Thanks a ton Big B. lots of great info for sure. I think you'll like that 1820 for the speed run on the OXI Rigger!!!!!! I just picked up my first SMC 5300 SRD Pack and cant wait to send it this weekend in my 33fe !!!! I'm gonna go over to OSE and pick me up a 1817 23 50 and give that a shot. Thank again.
Hey Big B nice prop selection. You should give Dasboata props a shot. He tunes the props to new levels. He is the guy alot of racers go to to get the max out of there props.
We had three props for our Yamaha powered hydrostream. 30 pitch 105mph all day. 19 pitch, the boat would jump out of the water. 23 pitch was good all around pitch for choppy water.
Dam bro those are some nice looking props for sure ! Pretty keen to see what behavior they gonna have on the Dom and the Delta force . Have fun Bro and thanks for sharing!
That was a brilliant walk through man!! Thank you, learnt heaps on this one..cant get alot of ABC here is Oz, especially that nice 3 blade. Jumped on OSE.. got one coming now!👍🏻
Great vid showin those props! Yeah, what do you do when one blade is different? How can you tell if you're making them all the same? A slight difference would show up running at 50k rpm.
I use my gut most of the time, along with a prop balancer. I'll feel the thickness with my fingers, very carefully match up the thickness. Then I use modeling clay to get the blade shape and size imprint the blade onto the modeling clay
Bro im loving your vids...but I need help if you can....im getting the tfl Zonda and I have many 4wheels vehicles this will be my 1st boat I like going for speed...but I will watch your previous vids on the Z...just in the future I will have questions for you please 🙏 and thank you 😊
It's a shame that guys who run the smaller stuff (like me) don't have the wide selection of props the "Big" guys do. Between ABC, Octura, Prather, and all the CNC props from China, the choices are staggering. Finding the "ONE" prop for a hull could be a never-ending process. I'm looking at my little twin micro cat and there's only one available prop choice; take it or leave it.
What about the 1214 15 .60 abc they have ccw cw rotation available Basically 30- 36mm www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=abc-XXXX-15-60(3)CLL www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=abc-XXXX-15-60(3)CLR. Also www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=abc-XXXX-15-60(3)CLR
Man, there are a lot more types then i can get. But ordered some to try, aspecially the 3blade has my interest. I personally think Octura X-serie serie is a good allround prop, also easier to work on. But ABC are bit faster (also more load) in the ones i've got. Didn't even know there were so many abc types, so there probably are prop types that will come closer to eachother, because i bought most off the time different types to see what difference was... So again, this was very interesting...
Thanks, glad I could help, I can't wait to try that 1817 (3) on my dominator hopefully it doesn't torque Roll and chine walk to much with the high rake acting like a paddle wheel? Those 19 rake .38 bar props may be good on a mon hull too ( 1619 & 1719) low blade area....
@@IRONCLADRC ordered the 3 blade, a 1817 and 1916 (or 17). I already had the 1816 but made it smaller since my previous setup didn't like it. I'm indeed very interested to see how the dom will handle that prop because off the reasons you mentioned. But then again, have few cats, and bigger mono laying around that need to be finished so there always will be a purpose for it. Also remember i had a Octura 642 (or 43mm) 3blade which ran pretty nice (good acceleration and speed) on one off my mono's, so thought might be a good idea to try a bigger abc from a type that is totally unformiliar to me... But that reduced blade area definitely makes sense to me, so i just NEEDED to order one...😁
Hi! I just received a couple of ABC-props from OSE. I understand they have beryllium in them. What precautions do you take when working on them? Regards from Norway🙂
Wear a 3 layer minimum medical mask. a respirator style mask would give you better protection. I do my prop prep filing and sanding outside in my garage, becaus I have 3 kids in my house hold
Hey ironclad, I’m looking for a intermediate rc boat, $700 price range, I want to go fast, I recently owned a sonicwake v2 but had to return it do to a overheating problem, I’ve looked into the zonda but I’m just not sure about it, I don’t like the fact that u have to tape the hatch on, understand its a speed run boat but it just worries me, I’ve been looking at some different pro-boats but I’ve heard some bad things about them like overheating. Open to suggestions, thanks!
If you wanna go fast the oxidigger is hard to beat! But you'll need hatch tape and alot of it. The impulse & blackjack 42 are both fast boats but not that great for intermediate users The blackjack 24 and recoil 2 are great entry level boat that you can grow into, upgrade for speed using cheap electronics and props
@@IRONCLADRC looking for something I can do a few speed passes with and then it cool Off. So you think the 1817 45 for that? Gonna be on 6s with that motor and esc as well
Yea, 1817.. on my 33" dominator with a 2080kv 6s I'm getting 85mph with a 1916 haven't tried an 1817 yet but I'm thinking I'd get around the same speed. 1817 17.45 is a great prop.
@palehorse7377 out of the props I have tried it seems to work the best for me low amount of torque twist. My experience is with a 24 inch fiberglass tunnel hull with a tfl scale electric outboard

Thanks for sharing Big B 😎 i hope ABC do some 3/16 in future as i don’t like the adapter 😅 you should try some Doctorprop props for us Big B 🙏
All the abc props in this video were 3/16 bore, there are a few 1/8 bore 3 blade props available
@@IRONCLADRC oooooh I thought… ok i check this out
Nice prop, I'm looking forward to that prop being available here in our country.😊
Great info, like always! Thanks!
Thanks for the excellent prop review how many of the abc props have you come across with the hubs not centered properly
I'd say 1 out of 10 had a bad hub
Hi iron clad please can you help to choose a prop for rc fishing boat .lenght 87 cm . Weight : 5kg.
Motor is 24v brushed .thanks

@IRONCLADRC good idea with modeling clay. I used to do that on my job but didn't think of it for prop

@@IRONCLADRC thanks just messaged.
What prop would you recommend on a 36 inch mono with a SSS 4092 2140KV motor with a ZTW 200amp esc?
For speed? 1916 17 .45 (2) or 1816/1817 17 .45. That 1916 may be big for the 2140kv 48mm prop, maybe one hitter quite prop if you know what I mean 😜

Heck yea, I think you'll like that prop!
I have a plastic prop what prop should i get its 35mm. Its a tunnel hull f1 boat
I run a octura v937 on my small tunnel hull outbard

I know right. I learned my lesson with the ul19 running abc props at the park pond. I don't run my good ones there anymore lol
