  • It was a rainy, windy full moon night on Mount Mau Son. So we didn't expect much. But see what an astonishing diversity of insects came together in the shine of the light trap.

    Amazing seeing such a variety of moths all in one place. I would have been so worried about stepping on one by accident there were so many!

    Can't wait until summer! I mean, I hate the heat, but almost EVERY TIME, no matter the country, I've seen people get at least three spinx and one luna, both are on my "handle or never die" list

    3:06 wow! deaths head moth. very cool! 4:34 a rough luna moth with what it looks like a leopard moth photo bombing.

    Is there a specific type of light that works best to attract the most amount of bugs?

      I've been told anything that is UV works wonderfully, Mercury Vapor and Blacklights that give off UV in particular.
