This video has been so helpful to me as a new Notion user! You have a way of showing exactly what I've been wanting to know while also removing the overwhelm from it! I have a master task list but didn't know I could create the categories at the top as a way to filter them by "home" "personal" etc. Thank you!
I appreciate your videos so much! The way you show us how to do things without treating us like we are dumb is great! I also really appreciate that you show us HOW you use Notion, not just all the things it can do. Seeing a real life, use case and walkthrough is so helpful!
I'm so glad to hear this! I don't think that anyone should feel less than for not knowing how to do something, and creating confidence in what you can do is my goal. Hearing that is coming through in the videos means a lot. Thank you!
Love this! I consider myself an advanced notion user. However, it is so easy to get carried away to the point of overwhelm. So I don’t use it like I want to. This has inspired me to streamline or pare it down to the essentials. Hide away some of the complexity and start using it fresh. Thank you!
It is SO easy. Just yesterday I was staring at my screen wondering what I had gotten myself into while building a brand new time tracking database. 🤣 I'm so glad you enjoyed the video!
I think I would start with something like August Bradley's Life Operating System, but at the Guiding Principles level and work my way down to Task Level. You are right about energy level. It comes to motivation against typical procrastinating tendencies. Thanks
Wow I just found time to watch this video, great job. But I'm more confused, I got your sprint goal planner and I have your master task list. Your goal planner has its own task list, so which task list do I use? I'll ask it in Nerdy too, Thanks
The goal planner list is a master task list specific to your sprint goal. But your master list is for everything you need to do across your tasks, not just your sprint. Glad you enjoyed!
Hi! thank you for the video! I have a question about the personal dashboard's task list - will the tasks that are not assigned to today, but are scheduled this week (I sometimes do start date/end date for tasks) also show up there?
Hi! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. You can definitely have that week's tasks show up on your dashboard! I've given a more comprehensive walk through of how my own dashboard is structured in this video, if you're interested, as well: ruclips.net/video/viJX4V4fSRE/видео.html
Hi Tessa, while I don't currently have a tutorial specifically for the "my life" area in my dashboard, I've done a video about what I would do first to set up Notion if I was starting over. You can see that here: ruclips.net/video/OogTshfJ3BI/видео.html Additoinally, here is a playlist of all my builds and you can see how I set things up there. ruclips.net/p/PL8YqphTWJYD07WomfNk2U8RHM5XiLGtko Also, I have a dedicated group on Circle and a Notion Anatomy class that walks you through the basics to get set up. If you are interested, you can check out the course or my other premium templates which also give you access to my circle group here: kbcreativeshop.com/products/notion-anatomy-beginner-building-blocks Hope that helps!

Oh, I LOVE hearing this! So glad that you were able to create categories. They help A LOT!

Discovered your channel while starting on Notion, the must useful info I found so far, also LOVE the aesthetic of your notion. Thanks for sharing 💕
Thank you for your kind words! So glad you're here and I appreciate you!
This is great! I've been playing with Notion in Fits and starts, and this helps me refresh my memory on what things to do first :)
It’s so easy to get overwhelmed with this app! I’m glad this video provided some clarity for you. 😍

I need to dive deeper into his system to fully understand it. I know a lot of people love his approach! So glad you enjoyed the video. 😍
Thank you so much!!
You are so welcome! Thank you for being here. :)

Where is the link to the master to do list template? I can't seem to find it.
I'm so sorry about that! Here you go: kalynbrooke.com/master-task-list-opt-in/
Do you keep your work tasks on your master list and just label them? @@KalynBrookeCo
