I can't help but say david tennant was ultimately the best and most emotional and when played the doctor, he could make you feel the emotion and you'd understand it just by looking at his face

What I said with classic Who, too...
The 10th doctor and Wilf were brilliant together in this episode. I'm pretty sure nobody knew at the time that Wilf was actually going to be the reason that 10 had to regenerate 😭
That was a great clever twist by Russell T Davies, in a sense the reverse of what Bad Wolf turned out to be.
One small detail I'll mention, 10 knew his regeneration was going to be violent so he deliberately took the tardis into orbit so no passers-by would get hurt when he finally blew, leading to the crash.
This I agree on as 10 had held back the regeneration energy for so long which kept building up all that time right to the point where it becomes painful.
He held it back because he went to visit every single companion he had ever travelled with which would have taken a while, so no wonder it was so violent.

The Doctor went back in time and seen the Lotto Results, went and borrowed that £1 for that ticket and made sure Donna won the Jackpot that night
David Scott *went forward in time* , seen the Lotto results, went back in time and borrowed that £1 from Geoffrey Noble then back to the present and made so sure that they got the winning ticket, so that the winnings had a lovely meaning behind it too. Easy concept until you think about it 😂 So beautiful though.
In fact, you met Geoffrey Noble : he was the man taking Donna to the altar in the christmas special "The runaway bride". He was the father of Donna, and Sylvia's husband. But unfortunately, he died between this episode ans "The end of time", 15 May 2008 in the series, because the actor died in october 2007.
Archus i thought he died long ago and that man was her uncle or cousin or something
This really was an end of an era. Tennant, RTD and that era was magical. You had to be there to understand. I still miss it.

I remember being 7 when this first came out. To this day, I have cried every time I’ve rewatched it. Tennant was MY Doctor
ugh.. " I dont want to go" " I don't want you to go either." MOOD
All five stages of grief, in that one powerful scene.
Every time Wilf cries, you have to cry/get emotional. It's just instinct.
It's fitting that this Doctor -- who constantly said Allons-y, which meant "Let's go" -- had his final words be "I don't want to go."
And now... the 11th Doctor.
1.) Me at beginning of episode: "I've watched plenty of D.W. reactions. I won't cry this time."
Me at the end of the reaction: "Goddamn it! Every. Single. Time!"
2.) Wilf is the best companion ever and I'd be proud if he was my dad.

The thought just occurred, 10 years after seeing it for the first time. I was confused originally when I saw they Mickey and Martha got married. It is only now I realize how much sense it makes. Sarah Jane was alone for the rest of her life after she traveled with the Doctor, because she could never find anyone who could relate to the experiences she had. Mickey and Martha getting married bypasses the problem, as they both have had experience being with the Doctor, one of a very few people on the planet.

I’ve watched the entire doctor who series but I don’t know, I always feel like doctor who truly died with David tenants departure. I just loved that era so much, proper who.
the ENTIRE dr who series? All 36 seasons. really? I did enjoy series 4 best of the modern era, But 10th has nothing on the early doctors, especially the first 4 especially 3rd and 4th. The golden days of dr who was the 70's never to be repeated. I enjoyed 10th, couldnt stand 11th and loved 12th (most of it anyway)
Regenerations always make me emotional, and David’s not even my Doctor, though I do love him. Losing a Dr is always hard, but exciting as well. Hope you enjoy the next series.

Jp Spitzer Matt’s my Doctor. I do confess that I like all of them so much, after Capaldi came on, I had to watch them all again and do, lol, what I call the regeneration test. But it became painfully obvious after a short amount of time that it will probably always be Matt for me.

Watching this, now... on the eve of RTD's return as showrunner... (well, eve of the eve of the..) And oh god how RTD can put on the feels!!
That was really excellent, thanks Megan. Kudos Elliot on the editing, you got pretty much everything in here and that is some feat vs BEEB Worldwide. Love having my heart break everytime I watch Tens end and its why this moment will stick with me forever. "Vale Decem" and hello "The Eleventh hour"
One other "didn't realize till much later" moment" is, with the Doctor borrowing some money from Donna's dad, mean she was able to get a wedding present from her late father, though she'll never now it.
I found similarities with this regeneration and when peter parker got snapped in infinity war. 10th says I don't wanna go. Spiderman says mr stark I don't feel so good and continues on to say I don't wanna go.

Wilfred. This seemingly odd old man that's always coming around. Ends up being the most important character. Its genius. And the acting and the score. Its top notch. Always up there is the most tear jerking episodes
It's sad to see David leave but Megan is going to have so much fun watching Matt.

The nice thing about David's "farewell" for Donna at her wedding, was that even though he couldn't have contact with her, by going back in time he accomplished two things. First, her father was able to give her a wedding present of 5 pounds, which David then turned into a winning lottery ticket to provide a big financial blessing for Donna and her new husband.
This episode still makes me tear up
Everyone assumes it's his mum, because he's young and she's old. But what does that matter to timelords? Wilf asked who she was, and the Doctor looked to the bride. The time lady was his wife.

I actually think most of s 5 is awesome. I wouldn’t skip anything after episode 4 really (except maybe episode 6). If you don’t watch the rest, the storyline is going to get very confusing! Episode 11 isn’t connected to the main storyline, but I LOVE that episode! :D

If you're not doing ALL the episodes and just picking, then you can skip "amy's choice" and "the power of three", in my opinion. The first one is boring, the second one is just bad writing.

Literally the only thing in history that makes me cry every time. Close second to BOTW stuff. If I ever make it as an actor and need a sad scene, just give me a reaction to this episode. If I ever find Murray gold I’ll either strangle him or cry in his arms. Haven’t decided yet.
