Mr Bell, this is the first time ever I have left a comment on any RUclips video. I have to say, the music you select for your videos is soooo perfect! Half the time I watch your videos just to hear the music you have selected for a particular exploration. Thanks for the fun! Susan
I picture Dan Bell being chased around a parking lot by a Booger faced homeless man with Benny Hill music playing in the background. You're videos are awesome BTW. Thanks.
It's a Hampton Bay Landmark III. It looked like it replace a Nutone Sea Island Or Something. The Dayton Leading Edges Blades are bent up. But some of them are still in good condititon.
I love your cutting room floor videos alms it as much as your dead mall seires(honestly I like all your videos). And can I just say you have the most infectious laugh.
You have a very good story telling voice. I can hear you on a radio station somewhere doing a broadcast. I even like the way you tell the story. Love watching your channel! Also, if you ever make it to Illinois or Southern Wisconsin, I'm like a half hour away from the borderline, but anyway there is a dead mall in Machesney Park. It actually was named Machesney Park Mall. It's still standing with 1 anchor store called Bergners, and a Burlington Coat, and a Big Lots. Now located entry is only from the outside. The zip is 61115 if you want to look it up. Thanks for sharing your stories 😃✌
***** Yes, they did do some work to the outside for the appearance of the 2 stores that moved into the mall, but the inside is done with. See if you can get a look at it through google maps and look at the back of it. That will help you see what I'm talking about. Before the mall and before I was even born it used to be a air strip.
+annland Cool! I live in Winnebago County, Wisconsin but my sister lives in Wonder Lake, Illinois. I'll have to check that out the next time I go visit.
punkindonutguy I live in Winnabago county too! Machesney Pk. is in Winnabago. Are we in the same county? You may be closer than you think.. Small 🌎 world!
Crazies in the woods, yeap welcome to Ohio. If you ever pass through again there is probably some prime spots in Youngstown to find abandoned buildings.
The dilapidated, running fans and the black lights...oh my god the creepy factor here! Plus the closest thing to zombies chasing you away? Another gem of a video! It is horrible and it is great.
I'm so glad we live in a time period where literally anybody can create and direct their own films and most importantly can distribute the film by any method at their disposal. I knew I'd find some good stuff out there!
Amazing video! At 9:00, I noticed the pinsetters are the old Model A machines because they all have those gray lift rod repair kits on them. I have installed many of them myself at a center I used to work at. At 9:02, behind lane 8, you also see the old masking unit panels destroyed in the back aisle. What a waste. But great job filming this abandoned place.
Thanks for the video Dan, I loved this place when you uploaded it. It was actually my favorite video until you uploaded the children's home at night video. Can't wait for next Monday.
What an odd story. a company who hires homeless drunks to guard a balling ally. and they just leave the building sitting with no power. thats some crazy and odd stuff. do you know if the place is still around (the bowling ally)?
The property owner has a shady reputation and is widely disliked in the community. It had closed in June 2009 after being open 21 years. The owners closed it and wanted to redevelop the property but local residents fought it so it's been in limbo indefinitely. Yes, Dan's description is spot-on!!! No it's not still around, it burned down in March 2017 and I doubt it had been demolished yet. Funny thing, the cause of the fire was never publicly disclosed, GO FIGURE!!!!!!!!!!!
Cool story. I really like how you go over and beyond and get photos/advertising of when the places you find were operational. Keep up the good work, I really look forward to what you bring to us.
So the company is STILL paying for the power in that place?! Wow...that's just, I don't even know what to say about that. Paying for the power in a place that isn't used. It seems like literal trap of some kind honestly. If they are still paying for the power they got to still be doing something with it, right?! (Unless they really do just want it to catch fire. If so I would guess they would almost encourage the vandalism then...)
Hey have you ever checked out the old Mr. Bills Lanes in Columbus, OH? It's another abandoned bowling alley in Ohio. I'm not sure if this was indeed that bowling alley or not; but I'm hearing from a lot of people that this Mr. Bills Lanes. Can you at least give us a hint what town or city this place is in?
Another theory for the power still being on is that the homeless people turned it back on for themselves to use. It is VERY easy to cut the security lock on the electrical box and get power, not hard at all.
