We're having an issue placing the back middle support rod with the extension because it seems like the two flanges are blocking each other from fitting the wall panels together smoothly, any tip there?
This have got to be the best step by step detail video on RUclips Thanks. By Qustion is how did you guys Bolt it down to the ground? And how have it been holding up so far?
Thank you. We set the wooden frame into the dirt and after leveling added dirt to keep it secure. The bottom of the shed is screwed into the wood. It's holding up without any problems except the door needs to tied to the other to keep it closed.
We just built the same shed, thanks for the video it helped a lot. Used soap spray in roof panels. My floor was made of rough 2x6 and some were an 1/8 diff, and it coincided with the seem which did not help, so starting with a dead flat floor +- 1/16 is best, although we shimmed and made it work. Two floor panels were missing, luckily home depot had two more in stock and we took the panels from one of their other sets for the missing parts. I was so happy to buy 100% American and so disappointed they did not count floor panels correctly, maybe it was Covid but still, damn.
Hey buddy, kick ass video bro. So I have one of these that came with the house I got. I wanna make it a cool ice fishing house. How much does this thing weigh without the wood sub floor? Just the shed and that black snap together floor.
I used this vid to help me build it about 3 months ago. Weve have some heavy wind and rain where im at. Also a small tree limb fell on it. This thing hasnt taken any damage and is durable. Just some advice though, if you put it in an area near where water can collect such as a drain from a sump pump you may want to put some ant traps at each corner of the shed.
I was just looking at this shed and glad I found your video. Still not sure what I want yet. Granted, if I had $3-4K I would go with a solid wood shed that will stand up to hurricane winds (live in FL). But for the budget pocketbook this may have to do.
Thanks for posting. I think I will go with a regular wood framed unit, since I will be storing a riding lawn mower in it. your vid was just what I needed, thanks!
Bear, Loved the part where you pointed out that one part had two part numbers! Very funny! Question! Can the walls be mounted directly into a concrete floor without having to use the floor that comes with the kit? Thanks!
Thanks! I would say no on the mounting into concrete. The plastic that sticks out is not very long or strong for that matter. When connecting to all the pieces they become more rigid but trying to put it together in wet concrete while trying to keep them rigid would be difficult.
If you live in high wind or snowfall area like the northeast these bars will collapse. If it snows by you be prepared to clean the snow off the roof at least twice a day.
This thing was a pain to set up! 😪 lol … and it’s also feels flimsy compared to a smaller 7x4 Rubbermaid shed o have. Specially on the floor pieces xx these are reallly thin compared to Rubbermaid’s.. hopefully it holds up a long time. I think it will! Have you found any shelving for this shed? Or hooks for like shovels and rakes n what not ? I haven’t so I think I’m going to make my own set up out of wood idk .. btw this shed is $900 in tax as of now .. and it’s not available at any Home Depot’s is in the Houston area .. picked my up from a Home Depot in San Antonio .. still slcheaper than other 8x10
Can you tell me the exact size (length and width) of the plywood subfloor you built? I'd like to build this before the shed is delivered. Looks like it might be 10'-0" x about 8'-4" - that would leave 4" in front of the doors to protect the threshold. Seems like about what you did. Thanks
I know the RUclips algorithm requires a subscribe, like and comment to actually help you so I’m doing all 3. Really appreciate your video it got me through there being no instructions and the couple of confusing parts. Also I got 3 left gables and one right unfortunately so I had to fabricate a second right gable unfortunately. A bit of a pain.
Mine lasted about 8 years before cracking, warranty is good for 10 so got it (skylight, not the whole shed) replaced for free. I'm on my 12th year now, overall very happy with this. I think I paid 699 back when I bought mine. Stood up to high winds and 20+ inches of snow, though I wouldn't recommend leaving the snow there for long.
i always want to hav a shed. ive been seeing this shed at home depots parking lot. i didnt realize its this hard to install one. i dont have a tractor. my backyards not level. is there any shed thats easy to do?
Do you remember the package dimensions? I need to drive 50 miles to pick this one up ... just wanted to see if my Odyssey is big enough. Thanks in advance.
Don't remember exactly but I do remember that I had to cram it into an Escalade ESV. The height of the 3 boxes was close. I think the HD website probably has dimensions on it.
@@BearsWorkshop FYI... it fit in my 2014 Odyssey with few centimeters to spare. Just wanted to Thank you for posting this video with detailed steps/instructions. My 8yr old son and I had fun time building it up, referring to your video along the way (for project planning for the day :) ).
Many parts of the video show the inside haha. Not to mention it’s a video on how to install the shed. You’re not very smart the inside is shown numerous times lol. What exactly were you even looking for it’s a plastic box?

