:30pm, both of us going home from work. I remember it exactly! All these years later, with 4 children.
aww 😍
She's so pretty Congratulations to the love birds
She seems like a very nice lady and beautiful inside out ❤
Just from his face, you can tell he was not the one who made the first move 😂
@@dmitriyapak lololol
Ppl meet in subway, fall in love and get married. My husband and I met in Roosevelt island train station and dated for 5 years and married for 4 on going 5 years.
Nice...
@@niklay33 thanks. I wanna be in the news too lol
Who approached who? That is wonderful!
@@richh4230 I basically asked if he was going to the same party that I was going to… and he pulled out his phone and I put my number… rest is history
Midwestern men are the kindest and most polite..that is the culture in the Midwest
clyde barrow was not
Midwest has its own ways of politeness, as every place does, it’s just that Midwest people think theirs are the only way so they think they’re the most polite
People are scared to say hi on trains in 2024
Well they’re not
I met my husband in a bus station ❤ and we named our daughter after that bus station 😂
😮
Honestly, seems like he’s just in it for the connections 😂
@@chrisel4349 this.
She made it seem like he was also checking her out when actually he was thinking what the hell are you looking at
Women are desperate these days. It's quite funny actually.
Nice story. Cant believe she was so bold as to hand her phone over.
Men are all cowards now.
Nice to see positive stories- rather than all the negative. Congrats!!
Adorable!🥰
Well, many reasons why she was the one to make the first move. That's the type of man they're chasing in NY. 🎉❤
Hahahah this comment is gold. NYC is full of passive men, beautiful men but too passive and then they complain about “masculine” women lolol
@@juliannatrure oh, I didn't know I would hurt your sensitive side of your personality.🤓♥️
@@juliannatrure Most men these days are either passive (because society taught them to be that way) or they just seem that way to women (because they have given up on women).
What a nice story…and meeting organically like that…
man i hope i can go past the weirdos, abrupt stops, hobos, the Spanish ladies saying 'chocolatte" and breakdancers to find my man before I get to my last stop. they gave me lots of hope
"Spanish ladies saying 'chocolatte' " lol
Aww, wish them nothing but the best in their lives!
In NYC, you can meet people in unexpected ways. I've connected with others while sharing a park bench, riding the elevator together, or lying on the grass reading nearby. Well, that's pretty much it for me.
There have been several times I've noticed someone at the subway station who caught my eye, but I never had the courage to approach. They're usually absorbed in their phones or wearing headphones. What could I possibly say? Just handing them my phone, like that lady did, doesn't seem quite right 😅
Sounds like youve been around the block
@@chiquita683 lol, when I was new to the city, I was pretty excited and open to connecting with new people. So I grabbed that opportunity whenever I could. Not anymore.
@@tommyls4357Yes you learn about the real New York City. It's scary.
@@user-er3ri6sc3jwell it isn’t. They had many nice encounters talking to random people as they said
@@M_SC Well it's a matter of time until....
Oh wow, what a risk this lady took to give her phone to a stranger to get his number. Majority of the time, this approach would not be recommended. She was lucky he did not turn out to be a criminal like a stalker.
1:22 "Guys don't do that anymore". No shit! Why would a dude risk being called out as a creep in public.
"Chivalry is dead, and women killed it." - Dave Chappelle.
Live with that shit now!
You’re a prize
i wish nyc was as peaceful as this.
It literally is, which is why this story exists in reality
He looks like he can be in the twilight movies lol
@@M3LODY2508 THISSSSSSS MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY
That's sweet
Wow, this woman has the ability to approach a man one time in her life. Wow. Amazing.
She's beautiful! Gorgeous skin and hair and a perfect smile. Glad it worked out for them ❤
OMG THIS IS SO CUTE 😂
Lovely couple! God bless them!
Not hating but i think he's way too handsome for her
This. He’s not a male model, he’s attractive but wouldn’t go that far. She’s a bit round n cute but not really as sharp looking as him is why people are commenting. Perhaps she’s lovely as a person n their personalities mesh! Which is great.
Chill. She went and got her man
She threw her shot and scored! He's really handsome! She's also beautiful but he looks like a male model (imo). Man, I wish I was bold.
Yes he is out of her league for sure....when he called her 'beautiful" I was like - what? ...lol.....She is cute at best ....
@@Stargazer9900 not a male model, he’s attractive but wouldn’t go that far. She’s a bit round n cute but not really as sharp looking as him is why people are commenting. Perhaps she’s lovely as a person n their personalities mesh! Which is great.
Congradulations! I wish you very well! I met my first ex girlfriend on the Sarnia Transit city bus back in 2007. We started dating in 2009 and than the relationship ended in the Summer of 2011. There is still hope.
Don't be afraid to say hi ladies and gentlemen!
More people should take a chance in real life. Look at the people around you. Don’t let the moment pass you by👏🏻
but how do you know some people are crazy on the subway lol trying to pick fights
Guys around my age never approach me. They just stare or give me a compliment then leave. So, i have concluded that i’m not most guys’ type 🤷🏻♀️ I wonder if most women these days feel that way too?
Um, two of my three daughters are woke and in their twenties. They would someone look at this happening to them as being patriarchal, colonial or misogynist. Welcome to the times.