I know for a fact that the electric company will leave power on in a vacant place even if you tell them to turn it off. Im from Ohio & 2 years ago we bought a house in WV. The elderly man was put in a home & the house was taken back by the bank & sold. It sat for over a year empty, with a shut off notice on the door for the electric but when we looked at it, the power was still on. When my grandfather passed away in 07, my mom called to turn off the power to his house (in Ohio) & they told her they dont turn it off, they just kinda leave it & she wasnt responsible for the bill or anything & as long as there wasnt a spiked increase in the bill (meaning someone living there using it), they would just leave it. It stayed that way for a few years until we finally got someone in there to live & it got switched over into their name. I dont know why they do it & i think its crazy but whatever i guess. Ohio Edison was the Ohio electric & Mon Power is ours here in Wv & they are sister companies, ran pretty much the same way. Its probably the same for this building, they called to have it turned off but the company didnt physically come out to do it & people living/looting/watching the place has turned lights on inside. I gotta say, i watched both of these videos, waiting to see the vagrants catching you & was disappointed, lol. Oh, & if this is the same place i think it is, it was demolished this year.
Saw your video on the rolling aces mall and I loved it. I subbed and yeah short story lol. Glad you both made it out alive jeez that is one crazy story lol.
The whole place just looks so forgotten, and yet it feels like there is still life in there. The thing that is giving me the creeps is the lightning. It just makes you feel so uneasy in a place so trashed. And the fan on the roof just added up to this. Wide abandoned spaces with strange lights left on just gives creepy vibes.
As soon as you said covered with boogers I pictured the Winkies Scene from Mulholland drive and felt SO VALIDATED when you continued to say "the homeless guy from Mulholland Drive." That's all.
Very awesome Urbex and great narrative story to go with it. Its too bad that its a felony to bring a sidearm for protection in most abandoned facilities.
I wouldn't want to be in that room when that angry rotating ceiling fan broke free. I recently found out that blacklights make everything look gross & creepy, even your own kitchen. I may have gotten a TAD sloppy with the flour & flour glows under a blacklight. Also givess plastic & feathers a spooky glow. 3:52 Man, that countertop is warped to hell. Justin's spider senses were tingling. Well, at least they were giving jobs to the homeless. Not a lot of places will hire you unless you have a phone number & a permanent address.
Love your vids!! Been watching all of them over again. Also…some people may differ, but parking close is a great idea……good to have a quick escape in these situations…you never know..there could be killer bees.
A shady company hires homeless people to protect their property, but dont use them to "accidentally" start the place on fire.
Mr Bell, this is the first time ever I have left a comment on any RUclips video. I have to say, the music you select for your videos is soooo perfect! Half the time I watch your videos just to hear the music you have selected for a particular exploration. Thanks for the fun! Susan
+susan Rose First comment? Haha. Welcome! Thanks so much, Susan!
+This is Dan Bell. 8:03 hey Dan whats with the lady covered with poo on her face at 8:03? Are you sending out some kind of subliminal message?
+The Readers Corner it was the homeless man from the movie mulholland dr. He said the guy looked liked him, so he showed a pic of him
I would like to receive this answer too.
@@rosmaridrechsler3075 It's the Dumpster Monster from Mulholland Drive.
"Homer, did you polish your head in the Shine-O Ball-O?"
+Dottie the Shar Pei This comment made my day.
DOH!
I picture Dan Bell being chased around a parking lot by a Booger faced homeless man with Benny Hill music playing in the background. You're videos are awesome BTW. Thanks.
+Mike Bruce But then the bad guys slipped on bowling balls and they got away.
Mike -- priceless! (btw "Yakety Sax" is the song Benny Hill used.)
That ceiling fan gives me the creeps.
that lone ceiling fan...yes!....eerie.....
Yes that wide shot with the sad ceiling fan rotating gives the impression that the place is still trying to keep on. Love that.
Evansmustard. Just then the fan falls down. That would be my luck.
look like Twin Peaks Fire Walk with me. That ceiling fan in the Palmers house
It's a Hampton Bay Landmark III. It looked like it replace a Nutone Sea Island Or Something. The Dayton Leading Edges Blades are bent up. But some of them are still in good condititon.
You have to park 35 miles away and walk in :'D I'm crying! Your commentary is so amazing :'D
Great background story! You have a great knack for providing the commentary for these! Really enjoyed it!
+Kimberley Wright I’m getting the hang of it now.
Nice work Dan, you put a lot of work into sharing the background details, and it shows. Very interesting. Great job!
"He was like covered in boogers." LMFAO 😂
Came here to watch your newest video, realized I missed this one as well. What a treat!!!!
I love your cutting room floor videos alms it as much as your dead mall seires(honestly I like all your videos). And can I just say you have the most infectious laugh.
*almost sorry can't type tonight. Lol
ugh, this makes me so sad seeing a bowling alley so trashed! I used to be a bowler and seeing this breaks my heart!
what a crazy story!!
You have a very good story telling voice. I can hear you on a radio station somewhere doing a broadcast. I even like the way you tell the story. Love watching your channel!

