For me, the winner is Azerbaijan.. That song is really great.. Russia and Croatia are also very good, although Croatia didn't qualify into the finals.. Its getting tiring because by now I have seen it compared to songs by Lady Gaga, Rita Ora, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, and the list goes on... Do people really don't know that all pop music is derivative, especially when the same producers/songwriters are involved? What matters to me is that she owns it and the performance is great. Plus the undertones of singing about a toxic relationship and the sudden tempo changes are a great twist on a familiar formula.

Third time in a row Cyprus send the same "shit"; with that I mean same type of song. performed by a good looking female with sexy clothes (2018, 2019, 2021). Cuprys knows that will get them the votes for the final (same as Sweden have done for years).

We can sit here and analyze the chord progression, but at the end of the day, people will still have different perceptions and value different things about each performance, so its ultimately pointless. This semi-final my favourite was definitely Russia, I really hope it does well in the final! when it comes to amnesia i think the biggest factor is she was really anxious and out of breath while singing. off the note sometimes. otherwise it would qualify and be in top10.
To add onto Amnesia topic: Eva Lus To me it positively resonates that Maltese singer is only 18 years old and she vocally nails it, no matter the size of the stage. Maneskin vocalist is also only 22 but his rehearsals are spotless. Thats professionalism. I think there is really not much excuse to be out of tune in a SONG contest. This unfortunately not a pity contest. Roxen will improve her vocals and maybe one day will come back and win it all.

Why do you have to compare “El Diablo” to Lady Gaga all the time? Sure, the melody in the chorus is Gaga-like but would you expect anything else when several of the producers of this song also worked with Lady Gaga? The staging is very innovative and different; it is modern and slick. Would you rather want a picture of the devil in the background and them dancing around to that? I totally respect your opinion but this argument annoys me so much. The only thing people can say is that it is a Fuego 2.0 and a copy of Lady Gaga. It will never be a Fuego 2.0 because “Fuego” will always be a one time iconic entry from Cyprus. This is about the whole package - the staging, the choreo, the attitude and of course the vocals. I also have to be honest and say that yesterday wasn’t Elena’s best vocal performance but she was still so captivating and sensual in her movements that the overall package made it a great performance.

I am glad i am not the only one who thinks Cyprus is overrated, all of my friends who heard it for the first time last night, said it was just a cheap copy of Lady Gaga. It seems like another Tamata as well. I agree with you about Sweden, it was out of tune, i dont say he's a bad singer, but maybe he was nervous or smt, it didnt sound very well. If you are seriously gonna comment on tusse having bad vocals while he just had surgery, at least to the same to Lesley Roy, it was the main reason it feel down so hard
I have to say two things.
I. It is pity that Albina and Roxen did not qualify for the final. What a shame. There were many countries that qualified to the finals, but their songs weren't better than Amnesia or Tick Tock.
II. I understand and agree that everyone has their own opinion and it is good and I can not change it, but the way you express your opinion is so rude as you said for someone of them "they didn't deserve to qualify" or "glad they didn't qualify". Have you ever been to Eurovision and do you know what it means to be there and sing in front of the WHOLE world?
Sorry, but you can not express your opinion so rudely and unkindly as if you do not respect them.

when it comes to amnesia i think the biggest factor is she was really anxious and out of breath while singing. off the note sometimes. otherwise it would qualify and be in top10.

To me it positively resonates that Maltese singer is only 18 years old and she vocally nails it, no matter the size of the stage. Maneskin vocalist is also only 22 but his rehearsals are spotless. Thats professionalism. I think there is really not much excuse to be out of tune in a SONG contest. This unfortunately not a pity contest. Roxen will improve her vocals and maybe one day will come back and win it all.

Why do you have to compare “El Diablo” to Lady Gaga all the time? Sure, the melody in the chorus is Gaga-like but would you expect anything else when several of the producers of this song also worked with Lady Gaga? The staging is very innovative and different; it is modern and slick. Would you rather want a picture of the devil in the background and them dancing around to that? I totally respect your opinion but this argument annoys me so much. The only thing people can say is that it is a Fuego 2.0 and a copy of Lady Gaga. It will never be a Fuego 2.0

This is about the whole package - the staging, the choreo, the attitude and of course the vocals. I also have to be honest and say that yesterday wasn’t Elena’s best vocal performance but she was still so captivating and sensual in her movements that the overall package made it a great performance.
