- This video explores the abilities, powers, and origin of the Marvel Comics character "Isca the Unbeaten." From her life on the ancient mutant island Okkara as the sister of Apocalypse's wife Genesis, making Apocalypse's iconic Scarab sword as a gift for him after the birth of his original four children the First Horsemen, becoming somewhat haughty after her mutant ability to never lose has persisted for thousands of years, uncontrollably switching sides various times over the years to always be on a winning team, sparking the notorious split of Okkara island into Arakko island and Krakoa island during the mutant's battle against Annihilation's Amenth army, being a major factor during the "X of Swords" tournament by defeating Captain Britain and every other opponent as one of the "Swordbearers of Arakko," gaining a seat among mutant leadership as part of the "Great Ring of Arakko," philosophical differences with Magneto and Professor X as well as Storm Oro Munroe, to snapping the neck of the powerful mutant named Sunspot after he tricked her power to cause the defeat of her friend "Tarn the Uncaring" at the merciless hands of Magneto; Let's take a look at this intriguing ancient Marvel anti-hero, and the one mutant you always want on your side. Isca has currently realized it’s not her who wins but her powers. The Fisher King challenged her to a game of who understood loss better. She realized what she is and relinquished her seat on the Great Ring
Her power compelling her to join the winning team makes sense why as soon as Thanos' grandfather Uranus showed up on Arrako, she beheaded one of council members. I wonder how her powers fair against someone like Wanda who manipulates probability & reality on an omega scale.🤔

@@coreythomas3633 nah. Sunspot didn't even try that hard to outsmart her & tricked her to bet against her ally resulting in Maneto killing him. There are tricks to backfiring her power. Nightcrawler grabbed her & teleported her away so she couldn't affect the battle outcome

I love Isca the Unbeaten and the whole concept of Apocalypse's 1st and strongest Horsemen being his own wife and children. It just makes absolute sense and 'Spot got what was coming to him, wrong game.

Power of probability that decides the future events and can never lose. Plus, she never lost a fight??? She's op in her own way..... the fact that she diibke cross her sister, and jump back to her side. With no retaliation from Genesis(despite how powerful she is) part is un-ordinary. Her powers are beyond consequences.
Sunspot showed that one can lose through winning. Sunspot pretty much beaten her by outsmarting her.

Does it really count as being "unbeatable" WHEN you have only never lost because you will always jump to the winning side if you were going to lose? If the logic of not having a recorded loss by any possible means counts as being unbeaten for accolades then I guess it would be equally applicable to tout that I am unbeaten in Olympic boxing matches, feudal Japan sword duels, and aircraft dog fights.

That is a character that has lots to be explained. As far as I know, We have not seen her battle against any REAL omega level mutant. We've seen that when facing impossible odds she switches allegiances. Can you see her winning a battle against Legion, Magneto, Jean Grey, Exodus, etc.?
I mean she's kinda trash...someone will appear and save her or she'll get teleported away or something like that. It's like uber Mary Sue vibes I get from her.

I really don't think this character will be used in the future as her powers literally will force her into being only a player that sits on the sidelines as writers wont know what to do with her.
exactly - she legit can't lose and 'fooling' her can only be used so much. You can't make a character where her power is winning and think it becomes interesting. I mean the only real use I see is someone being so OP that they outright overcome her ability and it would be a feat that established how strong that character was.

Yes because how can she have the inability to not lose then she can die and be manipulatied into unfavorable odds? Also her probability manipulation is limited and only goes so far. So anything outside her probability field will affect her. I feel her powers would become muddled & confuse the readers.

If she was to go up against someone like laura Kinney, or someone who could heal and pop her foot claws to make it harder to knock her down then technically Isca could lose just from getting knocked down, right?

I imagine that (ISCA: The UnBeaten) would be the perfect opponent against the villain TASKMASTER in Marvel cartoon shows.
I can imagine there are many versions of (Isca) who are Anti-Heroes, a few others that are villains, and other versions of her that are BountyHunters.
But I imagine that there are only two alternate versions of (ISCA: THE UNBEATEN) who have a moral-code, who can’t stand having such a long life line, and who fear experiencing allot of pain if they die.
In addition those two Iscas’s feel genuinely guilty, when they are forced to betray their allies, and their friends do to something unexpected that suddenly happens.

That’s not all she does. In a 1v1 fight she can’t switch sides, so she pretty much can automatically defeat anyone. Also her power can affect other people’s fight, like when she ensured Magneto’s victory over Tarn because someone made a bet with her and she can’t lose

Don't get why she was pissed at Sunspot about the bet on the tarn fight when it's not like her power made magneto win she chose him because her power makes her chose the winning side. she didn't show any remorse when betraying her people and joining Annihilation or Uranos
I haven't read the comic but I'm assuming she was tricked into betting for Magneto. And because her powers cause her to always win, even when it comes to bets, Magneto beat Tarn. Meaning he probably could have held his own against Magneto if not outright beat him. So she was effectively tricked into betraying her ally.

As far as I can she picks the winning side because of her power it's not her power that makes them win. If it was she wouldn't betray her allies to be on the winning side. Also except for that moment she wasn't shown to have any remorse from her power causing her to betray her friends and allies. Hell she betrayed them not to long after this and even killed a member of the council

Isca is an Omega powered mutant and not an Omega mutant. Although her power is the inability to lose and she's lived for thousands of years she's still limited because she not can die and be manipulated. An Omega mutant has no limits and noone is better at what they do.
Although her probability manipulation is high due to her probability field extending several miles unlike Domino which is several feet, anything out side her probability field will affect her and kill her.
