- The crowd-favorite Elephant Bar Deadlift from 2016 returned this year but with bigger weights lifted and bigger men lifting. Rogue Athlete Brian Shaw took first with an impressive 991 lb. lift, followed by Jerry Pritchett's 986 lb. deadlift. Rogue Athlete Hafthor Bjornsson rounded out the top three with a 966 lb. lift.
When the event concluded, Pritchett asked to attempt a new world-record lift of 1031 lbs., which he accomplished. View that lift here: • 2017 Rogue Record Brea... - Спорт
The first lifter zach did this all at a bodyweight at 235... fucking monster
That fat asian kid Definitely impressed with the lighter guys. I am a big fan of Brian Shaw but for Bjorn "the mountain" I feel he gets more praise than he should because of game of thrones. He's still rediculously strong but the guy is almost 500 lbs and is nearly matched by lighter guys (yes I know his height).
Cykablyat he weighs 397
Honestly even though Zach hadge got destroyed by the other competitors, lifting 816 at 235bw is still a huge feat
"Due to my injury, my deadlift isn't the strongest"
... goes on and tries to deadlift over 900lbs
Damn Brian ! He's been always impressive with his wide-stance deadlift :'D
Huge respect for these monsters.
Shaw is a absolute beast! love that guy an inspiration to all Americans!
NO!
Trump is/should be an inspiration to all americans.
You mean all North Americans?, why not hafthor? And why Shawn can’t be an inspiration to people in my the world?. Stupid statement
@@McShweezy jealous
Dear Rogue Fitness. Please post the weights in metric as well. Sincerely, the majority of the world.
You could also divide by 2.2. Which is how you get pounds from KG.
Dan Agin you get kg from pounds*
You do kg x 2.2 to get pounds. Divide pounds by 2.2 for kg. My bad If I worded it wrong.
Pompomatic No.- Grump cat
Um.
Dude Dimitar looks like his head is just an exposed brain.
it does 😂
i think thats an actual scalp condition.
😂😂😂☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️😂
he looks like brain from the ninja turtles
A brain that can walk with 710 kg on his back and lift you with one arm
Those plates and that rod looks so beautiful and super clean !
One of the dopest videos out there in terms of powerlifting motivation
Awesome stuff see you in Australia guys I'm really looking forward to the Arnold Sports Festival in Melbourne next week.
The editing is so freaking good love it
They should get Kristof Radzikowski to do all the narration because that guy's voice is strong AF.
Love how they saved Brian for last. So cool.
I was pissed that the video didn't show Jerry Pritchett last pull but then I realized you made a second video for it.
Amazing superhuman strength!
All these cool tough sounding guys voices then Brian's Shaw big loveable bear voice come in and just seems so off from the video then he pulls 980lbs or something like that
Imagine hearing Brian on the phone, then meeting him in person after. SURPRISE I'M FUCKING HUGE BITCH
@@VarietyGamerChannel 450 kg
Mr. Shaw is the man💪🏻 truly dedicated to this 💪🏻🙌
With my back injury, just by looking at these men do this it gives me pain shooting up my leg into my spine.
I feel like flexing too watching these kind of videos
Didn't Brian pull 1000+ last year?
I think it was different deadlift. It had tires and was easier.
Simon Jeraj Nope, it was the Rouge Elephant bar, not the Hummer tire deadlift. It's on the Rouge channel, 2016 deadlift event
Yeah but I guess that why its called a PR or world Record because it wont be replicated easily.
Yeap he pulled 1021 last year. But to be fair, last year it was the first event of the contest; this year it was the day after a 1500 lb yolk and 1100 lb frame.
trollforlife Yeah, that's what I figured. General fatigue from the other events probably played a pretty big roll
Damn those are some fresh plates
That last man is a Beast!
3 Years ago people told me that Mark Henry died because of obesity 😂😂😂 but some weeks ago i realised that nope he was fine
He's not strong compared to the white boys, those guys are the strongest humans in history!
Thor henry was natty
That visra
@@fuq1nutube
Lmao no stop it
@@a-a-rondavis9438 look it up
Once I get my black belt in BJJ and am well seasoned in MMA....these guys would still pop my head like a grape.
Yeah, there is simply too much mass to do anything
those are some sexy weights, ... like the chrome metal shine
I wonder if Mark has a one more competition in him. I bet if you gave him a year to prepare, he would be a force to be reckoned with.
nice vid editing
Go, you beast!
Respect
All these guys looking mean as fuck and then there's Brian, the gentle giant.
where can i buy the plates like that
My back almost snapped watching this
those are some fresh ass plates
I think the craziest thing I saw was Jerry Pritchard throwing down 900 lb!!
Just thinking about how it feels like in their shoes, made my eyes teary.

Awesome
Bloatmax. These guys deserve serious credit considering this takes enormous effort and dedication, but they aren't treating their bodies well.
Is Thor gonna compete at Arnold’s 2023 in a few months? Rogue 2023 next fall to give him more me to get his strength up? I’m excited.
Gregor Clegane putting in a that work for the Clegane Brawl
Insane.....
where is Eddie hall?
Mendez ticker i'm thinking the same question
He declined, wants to focus on world's. Z declined because of injuries.
deadlift without hall is like christmas without santa
Mendez ticker Probably at home thinking, I can take on these babies any day.
But these guys are not human
Brian Shaw is like the Michael Phelps of Stength training. No else stands a chance.
