Update and a Redaction: Turns out RAD did offer an RMA 2 days ago and I didn’t read the email all the way through… when my eyes got to the part of the RAD Support manager asking for a Serial # they already had - I read no farther. He included an RMA address - I thought it was his email signature and I read no farther. So I redact anywhere I said they won’t help … but only as of the 24th… the first time range… is still weeks of nothing happening. Anytime after the 24th if I say RAD wont help - that was a false statement. So RAD did offer to help on the 24th - offering an RMA - but only if I pull these videos down. My issue with that is … I only started to receive help because of the videos seemingly… so that’s a bit of a pickle… I get help because of the videos but they want the video to be pulled down? What a customer experience I am having with Heritage Audio and Rad Distribution.
@@RealHomeRecording I've got it into an Electrical person right now... he's never used this preamp before but there is hope. And if he cannot fix it... I have 3 other people lined up right after him. So it could take a while but what else can I do. RAD offered and RMA - but only after I started posting videos so if HA and RAD don't care, and obviously they don't - I'm not going to risk sending it to them.
Yep. I would have at least appreciated a - 'We can't or don't want to help you'. The stupid thing is still broken. The WORST money I have ever spent on my music gear.
That reissue Fairchild is actually from Telefunken.. the mic company.. They got the license to the name from Waves lol... So yea, that price is bulls***
@@GremFandango There are guys in GearSpace - same problems. Same story but from around 2018. I will NOT be buying the Grandchild or anything else from them - they simply don't stand behind their own products.
Was about to buy a 670 grandchild but if thats how they help Canadians feck it
Yep, never again .

@@QuestForGear cool!
That's insane, that they only will help if you pull down the videos.
