you should get 1m subs for sure!!! could you make comparison between godox vl150 vs nanlite for the light please .. those two brands are compete with aputure light if not same its close enough but with cheaper price range which good for other creators would be awesome and also so many people are asking that question godox vs nanlite and as you know not many people has deep knowledge like you, i hope this can give you idea for next content. cheers dude!!
Loved how you showed the comparison on how both lights handle skin tones. Definitely shows me which light is better for projects I work on!
you can easily fix the magenta from the pavotube, adding around +10 to +15 on the G/M dial
Geralds bad audio is better than my best audio

Excellent job covering all the main bases; I've been hemming and hawing over a small light for drink photography anyway. I think the Aputure still wins it for me.

Great video as always. The low output of the MC has always been its biggest drawback for me. I've used Aputure F7 forever, and I've been spoiled by it's excellent color and extremely high output. Plus it runs on NP-F batteries or D-Tap. I know that's not apples to apples since it's not RGB, but dat output doh... keep up the good work!

"I'm Gerald Undone... and size DOES matter!" :D Love the little VW Combi writing! Great review too. It's maybe good to mention TLCI or even TM-30 if you have something like the Sekonic C-800 and can test those things, as they are more relevant to cameras than CRI (which is how the eye sees).

Great video. I ended up getting the YC Onion Pudding as desperately needed an LED light and that was literally the only thing the guy had in his shop. It is great for background / mood lighting, but wouldn't suggest using it to directly light your subject. Waiting now for the mc to be back in stock.

Hello, you told nanlite flickering but on video aputure has these bad flicker stripes all over the screen like all aputure light do.

I noticed an interesting thing with my 2 PavoTube II 6C and I was interested if you have seen the same. If I set them to 3200K G/M: 0 they show a light that is not looking good at all. It has too much magenta in it. But if I set my larger PavoTube II 15X to the same 3200K G/M: 0 it shows a much more correct color temperature with a warm light.
Did you test the CCT color temperatures anything?
I wish those Aputure MCs were available.
I've heard the falconeyes f7 is much better in terms of functionality and the output compared to the aputure mc, what's your thoughts on that?

Well the day ligth 5000k is realy bad. To much red on the skin. Can you color correct that... with the internal hue..... or can i only use it for rgb? I wanna get 2 of those tubes for rgb and normal skin tones in music video as background and close up. Will you recommend that gerald

Great job! It's upsetting that the CRI is listed as 95 but at least at the CT at which GU tried it the CRI was 91.

You’d need a 1/8 +green correction gel to fix the nanlite but for most use cases it should be fine

Can we have a review on the 15 or 30C please? Also what are your thoughts on whether Nanlite will release a V2 of the larger models soon now that we have a 'version II" of the 6C?
Gerald, the world is in peril. The moment has arrived. The world need for you to open a video about lights with all of them on green and pronouncing the Green Lanterns Oath. That will be the ultimate opening. I'm not going to copy the oath here because out of respect I'll assume that you know it already. I have spoken.
Where did you find nanlite underwater housings?
Is there any chance in the future to make a Picture Profile for ” low light situation ” for Sony a7 iii? So we can just choose the exact PP for low light situations.

Hey thanks for the cool vid Gerald.. I’ve just bought the Nanlite four pack of 15C’s and highly disappointed to learn you have to manually trigger the lightning mode in special effects. This sucks, as I’m a director and don’t want a crew member to have to climb up to the light and trigger them manually!! Epic Fail Nanlite.. if you want people to buy your lights, then please address this issue ASAP!!. Lightning is such a cool feature, but for it not to work as a ‘preset’ should do (automatically) seems really strange to me. Am I the only one? What’s your thoughts Gerald?

Nice comparison. Were the lights at full brightness in the examples at 7:25? I expected both lights to be a bit brighter or is this due to lower exposure?
Yeah, they were, but the scene was exposed for my regular lighting to give you an idea of the difference between a pocket light and a big COB light.
