Rubén Blades en los coros !!! Lou, hope you rest in peace, you are the best !! Thanks for all the music you´ve done. Decades listening to your music, the sooundtrack of my life !!
I was staring through a telescope at night At a large light in the sky Its spinning lights reminded me of you A star spinning in orbit Lighting up the sky Or maybe it was not a star at all I was standing by the hudson river's edge at night Looking out across the Jersey shore At a neon light spelling out some cola's name And I thought your name should be dancing Beamed from satellites Larger than any billboard in Time's Square Tell it to your heart, please don't be afraid I'm the one who loves you in each and every way Tell it to your heart, please don't be afraid N.Y.C. lovers Tell it to your heart (Tell it to your heart, please don't be afraid Tell it to your heart) (Tell it to your heart, please don't be afraid Tell it to your heart) I'm on the roof, it's 5 a.m. I guess I couldn't sleep And I see this spinning light that I saw last week Maybe I should wake you up But by then it might be gone You never know what you see when if you look up in the sky I ran outside down a darkened street Listening to my boot heels click My leather jacket squeaked I needed a cigarette When I turned the corner My spinning light was in the street They were filming a commercial on T.V. Tell it to your heart, please don't be afraid We're no teenage movie that ends in tragedy Tell it to your heart, please don't be afraid N.Y.C. lovers Tell it to your heart [Repeat x 3] (Tell it to your heart, please don't be afraid Tell it to your heart) [Repeat x 2]
and rightly so...it was poor and a huge let down...sorry...just an opinion...I love Lou Reed but this album was just mediocre and not up to his high standards.
It almost makes up for it. The guitar riff is very close to Think It Over on Growing Up In Public. Another mediocre LR output. Along with The Bells those three albums are his worst. But it's Lou, I still miss and love him. RIP.
Hell of a songwriter. Classic tune, in all its 80s cheesy-as-hell-production glory
Lou was so talented and his music and lyrics a cut above most.
Miss Lou!
Lou returns to the sweetness of 'Doo-wop', his first musical love.
Lou loved this song!
what cheap pop songs did he like
NYC = Louuuuuuuuuuuuuuu🖤
Seriuosly underappreciated piece of music.

this song is absolute LOU , pure Lou Reed
I was staring through a telescope at night
At a large light in the sky
Its spinning lights reminded me of you
A star spinning in orbit
Lighting up the sky
Or maybe it was not a star at all
I was standing by the hudson river's edge at night
Looking out across the Jersey shore
At a neon light spelling out some cola's name
And I thought your name should be dancing
Beamed from satellites
Larger than any billboard in Time's Square
Tell it to your heart, please don't be afraid
I'm the one who loves you in each and every way
Tell it to your heart, please don't be afraid
N.Y.C. lovers
Tell it to your heart
(Tell it to your heart, please don't be afraid
Tell it to your heart)
(Tell it to your heart, please don't be afraid
Tell it to your heart)
I'm on the roof, it's 5 a.m.
I guess I couldn't sleep
And I see this spinning light that I saw last week
Maybe I should wake you up
But by then it might be gone
You never know what you see when if you look up in the sky
I ran outside down a darkened street
Listening to my boot heels click
My leather jacket squeaked I needed a cigarette
When I turned the corner
My spinning light was in the street
They were filming a commercial on T.V.
Tell it to your heart, please don't be afraid
We're no teenage movie that ends in tragedy
Tell it to your heart, please don't be afraid
N.Y.C. lovers
Tell it to your heart [Repeat x 3]
(Tell it to your heart, please don't be afraid
Tell it to your heart)
[Repeat x 2]

Wunderbar
One of the best records of Lou Reed, destroyed by the critics when the album appeared
I totally agree
and rightly so...it was poor and a huge let down...sorry...just an opinion...I love Lou Reed but this album was just mediocre and not up to his high standards.
Critics hate everything.
@@thomasandersen6719It's better than "The Bells".

🖤
only a true New Yorker could write a song like this. Lou is the sidewalk.
Your name should be dAZZling
Beamed from Satellite
Larger than any Billboard
Stuck in time square
Tell it to your heart
Discovery Zone did a great cover. Check it out!! ✨ 🌙 💫
New York City love us.
soojubm *lovers
An awful record but with this lovely song.
It almost makes up for it. The guitar riff is very close to Think It Over on Growing Up In Public. Another mediocre LR output. Along with The Bells those three albums are his worst. But it's Lou, I still miss and love him. RIP.