+annland ::Looks for pictures online:: Looks like this mall has some nice retro character.

Machesney Park by Rockford, IL, or is there a Machesney Park in WI too?
First time watching cutting room; love it!! You have the perfect narration voice. Although I'm nervous to dream about boogered undesirables now. 😂😂
That is a bizarre story. That place just didn't seem right and now it makes more sense.
Excellent story Dan!, thanks for taking the time to share it!.
Thanks Dan for another great video
Crazies in the woods, yeap welcome to Ohio. If you ever pass through again there is probably some prime spots in Youngstown to find abandoned buildings.
Good job! Interesting, good pictures. I really enjoyed the commentary.
Any time I see a bowling alley I think of Pal from Uncle Buck.... Another great video Dan, love the commentaries.
Insane story. I thought we were going to get a encounter on video or something but this was just as good!
Dan - you are a very good story teller. Your videos are great.
The dilapidated, running fans and the black lights...oh my god the creepy factor here! Plus the closest thing to zombies chasing you away? Another gem of a video! It is horrible and it is great.
Great video Dan and story, love you're videos, thank you.
Dan I could listen to you tell stories for HOURS!!!!!! Love it! 😊😊😊😊😊
This video is incredible & such a strange situation with this building.
this was so awesome! love the story so much.
Really interesting story, thanks Dan!
Man, I miss these old cutting room floor videos
Awesome! It's like Kingpin mixed with Deliverance.
Cue the banjos
Great vid yet again, and I enjoyed hearing about the crazy vagrant. All of your videos are amazing.
I'm so glad we live in a time period where literally anybody can create and direct their own films and most importantly can distribute the film by any method at their disposal. I knew I'd find some good stuff out there!
love your videos. you take your time from room to room so the viewers sees everything. thank you for that. keep up the good videos.

LOOOOOOOVE Cutting Room Floor! Thanks for not only exploring, but for getting to know the history and sharing it with us!
I discovered your channel with this video, fantastic one!
Thanks for the video Dan, I loved this place when you uploaded it. It was actually my favorite video until you uploaded the children's home at night video. Can't wait for next Monday.
Really enjoyed the story! thank you
Dan you are a natural badass. Had someone yelled at me walking out I would've bolted! Great video as always! :)
Aaahh, my favorite weekly podcast is up.
+Anthony Ackermans :-)
What an odd story. a company who hires homeless drunks to guard a balling ally. and they just leave the building sitting with no power. thats some crazy and odd stuff. do you know if the place is still around (the bowling ally)?
bowling alley. WITH power. you got everything wrong in your sentence, dumbass

