Atlantis was originally supposed to be found in Antarctica in the movie that became the Lost City Two-parter and it would've replaced the SGC as the main base but they decided to move it to another galaxy which i think was a wise choice.
It is, as the Ancient City Ships did not have a huge stockpile of weapons. They relied mostly on their powerful shields to ward off attacks, especially by the Wraith. It was the Atlantis Expedition that made it far more heavily armed and sporting turrets in the building areas. After that, it was a far more powerful and dangerous opponent. The Ancients never thought of these ideas and it was their descendants the Tau'Ri that got the most out of them.
Stargate TV series made use of a lot physical sets for most of the show. They didn't try to bombard the audience with too much CGI. It was only used when it was important to the story.
must say as a huge stargate fan knowing exactly what clips are from what episodes I must say you did a great job in editing it together not to mention you made the prometheus a power house against those ha tak and atlantis was not expected at all just well done great job
I agree. Good job,but a bit of an error. Colonel O'neill was the 302 pilot that went into space. One scene he was in the cargo ship being transported via the rings down the ice. Into the ancient weapons platform.
Nice edit. I've always loved that episode; I think the original visuals for the Battle of Antarctica are hands-down the most thrilling of the entire show.

Damn, here i was thinking slapped together fan video which might be ok. But no, i just viewed pure awesomeness, great editing to put together a GREAT alternate story, had me hooked, and then the ending was right out of left field. Well Done Dude, seriously awesome effort.
At the moment, Stargate Universe is in Atlantis in both realities. This explains why in episode SG-1 "1969" Cassandra met them in a canned SGC. I don't know if they planned it or not, but it coincides.
to me it appeared they were expecting SG1 so they covered up all the newer tech for their time and Cassandra obviously had a high ranking place or position of respect in the SGC. Note that the ring she uses was very much a technological version of the Noxx's abilites to open and close Stargates at will.
Honestly, with the way things were going, they'd probably came up with a better way to travel to other planets by that point. Maybe something along the lines of what the Iconians had in Star Trek? I mean, there was the quantum mirror. They claimed it was destroyed, and of course we never see it again, but who is to say that ultimately, it was transferred elsewhere, and decommissioned, and then studied? Perhaps their ships gained something faster than hyper drive, to where getting to planets took no time at all? Just really hard to say, ultimately, why the SGC was shuttered at that point.
@@tifreak8x Well, I don't think they would have found anything that would be better than the instantaneous travel of the Stargate itself. Given some of the information Brad Wright has mentioned about a possible New Stargate show, everything was likely shut down because they revealed the gate to the public, and were in the middle of decommissioning the base to move the gate to a more public and manageable place.
Shame never saw earth build their own version of a alkesh size ship based mostly of goald technology.well armed ship but something you can build on regular basis fairly quick imagine USA having 6 bc 304s and 20 Al kesh sized ships less powerful but gives you ability to do more a frigate if you will.

In fact a great idea if that scene had been done more STAR WARS - alike but I guess that had a juristical aftermath because of copyright violations. ( " STEALING " an original concept )
This is awesomely very well done, I always loved the shows. However as much as i loved them it always frustrated me that they left far too many gaping holes in the storyline.
Stargate became Space Above & Beyond? Thought Stargate is about Macgyver led his group of marines to other planets through the space portal took place in late 90's or early 2000. Why are they flying hammerheads space superiority fighters and manning spaceships?
@@martintaichl this series was not aired in my country. How did they end up becoming space marines like Space Above & Beyond flying fighters and spaceships?
See the funny thing is is people watch these TV shows as entertainment but what they don't understand is most of the programming and scenes in movies are actually showing you real technology and real offense and real things that have took place in the past or what the government has behind closed doors the war in Antarctica what was Operation Highjump Admiral Byrd which was a fleet of Warships and aircraft carriers that encountered different ships and had a battle so this isn't too far from the truth
There was an episode of SG1 where an alien guy had his memory erased by his fellow aliens and he was living on earth working in tv; and he created a tv show called “Wormhole Extreme” which paralleled the “reality” of the Stargate Program. When the members of SG1 are reviewing the info of the tv show, Carter asks why the Air Force would allow the tv show to continue, and Jackson states that it provides a plausibly deniable cover for the reality of the Stargate Program. Is this a case of art imitating art imitating reality? Could SG1 do the same thing in our reality that Wormhole Extreme did in the tv show? Gotta wonder?

I really LOVE this Series... Stargate SG-1, 7th Season finale. Thought food. ;-)
Gotta love Anubis' prime. Always so dramatic.
Bravo! Very well done. Indeed.
thanks ;)
The music is not the original one. This music is bloody and 10 times too loud.
You mixed scenes from Start gat Atlantis & SG!
In fact a great idea if that scene had been done more STAR WARS - alike but I guess that had a juristical aftermath because of copyright violations. ( " STEALING " an original concept )
Very well done!
thanks
If you do away with the loud music, you might be able to actually hear what is being said.
It covers the original music from the scenes. If there weren't music added, audio transition between the scenes would sound strange.
Alternate reality. SG-1 clears the way for Atlantis to land on earth.
Now that would be a cool ending
This was awesome....nice
Thanks ;)
Can anyone make sense out of what's going on.
I know all of the film, but theres a lot here I've never seen before, is this cutting room floor stuff, or did you create it... if you did well done..
No it is just SG stuff ;)
Funny how when your left thruster is hit but your right thruster is on fire.
Dad's favorite before he passed.
This is awesomely very well done, I always loved the shows. However as much as i loved them it always frustrated me that they left far too many gaping holes in the storyline.
Such as?
lol you mean Operation High Jump 1946?
that tv serie was just wow
Awesome!
WOW this is so original... Sike... Complete STAR WARS bite!!

Stargate became Space Above & Beyond? Thought Stargate is about Macgyver led his group of marines to other planets through the space portal took place in late 90's or early 2000. Why are they flying hammerheads space superiority fighters and manning spaceships?
Watch it and you'll know 😉
@@martintaichl this series was not aired in my country. How did they end up becoming space marines like Space Above & Beyond flying fighters and spaceships?
@@jawarakf by aquiring and understanding alien tech....
By the end of the series, we practically became the most powerfull world in the galaxy
@@martintaichl thanks for the info, I was searching for Wikipedia and RUclips for this
Ini film apa, ya?
So satisfying.
Thanks ;)
Wat the hell was that crud???
Would not surprise me one bit.
Surely
Butiful and very nice
thank you ;)
