I looooove Baraka Shea! They are so professional and amazing customer service! Great products with quick shipping to US. If you haven’t tried them please do! I have been making products for almost two years and I started with them so I have a special love for this company and what the do for the African community and workers! ❤️💯
I recently got in touch with a cooperative in Northern Ghana to import my organic shea butter directly. I can't wait to support those hard working women directly and ensure my product is responsibly obtained. I love that you use certified products that support women in industry ❤
Love the longer videos, and this a day in the life of Jerika was wonderful. I use traditional African Black Soap from Ghana and it's really nothing like the melt and pour African Black Soap. I make my African Black CP soap from a base pack of ingredients from Alicia's passions in Ghana. Beautiful soaps in this video and I love opening soap ingredient haul videos.
I just started soap making and kinda got taught to use only unrefined Organic, responsibly sourced Shea Butter along with all my ingredients. Love it personally and even when I just rub it straight onto my skin, delicious lol. Great vid as always Jerika 😜 Thank you for all sharing and caring. 🥰
I have a question about that jelly base. I watched your vid of you making it from scratch and you made it with ingredients that you like and approve of. Is the base you bought as good as what you put in yours....it sounded real impressive. If it's massed produced it won't be the same as your recipe right? Thanks for sharing....love your channel and I'm not even a soap maker but follow you. I'm a crafter but follow lots of creatives that interest me because I like lots of dif stuff to watch and learn. Tfs
I watched the entire Lost series. I was a bit lost at the end (no pun intended). I really didn't understand it. On a more positive note. I've only ever used Baraka Shea Butter. The Cocoa is great and so is the Shea.
Could you please send a little cold my way? Currently 82 degrees in Florida. I do have a question about the unrefined Shea butter. Did you have to strain any impurities out of it?
Actually if you use the heavy duty construction extension cords your fine! You just can’t use the household or low voltage extension cords! Those ones are for low wattage lamps or fans! I’m super allergic to anything made with hemp is there another oil that can be used instead of the hemp?
Hey Jerika! I'm thinking about starting a soaping venture in a couple years once my kids are a bit older...and in the meantime I've been doing some research about what types of products I would need to get started. I'm wondering where you got the presto melting pot, it looks like it would be so handy to have!
Ur thermostat might be set in Fahrenheit (?) Not sure why ur pipes would be prone to freezing, if it was built to code. If your sink is on an exterior wall, it could be a lack of insulation, but if you keep your basement colder, it might be adding to the freeze. A space heater or wrapping your water lines in additional insulation might help. Your insurance will be irate, if the pipes burst and it was a problem you knew about. Good luck!
Unrefined in the best way. Not chemically processed and stripped of the good nutrients, which is the main reason for using butters. The first 2 ingredients, and largest quantities, in our soap base recipe is 1st Unrefined Shea Butter and 2nd Unrefined Hemp Seed oil. As a result, our soap is very green in color, which makes coloring more of a challenge. Not a fan of too much Titanium Dioxide, so a white color/bar is nonexistent for us. Edit: Thank you for the video, but I feel slightly duped by a click bait title since I had to fast forward through half the video just to actually get to the footage relating to the video title. This would be better as 2 separate videos in my honest opinion. And with your subscribers, that's more monetization for you. Anything past 10 minutes and views dropped significantly.

Boy don't we know that excitement from getting soap supplies!

Your soaps are so beautiful!
Unrefined Shea is in my case recipe. The smell never carries over in my soap. But I definitely have to use refined in my butters and lotions. 👍
The snow glove could also be a crystal ball!
The colors are magnificent….the Buffalo Plaid shirt on Cale looks Great!
All Hail to Cale for all of his hard work as well!
Yes!!!!!

It’s changed my life!!!!! Love this Shea butter! ❤
Love your soaps!! Where did you learn how much to put in per recipe?
For your water problems let your tap run slowly so it don’t freeze up when is cold,I live in Norway so i know what your talking about
I love that company. I order from them all the time.
Yes I love Gardner's glove
if youre ever downtown and on centre street you should check out poke they have good poke bowls!
Are you putting the EO/FO in all the colors or just one? Also, is that glitter your using?

I've been following you for a little while but only just now realized I don't know if you're soaping at below 100*C or 100*F!

This shea butter is from Baraka company. I use it for years. P.s. use the heat transfer technic for cooling down your lye, you will gain time.

In central Florida. Feeling a bit cool today.
You should make fortune teller bombs with the snow globe after xmas ❤
I have them both but love santa and mrs claus
Omg ... - 18 I would be dead 😂 The coldest it gets here in Brisbane Australian is abt 10 degrees!
You need to let your water drip from the faucet when it drops below freezing. Your pipes will break if you don't. Plumbers are really expensive!
Love your content! Where did you get your soap moulds 😍
Very interested to see this!! Always love experiments!
Woohoo! Experimenting is the best!
@@JerikaZimmerman Yes!! Great discoveries are made in the process! I love it!

Any other light oil will work fine! I like avocado oil too! 😊
Where do you get the white buckets?

Do you soap currently at all?
No not yet! I'm waiting to start once my toddler is a bit older 😊
I also use high quality refined shea, I don’t like the nutty smell of unrefined shea specially for my emulsified lotions

This is so helpful - thank you! I suspect the previous owners DIY-ed this
Basement Reno hence why it might not be to code 😔
@Jerika Zimmerman it's best to check it out, then. Yyc is prone to huge Chinook/freeze cycles. It can wreak havoc on a well built house :)
Yay!!! Vlogmas I love the day in the life!!!
Some people only cover their eyes when they make the lye
I prefer the smell of unrefined Shea, I’ve never even tried refined
Love Tim Hortons when I am in the lovely country of Canada….
Timmies is so nice too!
flannel dupe of bbw?

Is Cal working elsewhere?
