Have you used the MPX2 for hip hop male vocals? I have the WA-2A compressor paired with the WA 1073EQ pre & want to add more character to my vocal chain but not sure if I should go for it, can’t really find videos on mpx2 for hip hop vocals.
Ohhhh yes! Swap the MPX for the 1073 and turn the “tone” switch on! If you want more grit/saturation, also engage the “high gain” switch which will enable 3 additional tubes in the circuit then adjust the preamp gain to taste! Let me know how it works out! I can do a video recording a hip hop vocal with it if you’d like.
