It's funny really when you think that all the actors are just sat or stood up reading their lines off a script. And all sounds in the background are just over dubs from a machine, and the whole play is done in one room. Such is their acting ability that you forget all that and imagine it as being real. :)
Slight spoiler 🚨 The themes of sexism, ageism and misogyny within the police force runs strongly in this one. From the comments on how unattractive and too old the female victim was, to commenting on the size of the vicar's daughter's chest. Interesting to listen to this nowadays.
This play is certainly of its time - using old-fashioned words like "asylum" and "insane." Not appropriate in today's world and a way of stigmatising those with mental health problems.

It was a time when truth was clearly in evidence everywhere unlike the constant politically correct rubbish we suffer today.

Hahaha, you snowflake. What's wrong with these words?
From the days of honesty and integrity and so when a "spade was a spade". Heart warming to hear un-manipulated English. 🎉
@@judiththomas9995 - I'm not sure about integrity.
I really dislike the AI generated illustrations. They are too awful, weird and inhuman.
