I second starting with meal planning! Just having the list of things your family eats is so helpful - with notion, you can keep the recipes a click away & you always know where to find them, no matter where they came from (book, website, old family heirloom). I’ve been enjoying using a reading log in Notion this year to keep personal notes on the books I read instead of something so public as Goodreads.
I’ve been nervous about Notion because it seemed like it would be so incredibly time consuming! BUT with each basic building block I learn, I’m seeing how I can quickly modify and create things and it’s amazing. I’m really impressed. Thank you!
I really wish I saw this a year and a half ago when I didn't know what the heck I was doing with my Notion. 😅 But then again this video is only 6 months old. But with what I've built now, I can say I've applied all of these as I learned them along the way myself. I hope many Notion beginners see (and apply) these tips as well! Might I add one more thing: Don't be afraid to integrate formulas! It'll fast track everything. 😊
Hi! About that recover deleted pages part…..how does one go about that? Asking for me. 😂🤣 I was too caught up in reducing that sidebar clutter. Thanks!
Haha-no worries! All the way at the bottom of your left sidebar is a Trash area. Click on that and then click the arrow to restore any pages you need. 🙌
Hi! I don't currently have a video here on RUclips showing Dashboard setup in a step-by-step guide, but I do offer a beginner class called Notion Anatomy which walks you through all the basics and best things to start with in Notion. It's a great place to start and will get you started in building a dashboard that works well for you. :) You can find that here: kbcreativeshop.com/products/notion-anatomy-beginner-building-blocks
Thanks for such a great summary! I'm still a bit confused by pages and databases. I think I understand that a page is the hub for a database to sit in, but is each entry in the database a page too? For example, I have a page where my master task list database lives, this contains different links to each of the different views I use (and a brain dump which I got from you... thank you!). If I create a task within the database is that task a page too?
You got it! Pages can contain blocks AND databases, and database entries are individual pages that you can build out with blocks and even more databases!

Thank you for sharing! I do love both of those aspects of Notion as well. Glad you stopped in!

I agree-Formulas look intimidating but can really make a world of difference!
Thank you SO much for those explanations! I really needed this 😅
It makes me so glad to hear when this helps someone! :)
A beautiful summary - I'll be sending my clients here!
I'm delighted you found it helpful. Thank you!🙌

I am struggling with creating the hubs/dashboards in a useful way. Do you have some videos to reccommend for showing this step by step?
