Thanks for filming such a good thunderstorm! Lightning is no joke, though. It's dangerous.

Living now on the W Coast, I miss them.
If they showed up late at night when I lived in the mid-west as a youth, I'd toss an air-mattress on the floor of the garage and open the garage door far enough to see what was happening, but not enough to get soaked.
And wake up the next morning, having fallen asleep during the storm...

fantastically done my friend, brilliant thunderstorm. Where I live we might get a little grumble and the odd flash of lightening but that's about it. I really enjoyed watching your video, please do some more.

I love lightning too especially if they hit the ground not near us but a little further I also love it when outside as long as I don’t get strike and the lightning sounds like an explosions, and I like it when the lightning hits brighter and louder. If you wear headphones and ear pods or some other headset, it will sound like real lightning like I have. We used to have a windstorm I can’t remember when, but the windstorm was a hurricane in Auckland New Zealand 🇳🇿 the windstorm was the worst that we had a power cut by it and also no electricity, after a while the power turned back on. That’s my story.

Commenting 9/29/18 630am EDT.... THIS is the very kind of a real awesomed Tstorm-video that all all Tstorm-enthrallists' doctors would RX to many out there...as this amazing Tstorm you got here...the many CGs/ICs ..constant flashers/thunder...((some real loud))...was a day after my own big 7/1/12-Tstorm..which I also videotaped and uploaded....just days after the severe derechoes of 6/29/12 that slammed thru many MidWest states and even Wash DC.....Not sure if you still get RUclips notifications...but this year..I had few moderate Tstorms...but last year, on 7/13/17..I got an extremely closeby lightning strike on my 12-minute video..huge thundercrash....well worth viewing.

Commenting 1/18/20..at 645am EDT..Amazing on the tons of lightning including those mouthwatering CG-bolts everywhere....and thunder..of which I am also currently putting this right onto audio cassette so I can listen to the nice nice thunder while working on my comics....BTW..I am now the 51263-rd viewer of this amazing video..and on 2/25/85..I met a gorgeous girl name Lisa....from Denver CO way down in Ixtapa, Mexico... born on...5/12/63..and she too had a lot of lightning...cool, eh??..From now almost 35 years ago.....can't believe it's been that long already......before the price of those huge camcorders came way down and long before the wonderful advent of RUclips...20 years later.

It's hard to believe that a lightning bolt is 5 times hotter than the surface of the sun. Of course, a lightning bolt only lasts for a second or two while the sun has been around for billions of years. Still! Awesome video, BTW!!

I don't think Thunderstorms in the Northeast can compare to those down South - esp. KY & TN & TX? I've been in a few "Supercell" Storms down in Texas where a few of my CRAZY Texan Friends think NOTHING of these Storms!?

logic would tell a person too go inside when the thunder and lightning are that bad but I guess people have nothing better too do. i don't have any sympathy for people that make stupid decisions like that.