He's not
what's nuts if you think about it is how strong these guys fingers have to be!
Epic
good man
Is that a joint tucked behind Brian Shaw's ear at 3:07 ?
smelling salts I believe
k
Damn good eye toke up
Ammonia Inhalant
Chalk or smelling salts to get yourself craazzy
Holy shit Brian!!!!!!
KG!!!!!
half-thor bjornsson the mountain, what a fucking bad ass name.
yeahhh the best
So much hitching. I think all of my lumbar discs blew out while watching this video.
What song did they used for the first part of the video?
What the video doesn't show is Jerry winning with an epic 1031 pull.
Nice
why didn't they post the austrian oak yet
That bar looks horrible with it shaking sideways and up and down. This is why so many failed the lifts and almost could of been injured. I thought that one guy was gonna pop his disc damn near dangerous having a bouncy load on the spine
BroToPro hence the competition. if it's too hard then lift a branch.
Francisco Diaz the comment above isn't about the difficulty of the lift but about the safety of the athletes and the injury risk associated with this particular lift.
A.Z Awan I get it but name a competitive sport that doesn't have any risks or possible injuries. the bar isn't the problem it's the athlete. for instance, just using a regular bar many athletes have suffered bicep tears, so for that instance should athletes use safety handle bars? this sport is not meant for everyone.
i wouldnt say its impossible, but to have ~1000+ lbs on any kind of bar, it will whip no matter what. in order to make a bar to not flex so much, you'd need an axle type bar with an insane diameter, something you can't wraps your hand around. in terms of it oscillating a lot, you need that in a barbell otherwise you'd have an incredibly hard time locking the bar out or you'd lose balance every time. deadlift bars are used regularly in some federations. it just looks like this due to the sheer amount of weight on the bar.
yea, the 950+ lbs wasnt why they failed the lift or anything lol. the bar is part of the challenge, it forces them to use precise and proper technique instead of jerking the weight around.
If trained with Jerry once before and it was amazing but the only way I can train with him again is come in 1st in a leave 2 show
holy shit 991 pounds. i just crossed 100 pounds and i was feeling proud.
What we are really wondering is where can we buy those plates cause damn they're beautiful
Also those clips are sexy
You can’t buy it, not even the athletes are allowed
How aesthetic are those 45’s 😍
was that Mart Seim talking the Hafthor?
991 pounds. Jesus thats impressive.
ruclips.net/video/kXCrQceU3XI/видео.html - watch motivation video with master Mariusz Pudzianowski
Where is Yuriy Belkin?
Why did this video snuff jerry pritchet? He pulled1031 for the record why isnt that in this video
I hope to see squat someday in the Arnold, legs are the half of the body and for me squats are the most important lift.
tuertodsc they are for you because you like them and are probably good at them. Squats are a good indication of strength but deadlifts, bench press and overhead press are better IMO.
They do have squats at the Arnold, just not for strongmen.
Bench press better indication of strength???? LOL
tuertodsc well yeah upperbody strength. You saying like that's not true is like saying squats aren't a good indication of leg strength.
Deadlifts > squats for strength.
Brian saw will start crying then bcoz squat will favour Big Z.
Why Squat needed when there is the Bale Tote?
"due to my injury, deadlift is not my strongest event"
-proceeds to deadlift over 900lbs
why does Brian Shaw have a spliff behind his ear?
cool I found myself in the video
What is that song please, I need it for my training playlist
Know your limits -Frederick kron
What shoes is Mateusz Kieliszkowski wearing?
my back got injured by watching this
I known this is unrelated to the video but didn't leeman pull 900+ pounds for 3 reps in a workout video he did.
the mountain trains hard before heading north
fucking incredible
Eddie Hall is the man when it comes to deluding deadlifting
Too bad Pritchett came back and shat all over that 991 from Shaw.
J. Baird Exactly. That should have been the highlight ending dead. Fucking Rogue riding Shaws dick.
It's cause Brian is sponsored by them you grumpy and salty cat
I don't know why Shaw didn't but he bulls way fucking more than 991 and more than Pritchett.
pritchetts lift is in a separate video. it's a world record so they separated it
Pritchett got an entire video dedicated to his lift.
Monsters
Imagine being the strongest man in the world and having your birth name be Hafthor like he's literally half way to being Thor.
I was waiting for mark henry to lift these weights
So...I wanna do some deadlift tomorrow...
0:32 who else felt that moment💪💪
I warm up with that!
man! is that mark henry
mikhail trying to grind out his attempt is fuckin epic!
song at the start?
these guys lift more than I have in my bank account
I miss licis look at that year 😩
Where is Zydrunas ?
hafthor is next beast
Start music name ?
What plates are they using? I want them.
You can’t
Hafthor and Jerry both pulled nearly 1000 lbs raw easy!
What could Leeman pull with straps for 1? Gotta think over 1050?
Nope
No Edd` or Benni? What`s the point?
i use an eleiko WL compet bar for deadlift...
Did Brian shaw have a joint behind his ear ar 3:09?
He had a pack of sniffing salts - you'll notice a few of the guys sniff a small pack before they go onto lift, it increases blood pressure and heart rate and releases adrenaline so you can lift more
I dont know where the KING OF DEADLIFT is Eddie Hall but i know if he was there he wouldv'e easily won this event over 1,000lbs easy.
He didn’t qualify
