Find something that 1) you are passionate about because you will be "living" with it for quite a while and 2) find something that will make a difference to others. Good luck!
Thank you. I would argue that this is THE most import aspect of research because of its foundational nature. If things go awry at this stage, bad research is likely to follow.

Do you find that in order for the topic to be accepted the literature must say there is a specific need for it to be researched?
No, that is not required! I suggest watching our video on the problem space to get a better idea about this.
