Thank you for the English version! Your English is very good and I was impressed by your explanation of the optical illusion of the watch size. Also thanks for the lume shot. That's important. I wish you had given them a bit of a blast with the flashlight first so that the lume differences were more obvious. I like the 50 more but I have to say I'm really disappointed with the lume on the 50. Why does only the 6 have lume?
Should have known my boy Virtu would be into cool watches.. if I could pick one RUclips content creator to spend a day with it would be him, hands down.
I don't know mate, already bought PRW-60 after watched your other video, and happy with it. Now that you rolled out this new video, I might have to buy this one haha
Not putting loom on the prw-50 series numerals is a sham. I think they did that on every version and that's the reason I've never purchased one despite having a nice sized protrek collection, How well you can read a watch at night is very important to me. Its why I still have some time indeglo watches in my collection. IMO casio should have loomed the numerals and saved money else where like axe the cion edge bezzel. Heck increase the MSRP if you have to. The ability to be able to read the time at night in a field watch like these is just to important.
they can make illumination much better, you can remove LED resistor and it will make UV LED much brighter, just jump the bridge instead after you remove the resistor
Nice watches!!! I seriously thought in the thumbnail the watch hands were shaped as knife blades!! That would have been a nice touch!! I've been wearing a Casio Gshock rangeman for three years straight, love the range an watch but after three straight years its starting to feel way to big on my smaller wrist... Been looking for something new
I love these Protreks, I’ve been looking at these two models for a long time. I prefer the smaller Casios much more. Unfortunately the price is still too dear for me in Australia about $550-$600 AUD. Do you really find the ABC features useful? I currently wear a G shock GSTS330AC3A and it is the best looking G shock I have found in Solar with 200m and smaller size but it has no ABC features. The price was better at $300 so I might just stay with it. 😊
I do use the barometer occasionally to get a sense of the weather, and the compass a few times as well. Haven't had a need for the altimeter yet. But the ABC's are just nice-to-have for me, I'd gotten the titanium strapped PRW60T-7ACR version for other reasons. They're great watches if you find one at a price you like - FWIW it looks like there's been a version update on the Casio site, so that prior generation may be on discounted somewhere.
Nice watches, but too much plastic for my liking. I prefer Casio Lineage LCW-M300D-1AJF it is atomic solar powered and has 2 displays, brighter phosphorescence, very bright orange light, all stainless steel, looks like Breitling, and $150 cheaper than PROTEK... the only feature it is missing is the compass unfortunately.
Owner of white PRW50. Bearing sensor in these are great and not easily disturbed by objects and nearby weak magnetics, however, it is 2-D and requires you to hold the watch really level. Declination of just 10 degrees or so off plane, and it will start to go completely wrong.
Thx for showing night illumination, for me 50 much better cleartivity in the night

Hey hi, what are you recommend for the ultimate survival watch?
I recommend CASIO PROTREK PRW-7000 for a real survival situation. It looks way tougher than PRW-50 or 60.
Nice