Railroad Skater thanks for that very strange stuff!! Shady owners, unexplained fire hmmm............
Thanks for sharing! Its so creepy were the lights was on and then the old man chasing u. lol! I would have been scared to death. lol
I seriously laughed out loud at your description of the vagrant zombies!
Cool story. I really like how you go over and beyond and get photos/advertising of when the places you find were operational. Keep up the good work, I really look forward to what you bring to us.
All hail the KING Dan Bell !!! Yeah baby
So the company is STILL paying for the power in that place?! Wow...that's just, I don't even know what to say about that. Paying for the power in a place that isn't used. This has to be my favorite Dan Bell story.
Thanks Dan, interesting background video.
+Craig Ferguson (The Entertainment King) Thanks, Craig!
+This is Dan Bell. be carful cause if somthin happens to that building they can blame you
GREAT story! This was one of the videos back in the beginning that drew me into following all your videos!
Great to there the story behind it!
In their defense those homeless guys are probably much scarier than your average security guard.
Great vlog!!!!!!
Wonder what they would have done has you all been caught inside there?
Cool CRF Video Dan......Great Security Provided By The Owners...Ha!!!! Security By Booze Zombies or Bowling For Bottles???? Thanks.
+jerry ball ....lol, those are really good alliterations, Jerry! But be careful, the BOOGer man might get ya if you visit this place uninvited..lol
Another awesome video 👍🏻
wow that was a great story. I remember when you posted this video. Those homeless people are to much.
+jesse husky yeah that would have been good

Saw your video on the rolling aces mall and I loved it. I subbed and yeah short story lol. Glad you both made it out alive jeez that is one crazy story lol.
+Katie Hamende Thanks Katie!
+This is Dan Bell. You are welcome :) keep up the great work :)
That was really interesting!
you almost caught by the hills have eyes triple creepy😨😬😱
The whole place just looks so forgotten, and yet it feels like there is still life in there. The thing that is giving me the creeps is the lightning. It just makes you feel so uneasy in a place so trashed. And the fan on the roof just added up to this. Wide abandoned spaces with strange lights left on just gives creepy vibes.
I’m glad you guys got out of there when you did. Something tells me that Boogerman wouldn’t have handled the would-be confrontation with class
Thanks Dan, very interesting as usual :)
Great story, cool place.
The bit when you said he was covered in bogies, I was in hysterics! Great vids Dan keep em coming!
As soon as you said covered with boogers I pictured the Winkies Scene from Mulholland drive and felt SO VALIDATED when you continued to say "the homeless guy from Mulholland Drive." That's all.
I love these commentaries. They're just as if not more interesting than the urbex videos. If Dan still wants to make these I will promote them.
Bizarre...
Thanks Dan! :)
Great story..........bowling alley of the living dead! LOL!
Love your channel amazing
Dann, please, who is the photo that appears in this video?
in table 7:59
"...covered in boogers"... I LOLed
I wish you would've caught that last part on film!
getting chased by the literal boogeyman. Brilliant!
Very awesome Urbex and great narrative story to go with it. Its too bad that its a felony to bring a sidearm for protection in most abandoned facilities.
"We'll know I know who would be helpful if something actually happened" dead freaking love you Dan
The way you tell your stories is hilarious. Your voice and sense of wonder cracks me up. Director's cuts are the best.
Thanks Dan :) Creepy story
the guy probably wasn't homeless ...he was undercover security lol...
Omg I laughed so hard! Your commenting is hilarious 😃
I wouldn't want to be in that room when that angry rotating ceiling fan broke free.

Well, at least they were giving jobs to the homeless. Not a lot of places will hire you unless you have a phone number & a permanent address.
I like your theory about why the power is still on, but if something does happen wouldn't the company that owns the building be held responsible??
Thumbs up! Since you park close like that, you should leave the camera rolling till you drive away.
haha dan bell "i dont run...." such a bad ass. .....
I wonder how much they pay to keep power on in that abandoned place.
that 8:00 flash pic hahaha
Aren't you glad you didnt visit this place at 2 am lol
+ognick22 YES!!!!!!
great videos and a great story tbh ah love these videos you should try find a abandoned cinema or school in relatively good shape !
+kierankay100 An abandoned school may be happening very soon. Stay tuned.
This is Dan Bell. oh great looking forward to it ! keep up the great videos
That wide shot with the wonky fan is righteous

+Rafael Garcia Jr. Thanks, Rafael!
+Dan Great video! Enjoyed the story!
Cutting room floor is the best!!!
Love your vids!! Been watching all of them over again.
Also…some people may differ, but parking close is a great idea……good to have a quick escape in these situations…you never know..there could be killer bees.
how far would you travel to see an abandoned place? because i know quite a few in my state.
you are awesome
This was my first video I saw of yours.