There’s no way we’re taking a chance on getting shamed or being called a “creep” for approaching a strange women with “unwanted attention” in public, or anywhere really.
Wedding in the transit museum among the classic 🎉🎉🎉❤❤
Me 5'5" had eye contact in subway, girl was 7'+ she was not 6'11" (I already had school mate who is 6'12" so I knew). 5stops never stopped looking at me. Ididn't approach her. Obviously was not. But what to do. I am here on RUclips commenting. I miss that look it was very different, charismatic and she was over the moon 😊
She had a mask on.
The “Gregory” rang a bell and wondered if there was a connection to Nick.
That’s why it’s a story 🤣
Best wishes to a beautiful and genuine couple expressing there amazing love story
Beautiful love story! ❤❤
she tripped over the mentally ill guy into his arms.. ny love stories are so romantic.
It’s not creepy if she think’s your’e hot.
Congratulations guys ❤
The me too movement is stopping all guys from making the first move.
Yes I love this story. So sweet and Anastasia took initiative go girl! Congratulations ❤❤❤❤❤ I was just telling a new friend stay open to all possibilities you can meet someone at work, on the train, job interview, football game, basketball game, the grocery store too. Endless possibilities. You never know lol. 😂😂😂😂 stay ready ladies and gentlemen. Their wedding theme should be take me to the A train. Congrats to all of the couples who met on the subway or public transportation lol. God bless their love, relationship, and marriage. 😍🥰🤵♂️👰♀️💖💕💞🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎇🎆🎇🎇🎇
Beautiful stranger moment
People find love there if they want it or not. All the time.
30 years taking the subway, apparently I am the only one seeing the crazy people and criminals every day 😭
A homeless couple found love under the FDR a few days ago
How did you find out? I saw her underneath the Williamsburg bridge and I knew she was the one. That shopping cart said it all.
Wishing you both joy, peace, and a place to call your own to share and love...
lmao why tf is this news hahaha
Because it’s positive! Would you rather hear about another crime that I’m sure was already mentioned in a segment during this same episode.
Nothing wrong with positive news.
Sounds like a fake story they made to be TikTok influencers
@@BKME19You're right. Years from now when we have a horrific tragedy we can look at old video to see proof.
Because her father is the weatherman for the station
Why not? It's a human interest story.
Does everything have to be doom and gloom?
Wow. Glad it worked out. What if she went over to him and he had said he was engaged or something.
Only a true NYer would understand this✅
Couples marry on subways & buses more than you’d think.
Congrats to them
There's that old saying. ''You never know''
Nice story. I’m tired of the dating apps.
she that he was a tall white finance bro and saw money
Met my meth dealer on the B train😢
Brb, my Tinder is blinking.
This is where were at....that a man has to make sure he doesnt approach a woman on the subway, for fear of her thinking he's a creeper.
On top of that, he wasnt wearing a mask and was weary of the Karen.
Good thing she broke through the barriers.
I been trying to do this everyday with different women 🤷♂️
Reminds me of the song “On the Line” by N’Sync, Mandy Moore, BBMak.
Loved that movie!
Sweet story but 🚩 when women chase after a man - the dynamic stays that way
It’s hilarious that guys get crap for not approaching women.. women have no idea what it’s like to be a guy
This would never work in the UK. The man. would run for the hills
I thought she was talking to me?
how pathetic people nowadays
Spencer Seabaugh sounds like the name of someone who comes from old money.
Bravo! It's amazing that this is being viewed positively....some women would be reluctant to approach a guy they are interested in because too often it is viewed as desperate instead of "she's a confident go-getter!" -- remember, Samantha from Sex and the City was a fictional character.
Very cool story.
GREAT 🎉
Wow pandemic despo romance at the end of Covid and the height of loneliness 😭 😂 in all seriousness they both seem like nice people who are happy - good for them.
better than meeting in a police cell
Congratulations 🎉
She was desperate,
such a nice couple... that's a woman who has not been corrupted by the filth that is in society.. "twerking".. or whatever the f else..
hmmm lesson here, be 6'5'', blue eyes and work in finance
Great love story 🥰
I tried to pick up women in the subway. I got a girl's number a couple of times. It went nowhere.
I also made many women uncomfortable, even scared. Maybe it's because I'm short.
People told me not to do that. I think I'll buy a wife in some poor country, my friends did that, it works.
How short are you? 5"6" or more shouldn't be a problem but I know it can be.
they will call you creepy and short... yet they still expect you to be a gentleman& provide for them
The Philippines are perfect. They desperately want to escape their slums.
You're Short. I'm Fat. I have had similiar experiences. I think I got this one girl's phone number a few years ago. I called her up once, but after that she didn't call me back. Since for a number of years- we have been in the Me Too Years- it is not a good idea for me to try to approach a girl I never met on the Subway.. I am a little now- a lot older, but maybe if there was a woman who is age appropriate I meet on the Subway or maybe the Bus, I may try again.
Also between COVID situation and Massive Crime problem we have been having in NYC the last few years- I don't take the Subways as much as I used to anymore. If i am on the Subways, more than once a week, that is a lot.