It's always good to have help..I assemble stuff all the time and a extra hand makes all the difference. Good vid.
I am so glad my husband and I watched your video! It was very helpful and candid exactly where it needed to be!
Like your boots...
Thank you for sharing your experience and craftsmanship...
Thank you for this video!! I especially enjoyed the slave labor part. Too funny!! 😂👍🏽
Where do you buy sky light repair parts. Tabs are cheap and broken
Thank youuuuuu ! Saved me multiple headaches !
You're welcome!
Awesome build!

Wow! Pretty expensive for plastic. Thanks for the tutorial!
how has it held up in the wind, how heavy winds do you usually get where you are at? Thanks
I wonder if this shed is sturdy enough to survive hurricane season!
Hmmm...doubtful. Hurricanes can take out a lot more than a shed.
Why did you put dirt in between the boards for the foundation?

I like your common sense approach
Can't get the floor to lock in together. Been trying with my dad and stepmom for 3 days. Any tips?
My guess is the the floor panels aren’t square.
@@BearsWorkshop After spending about an hour scouring it, there was plastic preventing it from going through on one of them.
@@phantomxjedi Glad you were able to get it fixed!

Can i build this over pavers rather than wood base?
ILove your shed house .
Great instructive video! I believe those weird plastic screws are for covering the shelving holes.
Thanks. Glad it helped.

It works on a budget but not for a hurricane.

Do the sheds condensate like like tin sheds
I couldn't tell you. We are typically at 15% humidity here.
Well done.
will this Shed Package fit in SUV?

That is correct.
Would it be possible to assemble the roof and than add it to the shed ? Where I want this shed to be one side of the shed is against the wall.
It would be very difficult. I would suggest assembling it away from the wall then sliding it over. It was what we had to do.

Can I install a mini split on it without any problem?
Well it's not insulated and I am not sure the walls are strong enough to hold that up.
The bad thing about this shed is that full length skylight drys out a cracks off in about 2 years while the rest of the shed is fine??
Well I hope it doesn't. But it is possible that can happen. I am in a perfect spot to test it out.

Hey cool thinking of doing this on my yard cool video how long do you think it will take in general? How’s it holding up?
It's holding up good. The doors need to be held together with a lock or they can blow open but otherwise pretty good.
You can do it in a day with a buddy, 2 days if you finish the beer on the first day.
I do not see this shed on Home Depot, maybe they stopped selling it? Or I am just missing it? You don't have a link do you?
The link is in the description. www.homedepot.com/p/US-Leisure-10-ft-x-8-ft-Keter-Stronghold-Resin-Storage-Shed-157479/100652232?NCNI-5

Ilike watching how you work
Great !!! very helpful :)
Glad it was helpful!
What I actually learned from the video is to not waste good money on a plastic box.
How long did it take overall to assemble?
I have a plastic shed similar to this and it took about a day
You put the latch backwards
how is it on storms?
It survived a windstorm earlier this year that took down my Shelterlogic Garage in a Box.
What was the final cost ?
About $800 for the shed and the wood, at the time it was done. Would probably be more now with prices going up.
Thanks for posting
How much you charge to install this shed
If I was installing for someone I probably would have charged $400-$500 plus materials for the base.
can you installations
How much?
This was about $800.
Why do you have prison walls surrounding your yard?
So the hostages don't get out.
Lol
Talk to much…..
I know how it looks from the outside i wanted to see the inside i just wasted 20 minutes of my life
