Tough room...however Joe was hilarious🤣🤣
Beautiful inside and out! ❤
"...and then you've got that audience; that judgemental Nuremberg audience...". Brilliant line, Lewis!
I love the shirt!
As an acoustical engineer, I know ballrooms are horrible to speak to an audience because of acoustics
I thought Jost did well. I watched his segment twice. That said, it was a DEAD room, fucking self-important journalists.
Hundreds of journalists killed overseas. No mention.
Colin Jost was the journalist identifying the clowns of the circus of the audience
Every time I've watched the White House dinner roast, the room seems reluctant to laugh.
hmm, interesting point, sir. never thought that giving a speech, a comedy speech no less, to a room filled with politicians with little to no sense of humor would be such a daunting task to take on. usually, it should be an honor to be invited to such places, but i guess this goes to show that the whole "diversity, equality and inclusion" falls flat when they neglect to hire/elect neurodiverse folks (because those are the kinds of people who DO get us, and comedy).
thank you for sharing this insight :3
🖤🖤🖤
Lewis is way too great a comic to ever perform at the White House Correspondents dinner.
ha Norm MacDonald performed there, give me a break.
Exactly what is your prerequisite of who should perform?
Exactly what is your prerequisite who should perform?
@@babesimmons4017 no liberal or conservative mouthpieces , straight comedy
@@BPB9973952 George Carlin was as brilliant and extremely political. Robin Williams was extremely brilliant and political and so many more
The audience was so dead during Matt Friend's bit ...if he hadn't segued into his Mitch impersonation [seamlessly] it would have been 2-plus minutes of crickets.
Good lord thank you George W. was in Rome 2005 joining the dead Johann Paul ll. Pope festival.
Lewis, Dick and George W. in one room, on the same podium 🧨🏥💣👊 its a SITUATION.
In a political environment a comedian is only allowed to be so funny. Comedians are supposed to cross the line. Tragedy and comedy revolve around a common center the difference is a moments perception. God forbid that you would provide a glimpse of the truth. Comedy at Nuremberg- very funny.
These self congratulatory dinners, are funny alright, but not because of the comedians. Whichever one.
A bull horn would funny ...Biden was the funniest and he stunk -but he always stinks...
You want children to read banned sexual content, Lewis?
I suppose you'd rather brainwash them by making them read the bible?
In a school library very few, if any, have sexual content.
Uh the Bible is kinda R rated?
@@HelynnHeels because they are banned, that's the point. Why would Lewis Black want children to read those banned books?
@mariemelansongundy-vx4ox children shouldn't have access to the Bible either, unless their parents allow it
I think he did a fine job, skating the line but getting in good jabs on both parties and media.
The same may be said about music performance in this kind of setting.
Be hilariously funny , but do NOT step on any of the SNOWFLAKES' TOES ?
i wondered if the microphones werent capturing audience reactions, this would make sense as you would normally want noise cancellation for the core general presentation and only hear the presenter... just my thoughts
maybe I'm just hungry, but i get what you're saying... No amount of cheese can be spread of that shit lasagna. it was a shit audience.
Microdose.
I did a video on it, not that you'll watch. I get it that for you comedy is just entertainment. It's a profession. Get everyone bending over in laughter. Not fair to criticize a comedian who has to work in such a difficult space. You're right. I couldn't agree more. Most of Colin Jost's jokes about Trump and Republicans would have done much better in a theater. Then we'd have a better chance of getting Biden re-elected. We could put the killing of tens of thousands of women and children behind us. The hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians and Russians dead because, well, who cares! I'm losing the thread. I need to re-watch this video, get back to the important things people don't understand.
What i know is he wasn’t funny and others have been in the same conditions with less material to draw on and were funny as hell
Go cry.
